Somehow, I feel there's an accursed connection between 'oilfields shut down' and 'The Scotsman' but can't quite figure out what it is.
so, if I've got this right, the country loses 25 million pounds in tax revenue every day for the next two weeks because some spastic oil refinery owner wants to cut the pension entitlements of his slaves.
what the fuck is going on? this cunt is fucking up our already fragile economy.
and where is that cunt gordon?
he ordered unite to mediate and by doing so he overruled the actual union involved, the t&g who didn't want to talk to the owner-spastic.
the managent were going to cave in until that point.
FUCKING JONAH STRIKES AGAIN!!!!!!!!
Try working in the haulage industry McTwat is determined to bring this country to a complete stop. 3 subcontract hauliers we use have gone bust in the last 2 weeks and they weren't small firms either and no one has come in to buy them out as no one can get the return out of haulage at the moment thanks to fuel prices.
It really is getting to the will the last Briton to leave Mc Twats empire turn the fucking lights out
How DARE you scaremonger SIR?
Our Beloved PM has told us not to panic and all will be well.
What is a "Stock out", is this a new Gordonism for the cupboard being bare?
A bit like when Tescos haven't got any left in the stock room they stick an 'out of stock' label on the shelf?
You just know things are going bad for Gordon when the Guardian gives Dave a better write up in the same article.
Brief encounter at Paddington
Dave visits real people in Cardiff, while Gordon goes around the Institute of Life Sciences in Swansea looking for a vote.
Striking for the sake of people who haven't even joined the company yet.
How perfectly 1970s and totally bizarre!
Will Gordo be reading up on Sunny Jim?
Superb, I get the feeling the oil companies will be quite willing to take the hit if this will help bring down the Zanu Labour cunts. Call it sweet revenge for 2000, when the Liebour spin machine made the fuel protests out to be the oil companies' fault, remember the sight of the bosses being summoned to number ten? The North sea has a lot of potential, especially in terms of export potential of subsea and deepwater drilling expertise. Thanks to Gordo's PRT etc, he's at risk of driving it away. But hey at least the French company his brother works for can give us all nuclear energy!!!!
Teachers' strike; Grangemouth shutting down while union rep. utters those grim words "...my members...."; prison officers threatening strikes, etc., etc. Reminds me of the '70s when Labour were also imploding, a host of car bumper stickers appeared with the words 'Don't blame me I voted Tory'. Not long now, surely.
oh dear snotty. your party is polling 28%, the economy is on the skids, house prices are collapsing and you are doomed to be voted out of office at the first opportunity.
what a first class wanker you are
"Jonah Brown is in the building"
This strike come courtesy of Gordon and his raid on Pension Funds.
Speaking of panic, what about food supplies, 100% of which are delivered by road? Not a bad idea to get some non-perishable stuff in, just in case the anti fuel tax lobby decides to crank up the heat.
Not that I wish in any way to add to the general gloom and despondency in the week before the local elections ...
What a shambles of a government....1200 union members have caused the closure of half the North Sea fields, disrupted the lives of the whole of Scotland, caused a rise in the world oil price..with no consequences to them. Yet last week a man was fined and threatened with prison for leaving his wheelie bin lid ajar 4 inches..
Could it get any worse under Nu Lab?
Martin

Could it get any worse under Nu Lab?
//
It can, and it will. Can't wait
Well, its almost impossible to get Diesel fuel between Dundee and Aberdeen at the moment, and petrol is rationed to £20 per person. Nice
Especially considering the damn pipeline, carrying the 770,000 barrels of oil flows within 10 miles of my house.. Sigh..
This government is probably going to engineer some other crisis to get the heat off them. My moneys on some Inneos or BAA scandal to be 'uncovered' this week.
Cynical ? Moi?
---* Bill
Wont's be long until bubonic plague breaks out.
"so, if I've got this right, the country loses 25 million pounds in tax revenue every day for the next two weeks because some spastic oil refinery owner wants to cut the pension entitlements of his slaves."
No, we're due to lose money because these "slaves" (who weren't forced to work for this company) have chosen on their own free will to go on strike and cause chaos for everyone. It's about time essential services started negotiating no strike contracts.
