A higher representation of black people in the prison system does not negate the possibility that Asians are also discriminated against eg. through high levels of stop and search. Racists stereotype black people as inherently violent and this accounts for the large number of convictions.

Finally, crime-levels in Jamaica (population approx. 2.5 million)are not representative of black people - it is a country where there is practically civil war raging between the corrupt aggressive authorities and resistant sections of the population. This 'cultural interference' cannot be ignored, nor can white people's historical 'cultural interference' in the former colonies which has led to black people immigrating to the UK. Your presumption that we are a "multicultural society that believe in "live and let live" is false.eyes wide opennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-28613858267896787942008-03-10T10:53:00.000Z2008-03-10T10:53:00.000Z2008-03-10T10:53:00.000ZYesterday the flip-flopping face of the Liberal De...Yesterday the flip-flopping face of the Liberal Democrats was exposed once again by Nick Clegg’s speech to their spring conference in Liverpool where he followed in the footsteps of Paddy Ashdown by saying that he would do no deals with either the Conservatives or Labour in the event of a hung parliament with a “shake up of the whole political system.”

Is this the same Nick Clegg who, alongside Bristol West MP Stephen Williams, attended a special two-day Parliamentary Away Day on 20th and 21st July 2007 at Henley Management Centre where internal documents passed on to the Sunday Telegraph show that it WAS decided that the Liberal Democrats would work in coalition with Labour or the Conservatives in the event of a hung parliament.

Funny how it was held at Henley Business School given that the principal, Chris Bones, happens to be the very person hand picked by Nick Clegg to head a new Party Reform Commission to look at all aspects of party organisation from structure to campaign capability.

Chris Bones is also Chair of the Oxford East Liberal Democrats and resident in the Cowley and Littlemore division and is married to fellow Oxfordshire County Councillor for Headington & Marston Gail Bones.

Has there been a change in policy recently or is this the Liberal Democrats showing once again how low they can fall when it comes to keeping their election promises as was proved by the recent debacle at Westminster over the Lisbon Treaty?

Personally, I think that young Clegg might have just dropped another clanger because the last time a Liberal Democrats Leader talked so openly about power sharing and the political system in 1992 the Conservatives won the subsequent General Election outright!

http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:fwZXoJo-YBYJ:www.bristolwest-libdems.org.uk/articles/000058/stephens_week.html+stephen+williams+mp+henley&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=uk

http://www.henleymc.ac.uk/General/faculty05.nsf/facname/Bones_Christopher

http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:4BzP-JMiAj8J:www.libdems.org.uk/news/clegg-announces-formation-of-party-reform-commission.13699.html+chris+bones+nick+clegg&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=uk

http://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/wps/portal/publicsite/doitonline/finditonline/councillorscommittees?cllr=2316&page=aboutyourcouncil.councillors.detail

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2008/03/02/nlibs102.xml

http://www.oxfordcountylibdems.org.uk/pages/chrisb.htmlGeoffrey G Brookinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08961581657906891056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-32114913317794985522008-03-10T10:02:00.000Z2008-03-10T10:02:00.000Z2008-03-10T10:02:00.000Z"Furthermore, given the self-acknowledged problem ..."Furthermore, given the self-acknowledged problem of institututional racism within the police force, it is highly probable that there are, in reality, many more racially motivated homicides which have not been investigated as such."

Ah, so you are claiming that black people end up in prison for homicide only because the criminal justice system is racist. And that is why there are ten times as many black people in prison as there should be, according to their numbers in the wider community. There are just three small problems with this:-

1] Asians are not over-represented in the prison population. Therefore you would need to suppose a form of racism in the criminal justice system which only applied to people that were very black, and not those that are a bit brown.

2] The commital proceedings in a homicide case allow the defence lawyer to determine if the members of the jury are fit for service or not. This gives the defence a chance to weed out any racists.

3] The murder rate in Jamaica is 20 times higher than in the UK. The murder rate amongst blacks in the UK is lower than the murder rate in Jamaica. So presuming a direct cultural transfer from Jamaica to the UK with no interference from UK culture (i.e. a multicultural society that believe in "live and let live") you would actually expect MORE UK black people to be in gaol for murder than is the case at present.

Perhaps we should give up the daft business of seeking to blame everyone but the perpetrators of murder and instead seek to throw all murderers, regardless of colour, into gaol for a very long time. That could be to the benefit of all our decent citizens, black and white.

