Who would you rather in charge until the next election - Gordon Brown or another member of the current Cabinet?

I hope that he decides to do the right thing - soldier on - doing only that which will look good in the history books - i.e. beginning the turn round for which Cameron will claim credit - just as surely as he Brown did for the achievements of Ken Clarke.

That way Brown may just make it possible for Ed Balls or a Milliband to beomce Prime Minister before they collect their bus pass.

Any other route and the LibDems make history of the Labour Party.