If McBean is managing to take the country back to the 1970'a can Gene Hunt be found to replace Blair at the Met?
I agree that this would be the perfect time for the haulage companies to threaten to blockade some of the oil refineries in England in protest of rising fuel prices.
Can anyone remember the name of that chap who got his fifty lorries to park in front of the BP depot in Luton and have you got his email address?
the PMS replied that a "stock out" was a reduction in the normal amount of fuel reaching places.
Looks like the Primr Minister's spokesman was being well over optimistic.
a stock-out. This occurs when a businesses runs out of stocks. This can have severe consequences for the business:
We are all doomed I tell you. How come the PM didn't know what a stock out was, did ten years as Chancellor of the Exchequer teach him nothing?
"Could it get any worse under Nu Lab?"
Undoubtedly
dave h
I'm not sure what connection you're thinking about, but may I respectfully point out that:-
Strategic oil reserves and the supply thereof are matters reserved to Westminster.
The Owner of the company is English (all the spokesmen for the company appear to be English too).
The Union spokesmen are English--Phil McNulty being what Alf Garnett would have described as a "scruffy scouse git", and Woodley, a throwback to the 70s.
So who caused this mess?
BBC waste £43,000 of our licence fee on common(EU communist subversion)purpose training between 2006-2008.
http://bp1.blogger.com/_P3tAP38GuxI/SBLaibQkSlI/AAAAAAAAAqI/5MK-MMSJBRk/s1600-h/commonpurpose.jpg
Martin, yes.
I've just read that a dog with rabies has come into the country and has started biting people.
What were the four horsemen of the apocalypse? War, Famine, Pestilence and Death. That is the pestilence part of the equation.
Charlotte - we already have war, and this strike will produce famine ( watch the supermarkets running out soon) and death ( old folks frezing )
But I want you all to note Broon said don't panic and don't stock up on fuel, and immediately the opposite happened.
Surely there must be some way of investing contrarily on Broons sayings.
And the vehicle recovery industry is on point of collapse due to the RAC fucking over the independent contractors and legislation aimed at HGVs being shoehorned into service against recovery vehicles.
Hundreds of long established family firms are just selling their trucks at knock-down prices and quitting the industry some of their families have been in for up to 100 years.
Well done, Tony! Well done, Gordon!
today we all see just why its scotland's oil
I'm sure I mentioned filling the car up on Tuesday and the queues were forming then.
The curse of snotty strikes again what is it about the jockish that they have to fuck everything up eh?
Welcome to Browns world!
Is there any truth in the rumour that I am about to start?
Petrol supply is drying up in scotland and soaring in price.
Brown said that no one was losing out over the tax changes.
Brown says that inflation is only 2.1%
Brown sold off most of our gold and nearly all the UK companies have gone to foreign owners.
The £ is sinking!
The rumour? He is going to give all of the english farms to the scots.
Well Mugabe did it!
You have to laugh
Totally and utterly predictable.
I realised many many years ago, whatever the government of the day recommends, ignor it!
In fact you would be well advised to do the exact opposite, which normally involves following your own instincts.
"See the poor fool with scorched and bandaged fingers wobble back to the fire"
Remember this when its time to vote!
I see that useless cunt Peter Oborne still has his tongue right up Brown's backside judging from his arse-licking, dishonest column in today's Mail.
What a two-faced twat.
How does a £20 limit prevent stock depletion? If you drive £40 in a day then thats two stops not one but the same petrol in total..
I walk everywhere but still filled up to the brim on Thursday; panic or preparation?
I think i remember a windfall tax on the oil companies in 2000? Which would be in line with the declining investment in the NS.
I'm suprised the Tories have not gone with the point that Brown, as Chancellor for 10 years, did not know that 5.3 million people were to be worse off under his 10% tax abolition proposals.
So either Brown is amazingly economically illiterate/innumerate,
or Brown was quite willing to knowingly sacrifice the living standards of the poor without a family for the poor with a family.
Either way he is nothing for Labour MPs to be proud of.
Let's hope Brown does not go to CERN (which is a particle physics research centre)when they start it up, in case it generates a particle that creates a black hole that swallows the Earth...
So what's the point of a feeble 2 day strike? Fucking whimps.
