the Brown bottom proves to be bigger than you thought Guido :-)

Hazel Blears said...

I think this shows the general public, and the fine constituents of Glasgow East in particular think that they have problems and have demonstrated that they think Gordon Brown is the right man to lead them into the future

la breeze said...

SHIT IS GOING DOWN!

javelin said...

Gordon's Bottom's fallen out - again.

Next step independence.

i hate labour said...

The Brown bottom has had so much put inside it in the last 11 years but I suspect it will be sad, drug ridden, poor little rent boys only from now on. Oh, and perhaps the odd trade union leader grasping at straws!

la breeze said...

Independence for Scotland - brilliant, at least now the rest of the UK won't have to subsidise the lazy bastards.

chuck said...

I guess this means the break-up of the UK isn't far away..

Fluffy said...

PB is back up. Guido, scrap the caption contest later today. Replace it with "Questions to Nick Palmer on electioneering" instead.

As they say in sweatie-land fucking delicious!

Liz said...

Wee Dougie Alexander looks as if he wants to eat his own tongue. This is joyous.

la breeze said...

Wee Dougie Alexander's getting a bit nasty on the BBC...calm down dear!

javelin said...

Wee Dougie can't even convince himself that Labour are going to win.

He must have spent the past fortnight playing knock down ginger on the door steps rather than face the punters.

yeah wee dougie right on man "I have decided not to comment on what advice i gave gordon on the general election "

Douglas Alexander is so fucking deluded we could tell him shit was sugar and he'd believe us.

What utter, utter crap coming out of this tools mouth!

"Focusing on the business of government...fourth Labour term...National Policy Forum...Issue not coming up on the doorsteps...blah, blah, blah, fucking, blah!"

And Chuck: I assume you're a whiskey guzzling idle Scot right? English/Welsh taxes are paying for idle Scots to stay on benefits, subsidising the economy...we'd really be fucked wouldn't we?

javelin said...

Newspapers will lead with "Earthquake shakes Scotland" - 3rd safest seat in Scotland lost to SNP.

Gordon will be to scared to resign. Milliband and Balls will plead with him to stay.

Maybe it's because it's late but that had me in stitches.

Didn't we have the run-up to a world war 100 years ago...? Keep taking the drugs cunt (when you are not selling them back to the Scottish NHS)!

Word verification: dqlladeg. Does that mean I can now speak Welsh...?

Anonymous said...

What's with Dougie and his 63 quarters ,I thought this crap had only been in for 11 years.

Liz said...

If this does mean the men in grey suits finally get their act together, I don't see a) who will pick up the poisoned chalice (please God not Harman) or b) how Labour can legitimately carry on without calling a general election. Dave may not be *able* to do the shopping on his own at Tesco for much longer.

javelin said...

BBC saying best guess SNP win by 1400-1500 votes

Anonymous said...

"How low can he go?"
"How low can he go?"
"How low can he go?"
"How low can he go?"

Would Gordon be better off if he hadn't bottled the original election?

Answer:*NO* - by putting off the general election he (and his herd) will have benefited from two years at the trough, rather than just a few months.

When he offers his rear end (if you can tell them apart) to the unions this week for a severe shafting, in return for them keeping the loan sharks at bay he may get the slightest inkling of the level of humiliation he wrought on the electorate of this country.

Third safest labour seat? - oh to imagine that labour could be reduced to 2 seats in the HoC...

captain cupcake said...

BBC Scotland suggest SNP majority of 1400

chuck , i cant thank your kinsman enough , if you think this labour lot are abunch of degenerate crooks , or what ever the highland term is .

Gordon said...

anon @ 1.10

Why 2 Lab seats in HoC? The predicted majority is 1400/1500. I think they might all get wiped out

(Well, I don't, but it's late and I'm having a beer, celebrating and am allowed to get carried away)

la breeze said...

Perhaps it's because it's late, but I'm singing 'So Long, Farewell' to myself and laughing like a bitch!

Delicious!

javelin said...

Crick is such a NL fanboy "I was taunting Dave he would lose his deposit."

Are we really paying our taxes to pay for this card carrying socialist?

Anonymous said...

Hope you guys are enjoying this rare insight into the BBC/Labour love-in in Scotland. You thought the EBC was bad.

The whole FUCKING thing has been about Labour, and how they can get back on track. Not a cunting word about the surge in support for SNP.

Hawkeye Pierce said...

in the words of another prolific poster:

FUCKING DELICIOUS!

la breeze said...

javelin, ignore Michael Prick - shit, sorry, Crick - just enjoy the moment...

Dusanne said...

Anybody else laughing at the BBC 'pollster' claiming that Cameron's ability only to achieve a swing of 4ish percent towards the Conservative in a SNP/Labour two horse race is some kind of disaster?

