Labour PPC : "Gordon is Giving Me Nightmares"

John Wiseman, Labour PPC for Westmorland and Lonsdale has, writing on LabourHome, candidly admitted that he seems "to be in the middle of a nightmare at present... Everyone seems depressed where I am standing for parliament. Gordon has decided to take money away from his core vote, PPS's are threatening to resign!! When are we going to wake up!!! There is hundreds of councillors who are going to lose their seats if Gordon doesn't listen. I am asking please Gordon for the last time wake up and smell the coffee..."

He blames it squarely on the abolition of the 10p tax rate...

John Wiseman is a stupid whinging tosspot. McTwat can no sooner save his arse or NuLab's than he can shag Cherie Blair.

The 10p tax withdrawal is not the problem. It is 10 years of misrule that will bring the Govt down. 10p is the he catalyst or tipping point to get rid of this shower.

Is that the 10p rate that the Tories called a gimmick when it was introduced?

The message from LibDem canvassers across Wales is that the doubling of the 10% tax rate is uppermost in the minds of former Labour voters. It could be that barely one council in Wales remains in Labour control on May 2nd.

How many of the Labour MPs who are now creating about the abolition of the 10p rate actually voted for it at a time when they could have stopped it I wonder? Research topic Guido ????

The comments speak volumes for the type of clone the Labour Party has been selecting as a candidate for the past 20 years. They make the Vicar of Bray look like a man of principle. Where were Wiseman and the other gutless ones when Brown announced the abolition of the 10p rate in the first place? At the time the Times pointed out that it might cause political problems. If Wiseman can't handle the heat then he should resign as a candidate and start retaking the prozac. Before taking this course of action he could however read the very sensible article by Robert Chote of the IFS in today's Sunday Telegraph on the 10p issue. This whole revolt issue is pathetic and just sums up the quality of the political class at the moment. The time for revolt was when Brown announced the cut. All of those who are threatening to resign should be told by Brown to get lost. After all who the hell is Angela Smith now she has had her 15 mimnutes of fame?

Brown is so drunk with power he has lost all sense of reality ( if he ever had it ). He just cannot see what a self destruct button he has pressed. He is just so arogant and pig headed he will go down saying it was the right thing to do. Just who does he think he is. Labour are totaly finished.

Vote for Mr Wiseguy! He could easily fill the extensive void left by John Prescott. The double chin, the smug smirk, the abysmal ignorance: these make him the perfect candidate. The pic hints also at sartorial problems which would be icing on the cake.

If he doesn't get in, though, there's always Terry Kelly:

http://terrywatch.blogspot.com/

We slaves woke up to a good laugh this morning when we heard that Prescott has confessed to bulimia. It seems Mrs P. had noticed that "food was missing" from the Prescott larder (aka the Dome) and an explanation was sought. It seems that we were not the only ones crying "Who ate all the pies?"

Her response? "Hold on a minute, hubby o'mine -- aren't bulimics supposed to be thin?"

In real terms those on low incomes are far worse off at the end of Labour's rule, as the personal allowance has not risen accordingly.

Gordon's claim that they can give all their personal details to the state and claim credits is laughable. We the taxpayer finance the state NOT the other way round. The Moron is a moronic control freaking CUNT.

'And now Guido's got it. Wiseman, as a PPC you have to consider your words on the blogosphere as opponents will use them to their advantage - especially before an election.

Honesty is good in politics, BUT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN BETTER TO BE HONEST AFTER MAY 1ST.

This latter comment confirms and says more about New Labour principles and tactics than anything said by Wiseman which is merely a statement of the obvious.

Unfortunately, we know the answer to that one. A delivery van driver in Basildon yesterday said he was waiting to see if he would be affected by the loss of his 10p tax band. If the cost is about £300 they will probably have to go without their annual coach holiday.

During the 2007 leadership campaign Gordon was anxious to be photographed with supporters in Basildon. The local MP Angela Smith was particularly supportive of Gordon during his leadership campaign, as the local paper, the Echo, reported in greater detail.

Mr Brown told of a visit to Basildon in 1996 when he hatched a plan with Mrs Smith to take the seat from the Tories. (He) vowed to fight to increase the majority of Labour MP, Angela Smith, at the next election, despite boundary changes which make it a marginal seat. The new South Basildon and East Thurrock constituency, which loses the centre of Basildon, but takes in Pitsea, is 16th on the Tory hitlist at the next General Election.
"If I can achieve anything, it will be to increase Angela's majority at the next General Election."

Angela Smith is thought to be cacking herself ahead of the local elections where vhite van man has been caught flirting with the independent candidates. The BNP also believes it can make a showing as it has an organized field of candidates across the wards. Anything short of a rout will be touted as a Labour victory.

If Liebour supporters (have they still got any for God' sake!)think they've trouble now, you just wait and see the problems they have by the Autumn!

Petrol and diesel are about to rocket, let's say £1.50 per litre by the end of the year. Interest rates payable on mortgages - let's say the best you'll get is the standard variable rate, say 7.5%.

Producer price inflation is the highest its been since 1991, over 20% year on year. And sterling hasn't even semi-started its decline. Wait till its £1 to 1 Euro, £1 to $1.50.

Just watch price inflation rise then. This is the just the beginning of an economic meltdown not seen since the depression.

They noticed right away, Tom, a year ago - they just didn't give a fuck, because they were ahead in the polls. Now they're not, so last year the poor could go hang, while this year suddenly it's crocodile tears all round for them.

Labour does, however, sincerely care about one small, marginalised group in society, a group which lacks the means to earn a decent living and therefore exists on state handouts in a ghastly, hopeless moral twilight.

That group is the Parliamentary Labour Party.

DO NOT CLAIM TAX CREDITS!!

They give it to you one year, then claim they miscalculated and the next year they make you pay it back as a lump sum!

But who is to say that the recalculation is the correct calculation?

I know of four families tricked into obtaining Tax Credits. And EVERY one of them was told that there'd been a mistake and they all had to pay massive sums back next year, under threat of court action.

Four out of four? There's something very fishy about NuLabour.

My advice is to avoid Tax Credits even if you are stuffed by the new tax rate. Or you'll pay much more next year.

I'll put money on U - turn right before May 1st. Having just read Peter Obourne's book, I am firmly of the opinion that we hear nothing on the news that they dont want us to hear. So we get Gordon Browns Poll Tax moment whipping the voters into a frenzy, then he graciously climbs down at the last minute and we all vote labour again with a sigh of relief.

Alternatively he just doesn't give a fuck. Another section of Obourne's excellent book tells us that the government of the day needs only to appeal to a very small number of swing voters - who probably are not the same people who will get fucked over by this change in tax.

Either way, Brown is a fucking asshole and deserves to be impailed on a spike and left to slide down it slowly as we all hurl our faeces at him.