At least the Miners put up a good fight and gave Maggie a good run for her money. They don't make Trade Unionists like they used, or Prime Ministers.
"I've just read that a dog with rabies has come into the country and has started biting people."
Here's the story:
The puppy was one of five brought by a rescue charity from Sri Lanka to the quarantine kennels in the Chingford area of north-east London.
Are we completely mad in this country? We're now importing rabid strays from Sri Lanka to solve the chronic dog shortage.
We should stock up on heavy and bulky household goods too while our cars still have petrol to carry us home with staples that won't be in the supermarkets after the beginning of next week.
Perhaps if you Guido concentrated less on scaremongering and some of his commentators concentrated less on their well know hysterical and foul mouthed ranting .... well then you all might concentrate on the fact that this strike is an issue caused by Browns destruction of our pensions industry --- ie advanced payment of corporation tax.
You might then move on to consider how Browns problems are being caused by the unravelling of the whole artificial construct that is his view of the economy, our society and how it should be manipulated to create Browns idealised vision.
Browns view of where we are is flawed his view of where we should be is flawed and his view of how to get there is flawed. No wonder we live in a world which would be comfortingly familiar to the both the White Rabbit and The Queen of Hearts.
11.42 anonospaz,
you have missed the point.
the oil refinery owner-spastic made the first move.
relations were entirely cordial, my dear, until then.
oh and if the owner-spastic wasn't happy with the pension rights of the company's workers, then why did the cunt buy the refinery in the first place.
sounds like one of those hedge fund slash and burn profiteers to me. this is a matter of energy security. chancers need not apply.
How many people did snotty claim the introduction of the 10p band would help? I think it was announced in 99 but the sheer shitness of his speech puts me off looking. Can someone with a stronger stomach or less of a life check.
Thick as thieves 3.37 pm
It's you that's missed the point. I'm no fan of Ineos but they did not threaten to change the pension rights of the existing employees, just to close their Final Salary scheme to new members.
They are maintaining the status quo for all their existing employees, the aim of whose industrial action is to protect the rights of people who haven't actually started working for Ineos yet.
I lost my final salary pension rights in 1998, immediately after McSnotty's first great stealth tax. I can only dream of being an Ineos employee in the current circumstances...
All designed to Bring us to our Knees and accept the New world Order.
thank god we have our troops here to Prote......Oh no wait, Blair and gordon are having them culled in the Middle east, Oh shit, We're fucked.
thick as pigshit, sir.
The dispute relates to NEW employees not being eligible to join the final salary scheme. If they don't like it, dont join. FFS these union tossers are trying it on. Close the place down and ship it to Poland.
In trying to fuck Cameron with his last budget by announcing reduction of basic rate to 20% he fucked 5.3 million of the poor. Some fucking moral compass. McTwat is dead man walking.
www.number-10.gov.uk stuck on Windoze 2000. Jonahed.
I don't normally look at the crap on http://www.number-10.gov.uk
However via the site report of
http://toolbar.netcraft.com/site_report?url=http://www.number-10.gov.uk
I notice that on 13-Dec-2007 BT tried Windows 2003 server to host the http://www.number-10.gov.uk
but by the 15-Dec-2007 it was back to Windoze 2000 and it remains so to this day.
So FUCKING JONAH STRIKES AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Everybody, FUCKING PETROL IS RUNNING LOW FOR FUCKS SAKE GET OUT AND FILL YOUR TWATTING CARS TO THE BRIM. FUCKING DO IT NOW 'COS WE'RE DOOMED I TELL THEE, FUCKING DOOMED!!!!!!
"We're now importing rabid strays from Sri Lanka to solve the chronic dog shortage."
That's globalisation for you... :)
They're coming over her to bite the social workers our own dogs won't bite.
Thick shit thieves:
'what the fuck is going on? this cunt is fucking up our already fragile economy.
and where is that cunt gordon?'
A bit like your fragile mind you windy old tart. Stop tying to sound intelligent and you know what you are going onbout. Its not working thick twat.Where is Gordon? Fuck knows or cares but he should be in a Broadmoor secure unit with you. Nurse, please FFS, give him an overdose of whatever she's on. Thank you.
Errr ...more seriously why has the Government allowed us to get into a position where 30% of UK capacity is totally dependent upon just one facility?
