The Big Red Story of the Day

Of course the really big story of the day is that today sees the launch of the Big Red Book of New Labour Sleaze updated to include all the latest shenanigans and with a bit more of a focus on Gordon Brown.

It has been written by bloggers with contributions from across the spectrum of the political blogosphere. It is in the bookshops this week or you can buy it online by clicking on the picture. And you can expect a little viral advertising campaign with a difference soon...

The Big Red Book of New Labour Sleaze

Have just finished Guido's last contribution to the new expanded follow-up edition to our last bestseller, The Big Red Book of New Labour Sleaze produced by writers from across the blogosphere. It should be in bookshops in three weeks, conveniently just in time for Brown's coronation. It will of course include more Brownite misdemeanours that we may have over-looked in the past.

So Guido's focus is back on the blog and political tittle-tattle just in time for the fun to begin with the next round of Loans-for-Lordships interviews. Guido has not missed the fact that Blair's people have been re-bailed, with the police looking set to strengthen their case before charges are brought.

Have no fear, charges will, one way or another, be brought.

Police Keeping Close Watch on Levy

There has been some speculation that the CPS could place charges as soon as June, which will coincide nicely with the Blair-Brown handover and the publication of the follow-up Big Red Book of New Labour Sleaze. Guido is also working on another book, with the working title "The Trial of Lord Levy", for publication, on the advice of lawyers, after the verdict.

While researching the latter book it has come to Guido's notice that, somewhat bizarrely for a man on police bail, whenever Sleazy Levy is in public he can invariably be seen being kept under the watchful eye of the Metropolitan Police. Guido understands that they are for his personal protection, not surveillance.

Guido never knew it could be so dangerous in leafy Mill Hill...

Iain & Guido's Christmas Party Drinks

Iain and Guido have not forgotten the promised party for The Little Red Book of New Labour Sleaze contributors and our friends. We've booked this Friday 15th because it clashes with nothing important that we have been invited to and obviously nothing and nobody important in politics would forget to invite either of us...

Invitations for for mulled wine and nibbles will be emailed shortly...
