re the question that a few people have raised: "Could it be that we have a mentally ill PM?"...

I'd like to know the answer to that too. I don't personally think he's mentally ill in the everyday sense of the meaning.

"Mentally ill" generally seems to mean that someone has *developed* a condition (either physically in the brain due to constant (re)enforcement or a stroke/accident etc, or chemically, or a combination of both)

Whereas "disabled" would be more in line with some kind of birth defect (ie the original make-up of your brain at the time of birth).

I don't know the details, but my guess would be that Gordon Brown would be better described as "disabled" rather than "mentally ill".

Offhand I'd guess that his core disability is that he's a natural born sociopath (unable to empathise with anyone, basically the same as what everybody else describes as "not human", ie more like a goldfish than a chimp), and that that core disability is what's causing all the mentally ill symptoms (such as frustration when he can't understand what other people say/mean)

It's a big subject this one; judging by what I've read about him and seen from his own actions/utterances, he's self-evidently a sociopath; I can't think of any other way to explain the things he does/says. In the real world when you meet people like that, you just stay well clear of them because a person who can't empathise with other people is often infinitely more dangerous than someone who's just mentally ill, as you can never reason with a sociopath.

Here's the scoop.

Jonathon Ive was an exact contemporary of mine and we both studied Product/industrial design at Northern
Polys.

1. Britain long led the world in
Graphics/Product/Fashion/Textile and Interior design. All these course were only available at the Polys, though in many the Polys had just taken over
established art colleges.

2. Because there was no competition from Universities, the Poly art courses were peopled by the best of the best.

3. When Ive and I studied, the average class size was around 25 and we had access to well-equipped workshops and technicians.

4. The courses were also free and I received a full
grant from Maggie.

5. Since then, Labour has fucked the whole system.
Massively increasing class sizes (over a 100 per year on some design courses) means your chance of a good training is massively reduced. And the buggers have the cheek to charge tuition fees for a much, much worse course.

6. Under the Tories, you could get a world-class
design training for free, money to live off and lots
of talent from humble homes was liberated.

7. Under Labour, you get a shit course, pay a fortune for it and then find the value of your degree is much devalued.

8. Johathon Ive is the product of Conservative
education policy.

After 11 years of Labour, it won't be a Brit who comes up with the next world-changing product concept.

a) that he was stooppid enough to go on This Morning in the first place - though given his personality and current standing in the polls I would have been better talking to Denise rather than Fern.

b) though I was really worried for his mental health, when his little face lit up and he said, "shared equity is really interesting" - he might have said exciting, which is worse - it was at this point I realised that Gordon Brown is in fact a robot, which would explain why he is not in touch with not only the British people but the human race.

To think that This Morning wasted time on this person, when they could have been talking about which wine to drink with your gas bill. Or 101 ways of using old tights to keep a pensioner warm - now that the 10p tax thing has made the winter fuel payments meaningless - my favourite idea being that the pensioner wear them as a mask and go and do a post office raid - assuming that there are any post offices left by next winter.

Ive did create the iPod, what he did not create was the portable MP3 player. The iPod made the MP3 player usable by everyone. The simplicity of the interface is often not respected. It was groundbreaking. Simplicity is very hard.

I bought an MP3 player ages ago, and it was the best at the time - a Samsung Yepp64,as in MB. Whoopee-doo. 20 songs max. AAA batteries, crap software to transfer songs that took an age. Buttons everywhere. Chaos.

Then out came the iPod. I bought the first gen on the first day it was out in Hong Kong where I lived Dec2001. I still have it. It still works. 1000 songs. Lightning fast Firewire connection and iTunes interface. Fat as a pack of cards. At the time people did not "get it".

Forget the iPod claim, what really pisses me off is the claim to be creating jobs. No government ever creates jobs. It may create employment within the state sector, but these are not necessarily, in fact rarely are jobs. Only the private sector creates jobs.

This 'Big Lie' technique is endemic among lefty twats like Brown. They chose a factoid about which they are confident their interlocutor or general audience knows nothing, exagerate it or just downright make it up, and state it as a fact. The honest interlocutor, not wishing and not able to call the speaker a liar, has to accept the factoid.

Then you go away look it up and hey presto, whadayano it was a lie. But of course it's too late and you've 'lost' the argument.

In every discussion in all of my life with nearly every, but not quite all, lefties they persist in doing this. Gordon does it all the time. Eventually, as in now, and especially if you are in the public domain it will catch up with them as it has with Gordon the Moron.

Interviewers of Brown are just beginning to realise all this and the less sympathetic or smarter are getting more and more sceptical of him. Sooner or later they will start treating him with scorn, if he keps on like this, which he will.

As far as the UK's international reputation is concerned the same comments apply. Our peer group of statesman will also see through Brown and our international stock will plummet.
