Problem with Nulabour is that they have no core beliefs. Socialsim is about public ownership. It is central to their beliefs that all business owners are theiving bastards that exploit workers. That the workers should ultimately own the means of production and the banking system etc etc. And that a planned political economy will benefit from the the most efficient system of management and control that can be devised (implied - devised by bureaucrats). Bliar got rid of that so now what have they got? Well bugger all really as once that central tenet is off the balance sheet they have no other asset. All they can do is revert to some form of social interventionism and natiolisation lite - 'regulation'. However they all have the statist tendencies and cannot resist tax and spend.
