His furious father Phil Cooper said the Government would have preferred his son to return to the UK in "a body bag" because it would have been cheaper. The 19-year-old also went on to contract MRSA and caught C difficile when he was in hospital recovering from his injuries. Despite a move by the Government to increase compensation to Armed Forces severely injured in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, Cooper has been told he will receive no extra money in addition to his compensation. The Bristol teenager was awarded a lump sum of £57,587 and an annual payment of £9,000 - 60 per cent of his final salary - for the remainder of his life. His father Phil said: "What faceless person decides that when your stomach is blown out, you lose the use of your leg and your hand is shattered, then that is worth only £57,000 for the rest of your life?

What a great pity this brave young man wasn't the son of Conway..hmmmm...did ANY son of an MP go to war...the one Bliar, Brown, Straw, Hoon etc supported?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-4476468988087602392008-02-11T15:36:00.000Z2008-02-11T15:36:00.000Z2008-02-11T15:36:00.000ZGeorge Galloway has written a great piece about Pa...George Galloway has written a great piece about Paxman in the Daily Record he is correct in what he saysRespectnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-50769495756485783832008-02-11T11:24:00.000Z2008-02-11T11:24:00.000Z2008-02-11T11:24:00.000ZThe parasitic scum can't even be bothered to do th...The parasitic scum can't even be bothered to do the job they are paid for - upholding our freedoms and democracy. His management of the 'target seat' programme is of far more value them the money he donates.
The 'Ashcroft Money'that has Labour wetting their pants, isnt really from Ashcroft. Ashcroft donates money *and* manages the targeting of funds.

For a candidate in a target seat to get money from Ashcroft target seat fund, he needs to put together a business plan.

The business plan needs to show how the candidate expects to win the election, how he will lever in extra funding. This plan is then subjected to interrogation. Think dragons den/ applying for a business loan from your bank.

This process sorts out the men from the boys, it tightens up the priorities of the candidate, and concentrates their minds on what they need to do to win.

Because the value of the 'ashcroft money' is far greater then the actual sum of money they recieve (ashcroft money to local associations is lower then TU money going into local labour associations), and thus is even more dangerous to Labour then they could ever imagine.Gmannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-75216096713697767382008-02-10T22:09:00.000Z2008-02-10T22:09:00.000Z2008-02-10T22:09:00.000Z"Why has Gordon Brown claimed £17K per annum as th..."Why has Gordon Brown claimed £17K per annum as the cost of maintaing a home in London when in fact he gets his accomodation (no11 then No10) for free?"

Yes , why ?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-2324248373161831402008-02-10T21:55:00.000Z2008-02-10T21:55:00.000Z2008-02-10T21:55:00.000Zashcroft is a fucking liability for the tories.and...ashcroft is a fucking liability for the tories.
and he's a pompous arse.
the tories just can't help whoring themselves for money.
it must be in their nature.thick as thievesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-1246474107507889762008-02-10T21:37:00.000Z2008-02-10T21:37:00.000Z2008-02-10T21:37:00.000ZHow many disability-benefit claimants = one DWP mi...How many disability-benefit claimants = one DWP minister's tax avoidance?Aberavon & Neath Liberal Democratshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12744060533288571298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-7234492489756155742008-02-10T21:21:00.000Z2008-02-10T21:21:00.000Z2008-02-10T21:21:00.000ZIf you have evidence of wrongdoing in regard to As...If you have evidence of wrongdoing in regard to Ashcroft, contact the authorities.livingnext2romaniansnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-13152604844173674442008-02-10T21:09:00.000Z2008-02-10T21:09:00.000Z2008-02-10T21:09:00.000ZLord Ashcroft is the elephant in the room of sleaz...Lord Ashcroft is the elephant in the room of sleaze that you fail to mention.TheVoleStranglernoreply@blogger.com
