How to Hack Harriet Harman

As the government contemplates a law to criminalise "reckless" losses of data it is worth reflecting on the sophisticated data security employed by Harriet Harman to prevent hacking of her blog:
username : harriet
password : harman

The hacker also tells Guido that he used "log-less multiple proxies" - which are the internet equivalents of dead drops. Apparently.

UPDATE Sunday :
Adam Boulton asked Harman on Sky if the story above was true (Adam, how could you doubt?) she sheepishly confirmed it to be the case.

"log-less multiple proxies" this would mean as much to her as "resign on principle" and "democratic election"

On a lighter note could someone drop a copy of the News of the World in the morning cos theres an article Gordon would like to read.

Oh, dear "Happy Harriet".

If she were a horse you would think twice about making a decent glue out of her.

I am still trawling the internet for an arms manufacturer that makes a weapons system with enough ammunition for me to fully express how I feel about the Neo Labour Project.

I'm quite sure that the way the Lisbon treaty is worded (especially the footnotes of its footnotes ) and given the fact that we are currently at war in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Perpetrator could be argued to have commited a capital offence and can be legally executed by the state.

Who knows, with the Right Lawyer, perhaps even Harman could be said to have undermined state security by not using a better Pasword and is therefore just as guilty.
These EU Despots have arranged it so they can just make it up as they go.

You think I'm Joking don't you.

Great to see that our masters [and mistresses ;-) ] are taking those messages they trot out about data security so seriously..

Still, look on the bright side, Hazza, you're not as incompetent as Yvette Cooper, yet..

Are these legless multiple doxies to be found outside the boundaries of the M25 and, if so, do they do a turn?

Surely it doesn't matter WHAT username and password she has? What matters is that if you do use it to crack (I prefer that word to hack) her site then you are exposing yourself to prosecution under the Misuse of Computers Act. I only say this because I have indeed been prosecuted and convicted under this act (subsequently overturned upon appeal, thank God) so I do urge you to be very careful in how you approach this old sport - I would hate to get an Error 404 on www.order-order.com like this morning only to find that Guido has henceforth been castrated.

One more point Guido - your word verification is almost impossible to read now, any chance you could sort this out?

Fucking. Silly. Bitch.

In any private enterprise, that would be practically a sackable offence. Definitely a written warning and a training course on why security is important.

Why are our so called 'leaders' so lobotomisedly thick?

I have to work in the public sector in terms of creating IT solutions (and deal with their champagne taste and beer money). We have to conform to 1000's of fucking pages of security, only for this aombie thick cunt to choose the most obvious fucking password.

No doubt that Harman will preach 'Lessons have been learned, steps will be taken to make sure it will never happen again'...

No wonder she cannot be trusted to look after any data.

Bet she still buys her knickers from C and A.

The ineptitude of this regime knows no bounds. It isn't just Brown, they're incompetent from top to bottom. No wonder so many people don't claim tax credits or other benefits.

My boss, a company-owning Labour supporter, as it happens, has decided to dispense with passwords on the email system at work.

All you have to do is open up the mail server, type in anyone's email address, and you can access their email account.

Apparently it is so he can read anyone's emails. Fuckwit. Though typical of Labour thinking, sadly...

With Feckless Harriet plainly not knowing anything about internet password security, has anyone tried her mail server login at Number 10 at all?

great quote from a few months back.

"Are you an accountant"
"no"
"Do you have any qualification in economics or accountancy at all"
"no"
"please tell the panel your job title"
"I am the Finance Director for the Ministry of Defence"

I'm not an I.T expert and I'm not an accountant, and I'm not an economist and I'm no security expert excuses again.

Well that's the problem. You should be you idiots. Putting the political science teacher in charge of the country has been a pretty poor idea.

Well if he owns the company and all the office equipment in it (and pays the bill for your internet usage) then he has every right to do so.

Err NO, in the UK an employer cannot just read employees work emails. It depends...

read http://www.itwales.com/998242.htm

to understand.

Also there is a lot of crap on the internet that is USA related not UK nor EU law related regarding this matter. Focus only on UK and EU law!

To M person of no fixed political abode said..., your boss may be in breach of many laws UK and EU. Did you sign anything called something like a computer use or email use policy?

The info below, from Citizens Advice Bureau, shows Anon 10.33 pm is right. In the circumstances outlined by No Fixed Abode the employer is within his rights to snoop on the e-mails.

MONITORING ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS AT WORK

Your employer can legally monitor your use of the phone, internet, e-mail or fax in the workplace if:

- the monitoring relates to the business

- the equipment being monitored is provided partly or wholly for work

-your employer has made all reasonable efforts to inform you that your communications will be monitored.

In most cases your consent is not required for monitoring of electronic communications as long as the employer can show that these rules are met.