Now fuck off, and take your liberal-left nonsense with you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-56780429918568855662008-03-09T02:36:00.000Z2008-03-09T02:36:00.000Z2008-03-09T02:36:00.000ZHere is the dictionary definition of the word cleg...Here is the dictionary definition of the word clegg:-
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/clegg
large swift fly the female of which sucks blood of various animals

(Otherwise a horsefly)

Somehow, this seems very apposite, doesn't it?

Clegg is a blood-sucking insect.

Yep. Fourteen victims were White, six Asian and three Black. There were no current suspects
identified for two of the White victims. It is possible that other homicides recorded in this three-year period
and dealt with by the courts have been considered as being racially motivated.

In itself, this is a pitifully small sample from which to extrapolate such sweeping figures. Furthermore, given the self-acknowledged problem of institututional racism within the police force, it is highly probable that there are, in reality, many more racially motivated homicides which have not been investigated as such. Indeed, in the 'General Findings' at the head of the report, this instititionalized racism is clearly underlined by the following statement:

...analysis here shows that members of our Black
communities are seven times more likely than their White counterparts to be stopped and searched, three
and a half times more likely to be arrested, and six times more likely to be in prison.

Under the heading "Racist Incidents", the paragraph below illustrates the general situation with respect to the racial contrast between victim and offender:

There were also differences in the ethnicity of the offender for crimes experienced by white and BME
victims. Where the victim was White, the offender (or one of the offenders if there was more than one), was
White in 89% of crimes, Black in 10% of crimes, Asian in 6% and Chinese/Other in 3% of crimes. Where
the victim was from a BME group, the offender or one of the offenders was White in 63% of crimes, Black
in 37% of crimes, Asian in 18% and Chinese/Other in 5% of crimes. op. cit

Here is the full address of the report:

http://www.cjsonline.gov.uk/downloads/application/pdf/Statistics%20on%20Race%20and%20the%20CJS%202006.pdfplease show workingnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-33074998108030495002008-03-08T17:36:00.000Z2008-03-08T17:36:00.000Z2008-03-08T17:36:00.000Zthank you bill quango mp if i may add a few car de...thank you bill quango mp

if i may add a few car dealer terms

"body work nice but motor sounds a bit cleggy"

"theres a noticeable cleggy whine from the gear box"

"theres alot of clegg around the wheel arches"

"dont buy it , its totally clegged"

or from the school of dogey junior estate agents.

"this property is ripe for modernisation a real diamond in the clegg"

"this property having the benefit of being located close to a recently re worked toxic clegg tip in an up and comming area "

"this property is located in a well known clegg postcode area where violent crime is falling from 40% definitely one for the investor"red despot spotternoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-72336511027624367212008-03-08T15:46:00.000Z2008-03-08T15:46:00.000Z2008-03-08T15:46:00.000ZThey've put "Nick Clegg" in the text and then unde...They've put "Nick Clegg" in the text and then underlined it as if to stress it - I thought he was Chris Clegg...?machiavelliwww.jamied.infonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-82436476937184976282008-03-08T15:04:00.000Z2008-03-08T15:04:00.000Z2008-03-08T15:04:00.000ZJust think how truly appalling the next limpdum le...Just think how truly appalling the next limpdum leader will be.
they went from a faggot to a drunk to a dementia patient and now a whining prick where can they go next? pond scum...clegg making the limps even more pathetic was quite an achievement.
It really is a good thing that whatever they do doesn't matter.mitchnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-2221219117239681282008-03-08T14:44:00.000Z2008-03-08T14:44:00.000Z2008-03-08T14:44:00.000Zwith apologies to" you cleggy twat said..."A Clegg...with apologies to
" you cleggy twat said..."
A Clegg is already in the dictionary and has been for a few weeks now.

Online Dictionary
2 entries found

Clegg [1.verb]
Clegg [2.noun]

Pronunciation K-leg

Inflected form(s)
Clegged, Clegg-ing, Clegg-er, Son - of -a- Clegg.

etymology: very middle left english
21 st century
Transitive verb To Clegg

1: to blunder in the choice of
common usage < I have Clegged myslef into a corner for no good reason >

2: to misunderstand the meaning or intention of : {don't Clegg me, I mean exactly what I said}
b: to make a wrong judgment of the character of {we have got a right Clegg here}

3: to identify wrongly : confuse with another {I mistook him for someone competent, but he is a Clegg}

Adverb Cleggerly:
{ We thought him wise, but he now appears Cleggerly }

See also under Owen,Ming,Kennedy and {to follow shortly}Bill Quango MPhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14861116614665461655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-57248595764803197262008-03-08T14:39:00.000Z2008-03-08T14:39:00.000Z2008-03-08T14:39:00.000ZMy wife can't tell the difference between him and ...My wife can't tell the difference between him and Cameron.
