Much as I hate to say it guys, it may be the first and last time Labour lose grip of Scotland.

The SNP can't get in a coalition and you know Labour will spoil their attempts at pushing through new legislation.

What's this got to do with Brown? Well just wait and see if Salmond can make a coalition. If he can't, Brown will be out, sniping at all and sundry.

Would dissagree here. By continuing to borrow and fend off the inevitable crash, Macavity will at least limit Labour's losses and dump a bigger pile of crap on the Tories. In the short-term, the Tories couldn't be blamed, but the Labour loving Broadcasters (BBC particularly) will quickly forget that their pals in Labour trashed the public finances (not that they'll admit they did anyway!). The Conservatives will have the worst of it to deal with, and Labour will taunt them with Unemployment being lower under them etc. etc. Most of the electorate have very slim grasp of macroeconomics, so over a longer period of time, the perception is that Tories are in power when unemployment was highest. There is no chance of Labour bringing forward the inevitable crash, it would confirm their previous economic mismanagement and increase their electoral losses massively. Make no mistake, Labour have no intention of becoming responsible after years of being irresponsible.