Any simple accident or terrorist attack on that plant could cripple the UK economy for months. It's a fundamental duty of Government to ensure that such strategic vulnerabilities don't develop.
Have they? Nope, not a chance.
I wonder is this unconnected to the fact that the plant (and all the associated jobs) are based in Scotland just across the river from guess who's constituency?
If McBean is managing to take the country back to the 1970'a can Gene Hunt be found to replace Blair at the Met?
Gene Hunt is a politically correct caricature, created by the sort of people who probably have lunch with Iain Blair from time to time. Jack Regan is the man we want, as any fule kno.
The so called stocks of fuel are ....wait for it "VIRTUAL" so says some fuckwitt minister, he says we have agreements on paper that the oil companies have a stock of oil but and its a huge butt(bit like cheries) IT DOESNT FUCKIN EXIST its bollox there are no tank farms full of reserves just a piece of fucking paper.he said "some country's do it that way(tanks of fuel) we have a piece of paper.OMG.
ps
SNP scottish patriot
BNP english racist please explain?
"the oil refinery owner-spastic made the first move.
relations were entirely cordial, my dear, until then."
Doesn't excuse going on strike and inconveniencing the rest of us. If I tried going on strike I'd be (rightly) booted out onto the street.
Alright, I've finally had enough!!!
McTwat can be held personally responsible for the situation that is occuring as it was he, the one eyed fuck-up, that decided that it would be a good idea and a bit of a wheeze to practically steal peoples pensions away from them as most of the electorate are still working and won't rumble the plan till it's too late.
A similar plan via "windfall tax" on oil companies started the 2000 fiasco which resulted in the tartan tosspot realising that you can only push people so far and so froze duty on fuel.
Now all the vegetabilist, global warming, guardian reading, sandal wearing, museli chewing scum have managed to convince McTwat that a pensioner heating ones home is more a criminal than Ronnie Biggs and so people should be run into the ground and forced to live like peasants and only eat a carrot a day, if their lucky, because failed politician and now professional liar Al Gore says so.
Well fuck you guardianista !!!
I'd love to see one, just one, documental proof of so called "global warming", as there isn't one.
The fact the earth has COOLED for the past ten years since 1998 doesn't seem to be any obstical in relation to the 'Trilateral Comissions' quest for 'Global Governance' via "carbon taxes" and that even on the HM Treasury website there is documents saying that global temperatures are due to cool by 1.5C by the year 2020 due to solar cycles which seems to pale the supposed 0.74C increase in the past 110 years into insignificance, doesn't seem to bear any effect.
This whole process of rising fuel prices is nothing compared to what is to coming in the next few years as a result of the EU, as well as ever spiralling prices in wheat and other comodities as a result of Emperor Borusso's illogical quest against inevitable "climate change"
Does the EU think the planet has been stable and like it is now for all of eternity? because I hate to break it to Emperor Borusso but it hasn't, and if it had, then human beings wouldn't have evolved to be here today, look it up, it's called natural selection and evolutional theory.
Personally I'd sack anybody who went on strike as they haven't turned up for work and so breached their contract of employment, it's as simple as. I couldn't give a fuck if you are the member for 'the unionist guild of socialist mineworkers opposed to chicken farming', you didn't show-up, you're sacked. end of!!!
I loved Lord Levy ( The 'Cash for Honours' man ) publicly scathing McTwat and his government in the Daily Fail due out tomorrow. How low can GB sink to be criticised by that wanker? A man who thought Tony Blair was brillint for fucks sake!
The trouble is, of course, that a lot of people can't remember the last f*c* up that a Labour government made of running the country - wildcat strikes;transport strikes;rubbish on the streets;the dead unburied and the country in hock to the IMF and a PM who also "bottled" calling an election and famously allegedly said "Crisis ? What Crisis ?"
