After 10 years of New Labour this country is drowning in sleaze from top to bottom.

A work colleague on £22k gross pa ran up debts of £98k living the "Beckham lifestyle": loads of exotic foreign holidays, designer clothes, flash cars, champagne at top London clubs etc.

When the creditors started demanding payment he went to one of these "debt agencies" who arranged to write off most of the debt with an agreement that he pays £25 pm off the rest.

He's laughing his arse off, has got himself a load of new credit cards and is going to repeat the exercise with no let up in his spending.

There's a few million more like him, running up debts of millions then having them wiped out. And it's all perfectly legal.

What a way to run a country.