Jo Swinson...quite fit...but then again, beggars can't be choosers. Absolutely no totty tonight. Come on Beeb!

And I've just realised, no Jeremy Vine twatting about! It doesn't feel right...

Gordon said...

Arse, I want to laugh at wee Dougy but I'm visiting the parents and their TV seems to be broken (and this comp is so old I can't get streaming to work). FiveLives analysis is fine but I want to watch Dougy cry

Also, how long before Broon sacks this shit - it's all gone down hill since the election that never was which, if I remember, was wee Dougy's idea.

(Bastard still kept his ministerial salary while planning the election instead of pretending to do his proper(ish) job too)

Liz said...

Oh, fucksocks - something is up. I really, really don't want to have to stay up for a recount.

Dougie's on hand he sorted out the last vote in Scotland and screwed it up as per most of Labour's recent efforts.

J said...

BBC rumour SNP majority 354 votes on the first count.

Liz said...

They're talking about two adjacent Currans on the ballot being confusing. I think the implication here is that Glasgow East voters aren't very good at reading.

i hate labour said...

Hang on, Labour look as if they may have found some "extra votes". Bastards.

Enoch Thatcher said...

yeah jo swinson is ok i'd shag her, mind you I've downed 12 cans of tescos lager so perhaps my judgment is impared somewhat - (sorry gordon u cunt, will try not to binge drink in future) looks like a recount :(

Anonymous said...

Don't rule out a double recount. If this suddenly swings Labour's way, the SNP are bound to respond.

Anonymous said...

liz - notice they are warming up their excuses ready !!

la breeze said...

Fucking stupid illeterate, innumerate Scots bastards!

Dougie is peddling the line that there are 2 Curran's and this complicates the process. You reckon Labour are so desperate to polish this turd that they'll actually imply Glaswegians are illiterate?

Tankus said...

Glaswegians too stupid to tell their currans from their sultanas

la breeze said...

I've thought of a couple of new slogans for Jo Swinson at the next election:

"Jo Swinson - quite sexy after some Tesco lager."

"Sexier than Douglas Alexander and Nicola Sturgeon - Vote Swinson"

"Jo Swinson: any port in a storm"

Liz said...

Looks like they're pulling out all the Curran bundles (both flavours) and recounting *those*, rather than the whole shebang.

Bill Quango MP said...

Curran told the returning officer..
Where's all the postal votes? I bought in 5 sacks of them myself.
We have won. We are ZanuLabour. We don't lose. And not to Morgan Salmond. We have been in power here for 60 years, since the end of colonial rule. WE WILL NOT GO AWAY.
NOW GET COUNTING

Liz said...

"Sexier than Douglas Alexander" <-- So is leprosy.

Bill Quango MP said...

Apparently the recount was ordered by Sarkozy.

He didn't like the first vote so Glasgow East will have to vote again.

The Arrogant Worms have a lyric for historic nights like this:
History is made by stupid people
Clever people wouldn't even try
If you want a place in the history books
Then do something dumb before you die

Gordon can feel the boot of history upon his backside and even now is spinning it as: "s'not my fault, it's Tony/the credit crunch/Russia/any other world event for which I am not responsible", before finally resorting to "we are listening" (which they aren't or they wouldn't be down this hole.)

He is going to do down as not just an unsuccessful Labour leader, but The One who presided over the implosion of the Party despite being handed plenty of money, a growing economy and every reason to sit back and not pass a lot of sodding silly legislation. Labour can only stay in power now by declaring a state of emergency and refusing to hold elections at all.

Here's the song with Dr Who clips set to it. Has anybody seen Dr Who in Glasgow East this evening - he always shows up at historic disasters.

Bill Quango MP said...

Bollocks to this. Time for bed. The gimp will still be in power in the morning whatever happens.

la breeze said...

Sorry red despot spotter...I'm quite giddy at the thought of things getting ever worse for Brown. I've cracked open some bubbly and having a right old time.

Such fun!

The gimp will still be in power in the morning whatever happens.

Your crystal ball is malfunctioning - power is slipping away from him with and embarrassed look on its face, doing up its trousers and claiming it was a case of mistaken identity. He's only in office, not power. The preciousss has slipped off his er, finger...

Gordon said...

I've finally got streaming to work - wee dougy is a twat, I still want to see him cry

Ooh - so apparently it was a full recount, but they estimate they'll be done in ten minutes.

But not a full recount. Just bundle checks

scribblercraig said...

As I just tweeted at www.twitter.com/craigmcgill - about 354 in its. Recount - asked by Labour - due to two Currans on voting sheet and closeness of number. Full recount on go, result expected 2.15am

It seems that Michael Prick (...shit, always do that, sorry...) Michael Crick is more devastated about this defeat then Dougie Alexander!