Gordon's a loser and he's completely f*c*ed . Just like Labour is if they don't ditch him within the next 3 months although as Matthew Paris writes in to-day's Times Gordon will have to be dragged from office kicking and screaming but what with the latest polls showing that 131 Labour MPs in marginals will lose their seats at the next election perhaps that time is nearer than we all think
Did someone mention Gary Elsby of Stoke on Trent?
http://bp0.blogger.com/_P3tAP38GuxI/SAjjkguYL7I/AAAAAAAAAnw/FjEUBMH9YoI/s1600-h/Labour+leaflet.jpg
this issue of the stealth taxes finishing off the final salary business , who advised no10 on it ??.
if the tax was abolished could the pensions be improved ???
what is alarming is if gordon should have raided pensions for only a fixed 5 years and then let them make up any shortfall.
if the unions work out hes buggered up the pensions god help him , if the pensions are kanckered anyway (need an actuary) then how can they best be stabilised .
lord levy a bit accurate "not quite the leadership that is needed"
if only he had said in 97 not quite the chancellor we needed would have saved us from the jonah phenomenon .
fantasic picture of cameron on train watching gordo slither by at paddington , said he might go and have a chat with him in no2 carriage , however later advised that carriage was completely full of number 2s and that post visit there were no industrial strangth clensing agents .
there was also a possibility that gordon would have shook camerons hand , thereby causing jonahering to be transmitted to the people of barry . silver bullits, garlic and holy water dave , dont ever leave home without them !!
So Levvy thinks Brown is a 'weak leader', no shit Sherlock!!!
I personally would have been more impressed, if had told the country before we elected him....Oh right we FUCKING HAVEN'T!!!
Come Wednesday or shortly after we will all be suffering a Brown 'relaunch' or should that be
're, re, re, re, etc Launch'
Now he has brought us fucking Rabies!!
Just to highlighting the danger we are all in.
He has acheived all this, and he hasn;t even been in power for a year yet.
God help us all.
W.W.
Swings and roundabouts..
Prezza has a book about his vomiting which keeps some of Brown's travails away from the front page..
Lord Levy decides to have a book out which says Tony told him Brown could not beat Cameron..
Oh, well - you win some, you lose some...
It's not original with me but can I recommend using the phrase "Summer of Discontent" as often as possible? It might just help the country get rid of Gordon Brown.
God help us if it runs on into the "Summer and Autumn of Discontent".
I would be lying if I said that, everything I predicted over the last 2-3 years, all over the various parts of the internet, now coming to past, almost exactly to timetable, "was not giving me an amount of enormous pleasure at this time."
However it would be nice if I thought I could avoid being flushed down the plug hole with the rest of you all.
Lets hope our respective sewers have been flushed recently. If the smell gets too bad, we could always try breaking into the prisons, evicting the thousands of then non council and TV tax payers, and claiming squatters rights for ourselves.
What the 'world' has planned for us is only 'not so bad,' simply because what it has lined up for other parts of it, are far worse.
Many of you were warned what actually voting, of all things, for fascism 3 times on the trot would result in. Too many of you did not listen.
Fascism has run the world for centuries. Now fascism still rules the world and now runs every aspect of our freedom impoverished deliberately shortened, massively over regulated, forever more pointlessly endured, enslaved lives.
Fascism also controls The EU from top to bottom and has done for many many years. As it does the entire political, industrial, banking, educational, and scientific establishments of the still existent British Empire including those of The United States Of America. Otherwise known as the 'special relationship.' But of course we all knew that, did we not?
This it seems, will aways be the case, but thats not the point.
I prey for the mercy of divine intervention. IMO there is nothing else that can ultimately save us from the complete hell, we ourselves collectively voted for 3 TIMES!!!!!!! Or at least years of grinding economic hardships enforced by a completely undemocratically accountable European fascist dictatorship. Resulting in all the perfectly horrendous things that WILL inevitably go with one.
Lets hope I start being wrong for once, and Cameron does indeed turn out to be our next Jesus.
It will take at LEAST a son of a god to seriously attempt to save what remains of this countries liberal democracy. Along with all the benefits of common law, independent judiciary, individual property rights, and liberty, that DO sometimes go with one. Without Cameron being crucified /assassinated one way or another, more quickly then the first one was said to have been.
Atlas as you can see, has given up shrugging. He has decided to buy himself a good quality pair of very high Wellington Boots. Along with a nose clip, as much gold as his bank balance will allow, and his safe deposit box can hold.
