Stat-Porn : February 2008
487,676 page views off 366,364 unique visitors - well it was a short month. Read 'em and weep Three Line Whoopsies...
The Centre for Policies Studies recently had to correct a pamphlet which implied the Telegraph's political bloggers* were now beating Guido in terms of audience size. Coincidentally the pamphlet's author was a Telegraph hack. Turns out that claim is true only if you add the traffic of all fifty (50) Telegraph blogs together. Only then do they just barely beat Guido in terms of audience size. 50 hacks, £10 millionlost invested in the new media platform. No wonder Shane Richmond is sulking with Guido. Barclay brothers take note...

Many thanks to all Guido's advertisers.

well done sir.
and I look forward to seeing you give the telegraph a sound thrashing next month!
cheers,
thick as thieves
the telegraphs site is digital parrot cage liner not a patch on Mr Fawkes.
Hmmm...
Shortest month or not, Cranmer had a record 25,771 unique visitors in February, with 38,363 page views.
The Prods are coming...
;o)
If you add all 50 telegraph blogs together you would get a huge amount of duplication and the "unique visitors" measure surely wouldnt work across all of them?
Hmmm.......
nice stat porn Mr. Fawkes, long may it continue.
Curly has seen a drop in readership during this short month after his ultra leftist Indy pals decided they didn't want to play any more.
Look at my face, am I bothered?
Guido rules go guido go
phyzx
I'v always said, no one, not man not hairy arsed beast (and certainly not toilets maguire, twat he is) fucks with the Guido. Best thing on the net, well done sir.

oops I posted twice but as someone once sang:
Guido, guido so good I posted twice
guido guido all the scandal and the vice, I love it!!
Well done Guido - the Tel blogs are indeed a desert overrun with the thickest ZaNuLab trolls you can imagine. Apart from a few notable exceptions they've taken the place over.
Btw - Surely you also meant to thank your readers? Without them the advertisers - well, you know.

Or to put it in English:
...the Telegraph's political bloggers now had a bigger audience than Guido.
Don't forget dear Guido that probably all of us keep returning time and time again to check what the others are saying and to see if you have been gracious to put our comments on.
and to see if you have been gracious to put our comments on.
Don't say that. It only encourages him to switch on moderation.
Very well done anyway, Guido. You couldn't have done it without the red italics.
Would it be fair to compare the absence of 2 MP's out of 3 at the Welsh Conservative conference to been the equivalent to 2 of the main company directors being absent from the company agm?
Well said (thrice), seventies reject.
If Guido didn't exist, we would have had to invent him.
How would you like to pay someone else's gas and electric bills?
Brown's plan is for all those workers and pensioners not in receipt of benefits to subsidise, or even pay entirely, the fuel bills of many of those on welfare benefits, and even, in some cases, tax credits.
It's called the Fuel Poverty Programme and it's coming soon to a street near you.
Isn't it great to be an idle scrounging layabout in Labour's Britain.
How long before we are being taxed to pay some wasters mortgage?
all i can say after three days in haarlem is, dribble, dribble.
Will try harder next week.
Very bad timing of the Telegraph to start hiring nulab luvvies for hacks, when the rest of the country are sick of them. Why waste your money, when you can come to GF and get your prejudices pandered to for a reduced annual subscription ?
because i'm worth it asks;
"How long before we are being taxed to pay some wasters mortgage?
Have you been away? You already are, and I'm not just speaking about our illustrious represenatives' mortgages.
Interesting article in the Times this morning:
'Gordon Brown to curb second home ownership'
At first glance it's a government attempt to prevent well off city dwellers from buying up holiday homes in pretty villages, so pricing locals out of the housing market. All very laudable I'm sure. But consider the implications; For an LA to ascertain whether a property purchase was 'allowable' all purchases would have to come under scrutiny. The buyer would be required to prove that they were either selling an existing property or a first time buyer.
At present, there are so many ways that could be found to circumvent those requirements that the only realistic means of making a scheme like this work is property ownership licensing. All local authorities would have to have registers that tied in the ownership of property to the unique identity of the owner. Presumably through the proposed Identity Card. Each an every time a person wanted to move, they would have to get permission from the local authority to do so.
What can be promoted as a 'worthy' scheme to ensure housing for rural families is a back door to state property control.
Dave is making promises to wimmin!!

I surprised Guido hasn't followed up the story in the "News of the World" "Brown in Bed with Undie Girl".
It seems that Gordon Brown has hired the boss of Agent Provocateur Jennifer Moses to come up with bright ideas. This is the woman who was in the news four years ago when her assistant was jailed for stealing £1 million from her. Apparently, Moses is so rich, she didn't notice that the £1million was missing for 18 months.
Doesn't it give you great faith that Gordon has hired someone who is so nonchalant about money going missing?
Guido - given that you called the pamphlet 'very well judged', and that we accommodated all of your complaints, this post doesn't quite ring true. Fact is, it doesn't 'turn out' that it was including all the Telegraph blogs - it's very clearly stated. You need to stop seeing conspiracies everywhere...
