Just imagine a 40 minute journey on a packed underground train coupled with inane apologies and stupid little witticisms from the driver and conductor all of which are guaranteed to make you want to throttle the bastards on arrival in Paddington and you get a slight idea of what it must be like day by day for commuters on that line.Julianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03851642585686790590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-1169844640679017212007-01-26T20:50:00.000Z2007-01-26T20:50:00.000Z2007-01-26T20:50:00.000ZBoris not being in touch with reality is news now,...Boris not being in touch with reality is news now, is it?ianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13462118851964861754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-1169843257351315632007-01-26T20:27:00.000Z2007-01-26T20:27:00.000Z2007-01-26T20:27:00.000ZOf course it's shit... it's First Great Western tr...Of course it's shit... it's First Great Western trains he's on aboutD-Noticehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01351343507770814926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-1169830233863391332007-01-26T16:50:00.000Z2007-01-26T16:50:00.000Z2007-01-26T16:50:00.000ZVerity - dream on! The fact that my colleagues and I have to gain permission to protest outside our own House is ridiculous.

“These laws were designed purely to stop Brian Haw protesting, and then issues about terrorism were raised to justify them.

“What these laws have actually done is waste immense amounts of police time on paperwork and on arresting people who have done nothing more than hold a placard outside Parliament.

“Surprisingly, when I requested a copy of the form to make our protest legal, I was informed that it was only available to download from Mark Thomas’ web site.

“My Bill will return people’s right to protest, which should be a basic liberty in any democracy.”

ENDS

Quite good I reckon...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-1169806720040874832007-01-26T10:18:00.000Z2007-01-26T10:18:00.000Z2007-01-26T10:18:00.000ZI think he meant to say Alistair Darling was servi...I think he meant to say Alistair Darling was servicing himself over Ben Bradshaw .......Clive Bnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-1169806610808028402007-01-26T10:16:00.001Z2007-01-26T10:16:00.001Z2007-01-26T10:16:00.001ZI think the telegraph subs must have been asleep. ...I think the telegraph subs must have been asleep. Despite the computer the basic time table was optimised for the track layout about 40 years ago by some maths-bod and can't be improved significantly. Wihtout a new signalling system the sections of track can't be reduced and more trains can't used.javelinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-1169805930922271262007-01-26T10:05:00.000Z2007-01-26T10:05:00.000Z2007-01-26T10:05:00.000ZBoris Johnson will never let facts stand in the wa...Boris Johnson will never let facts stand in the way of his exuberance, it's part of his entertainment value, but we usually get his meaning.Michael Francisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-1169805718496330572007-01-26T10:01:00.000Z2007-01-26T10:01:00.000Z2007-01-26T10:01:00.000ZGuido this is great fun ,just think of all us idio...Guido this is great fun ,just think of all us idiots youv'e nailed ,what goes around comes aroundAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212152.post-1169805613679397072007-01-26T10:00:00.000Z2007-01-26T10:00:00.000Z2007-01-26T10:00:00.000ZObviously a job for the Fat Controller.Obviously a job for the Fat Controller.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