Did someone mention Gary Elsby of Stoke on Trent?
http://bp0.blogger.com/_P3tAP38GuxI/SAjjkguYL7I/AAAAAAAAAnw/FjEUBMH9YoI/s1600-h/Labour+leaflet.jpg
The leaflet is has the usual Elsby hallmarks of insane ranting and bad spelling. Should really be done in green crayon. Typing the quoted postcode into Streetmap calls up an area named Baddeley Green. Despite the rustic moniker what's the betting the place is a complete shithole? This is Stoke we're talking about.
Incidentally it's quite easy to read Gary's e-mail address despite it being "redacted". Anyone want to drop him a line?
anon 2:08
Fucking hell, i'm off to top myself!
As someone who has to visit the Grangemouth site from time to time, I just hope Jonah McTwat does not decide to pay a visit when I am there - I have seen the blast-zone maps and I don't want to be reduced to discrete sub-atomic particles just yet. As for the "feeble" 2 day strike, those workers know what they are doing. Just one day's strike would cause a month's shutdown of the site, so you lose only 2 day's pay for maximum disruption. They need walk out only once a month to shut the site permanently.
The country is turning to shit under Team Snotgobbler.
Won't be long before the rubbish is piling up in the streets again, we're all on a three day week and the One-eyed Bogey Muncher is wandering around like a fart in a trance muttering "Crisis? What crisis"
Report to the nearest straightjacket, cyclops.
Old Labour's marxist tendrils are slowly throttling the country; bleeding us dry and turning us into an international joke.
Would the last person to leave please switch off the - energy saving - lights?
"They are maintaining the status quo for all their existing employees, the aim of whose industrial action is to protect the rights of people who haven't actually started working for Ineos yet."
A recurring comment through this thread.
I think the strikers are right and pretty selfless at that - a rare thing nowadays.
Keep the focus on Brown. He's the one that ruined our pensions.
Don't Panic !
I expect that tomorrow my local paper will have a front page photo of cars snaking up the road to the forecourt of a particular local petrol station with the headline
" Panic stations ! "
Though not pointing out that this occures every Sunday afternoon as 'filling up the car' seems to be the activity of choice for some folks' Quality Time.

Blair was a self serving disaster. Labour is cock-eyed and wrong. Major Beano is a suitable leader of those wrong people.
Wake up they were voted in # (THREE) times.
I will emigrate if Joe Public puts them up agai.

"I will emigrate if Joe Public puts them up agai.

Bye Bye.
Are you English cunts on your knees yet? Yes? GOOD!!!
So, let's talk about independence... you still say you don't need us jocks eh?
WRONG. You're subservient to us.
Get over it.
WHEN the SNP makes Scotland independent, you'd better make plans for shipping Russian oil over, we're fed up with you sponging cunts.
Fuck the Union.
Dunfesterin:
Your banks are bust and now you're importing oil from England.
Hah Hah.
Dunfesterin.
Yes indeed, independence! If the South-East of England were an independent country it would be the fourth richest nation in Europe. All down to innovation, industry and the world's leading financial centre. Output from the North Sea peaked about ten years ago so you will have to import oil as well when it eventually runs out. You could go in to the financial markets, trading in Haggis futures perhaps?
Enough of this nationalistic nonsense, Dunfesterin. Scotland is worthy of better than your rants. Gordon McBroon and his cronies have done enough damage to Scotland's reputation already. By the way is there a picture anywhere of "proud Scot" Gordon wearing a kilt?
Nulab stay in power often due to the sheer stupidity and laziness of our investigative journalists. Google "GPSS" chaps and look back over your notes from 2000. The Nationwide GPSS is designed to carry aviation fuel but is supposed to be configurable for other fuels. A lesson learned from the 2000 crisis was that it was in a state of utter disrepair. The (this) government vowed to invest in it to ensue future strikes DID NOT cause a strategic problem for the UK. Sharpen your pencils lads and find out if that investment ever happened. By Christ you're all thick as pigshit you Journos. Memory of Goldfish and attention span of gnats. There's a story here and you'll pass it by through poor research, well done. Perhaps NuLab pay you all a small retainer....
Forgive my ignorance Gareth but was the GPSS anything to do with the UKOP (UK Oil Pipeline) which was supposed to link up all britain's refineries for strategic (military) use??
