Steve Richards Offered Editorship of New Statesman
Sam Coates says the Indy's Steve Richards is to be the next editor of the New Statesman. Maybe. Guido understands he was offered the job and has been "thinking about it". He has not however as yet formally accepted the worst job in political journalism - working for Geoffrey Robinson...

See you are advertising BA on your Blog.
Think that you would be wise to cash any cheques from them quickly. Plane crash and now new terminal total f**K up!
Bloody private companies!
Rumour has it that Robinson can be a bit absent-minded with his hands.
Geoffrey Robinson, Brown's paymaster and Paymaster, is an honourable man.
That apart he shagged his way to a fortune by breaking exchange control regulations and giving preferred Jaguar dealing terms to his Belgian agent, Mme Joska Borgeouise. The old girl snuffed but before Geoff had set up a nice little offshore trust(Orion) to receive the agreed quid quo pro from the lady who Geoff serviced in more ways than one.
PM Brown lived off the proceeds of immoral earnings until he discovered his moral compass and fired Robinson who knows a thing or two. But its SNAP since Brown knows all about Transtec.
Our Steve, erstwhile cheerleader for Blair, will take the Robinson shilling. The preening twat.
What a crap job - putting all that dreary left-wing twaddle together every week, knowing no normal person ever reads it.
This is the sort of crap he writes.

His analysis is all wrong here.
Sales of the NS will plummet.
note to sam: don't be a cunt, don't do it.
the new statesman is a piece of shit and your reservations about taking the position are well founded. as more and more information about the new labour project comes to light, being the editor of this war party propaganda pamphlet would be a fucking terrible idea.
it would probably fuck your career up.
best not to be a dopey cunt, eh?
that is probably the best advice you'll get in your life sam.
thick as thieves
There's only one thing to say at a time like this: "Come back Bruce Page, all is forgiven".
as ever, the excitable young Mr Coates is just a little behind the times and more than a little bit wrong. Richards was offered the job some time ago and has already turned it down. Think Sammy should stick to writing Beltway stories about Westminster lobbying interests..Yawn..Time for bed Dougal
ive just watched FITNA !!
oh well there goes multiculturalism !!
sarko while over here has offered to help the dutch out if any civil riots.
dutch pm has condemmed it , cant see it holding now and to top it all gordons been allowing funds to go to wrong muslim groups .

i think watsons got a FATWAH , might have mis heard it could have been FAT TWAT
Guido, you are much too modest. Your fancy hat really SHOULD be in the ring for this prestige job !

Looks like the protected newt species won't be keeping the new owner out of the GLA building for much longer....
I hope the Statesman reports in full the BA mess-up (whoever the editor is)
Returning passgeners yeterday had to wait upwards of three hours to get their luggage. We gave up after three and a half hours; "it will be delivered to your house to-morrow" we were told.
There were lots of people in uniform outfits with "I" on their chests; I think it stood for "Idiot".
The result for Wellingborough Borough Council’s Redwell West Ward was:
1. Con. 665 (59.0%)
2. BNP 177 (15.7%)
3. Lab 169 (15.0%)
4. Lib-Dem 40 (3.5%)
5. UKIP 39 (3.5%)
6. Green 37 (3.3%)
Sod the limps Spitting Image is back using cgi check out the times online.
Steve Richards lacks the malice, bigotry and ignorance of Polly, but he is a bit tedious, isn't he...
Robinson - Robinson. Is this the same Robinson that a very good friend of Robert Maxwell?
Better check the pension fund then.
Robinson actually looks like a towering colossus when you compare him to your usual nulab nonentity, tom watson, say !
Actually, the worst job in political journalism is working as political correspondent for any paper where the political editor nicks all the bylines.
No need to name names.
