LibDemVoice has a copy of a press release from Nick Clegg about the speaker blocking the full publication of MP's expenses in full.
“There are legitimate grounds for appealing the decision to publish private addresses. However, there is no earthly reason why the rest of the information should not be published immediately.“Any delay will only add to the British public’s distrust in their politicians.”
So Guido called Nick Clegg's office.
GF : I see from Nick's press release that he thinks MPs should publish their full expenses immediately. When is he going to publish his expenses? So Guido called Lynne Featherstone, who is very strong on the issue...
Tim : I don't know. Can I get his press officer Hannah to call you?
GF : When is Lynne going to publish her expenses in full?Guido called Ed Davey's Office.
Ian : Err, don't know. I'll ask her.
GF : Great, get back to me.
GF : When is Ed going to publish his expenses in full?So Ed Davey is going to publish his expenses in full. Just as well because his leader says any delay will "will only add to the British public’s distrust in their politicians." The LibDems are talking the talk, can they walk the walk? Don't delay...
Kerry : He will as soon as he can. We have had staffing problems and he has been very busy with the Lisbon Treaty.
UPDATE 16.15 : Clegg's office has just called to say he will be publishing his expenses in full the week after next. They were not clear if all LibDem MPs will be doing the same.

Be a good boy Guido and hand back the missing BBC staff files relating to travel to the Olmypic Games.
Fell off the back of a lorry?
'he's very busy with the Lisbon Treaty' !!!???
wtf?
Is he re-writing it?
Me'thinks hell will freeze before they call you back Guido. Nickie boy saw a golden opportunity for a perfect sound bite without the need to actually follow through on it.
"'he's very busy with the Lisbon Treaty' !!!??? "
Yeah, it takes a lot of effort to sit on your arse!
Busy with the Lisbon Treaty...God, they do feed us shit eh?...There is no way they can change the Treaty...Unless we have a referendum it is set in stone...Do they think we are fools...Obviously yes. Martin
Why does clegg need another week to publish it? Cooking the books is he?
“Any delay will only add to the British public’s distrust in their politicians.”
So we have to wait a fortnight longer. Nick I distrust you.
Her name is Ceri not Kerry, and she's utterly charming.
Very very O/T.
Good grief! Apparently the junior official of HM Revenue and Customs, last seen in a Northern hotel sans minder, has struck again. BBC shocked to discover files and sensitive details lost/stolen.
Any chance Nick Robinson's expences could be in the file?
Reward of Château d’Yquem and life-time free licence offered for any information.
OT
So we have to stump up billions to buy Frog power stations in exchange for what? Why, to be told we have to be 'better europeans'.
Sarkozy - you have a good looking missus but kindly keep your federal policies to yourself!
Further evidence, that is not at all needed, that politicos just don't seem to get this internet thingy at all.
They still rely on our corrupted and controlled, in their pockets MSM, to spin their sound bites and propagate their lies with a straight face, for them.
IMO
Its not because political party's are stupid or suddenly become more corrupt, then in the past.
Its because they do not want to seem to take the internet seriously, so giving the "bloody thing" added credibility. Not until that is, they have worked out how to control and manipulate the internet as well.
Which they will one way or another. Or they will continue to right off the internet as a fringe pastime, at the systems peril.
What they don't seem to understand is that things get around by word of mouth. Whether they have successfully destroyed the traditional British pub or not. Advertising and propaganda only gos so far.
Trust in establishment institutions, such as the BBC has not been lower since its incorporation, and is falling daily. This for the worlds, and especially the British establishments, is a 21st century, "whole new ball game."
Atlas shrugged and then loudly exclaimed "Vive la revolution."
busy with the lisbon treaty , ed davy can bollocks , following dan hannahs revelation of 200 ngo s that recieve euro funding (but its difficukt to find out how much), that then go on to lobby and make the laws .

Confirming that you knew the following about Brown. It's all wheels within wheels:
His brother Andrew Brown has been Head of Media Relations in the UK for the French-owned utility company EDF Energy since 2004. [He was previously director of media strategy at the world's largest public relations firm Weber Shandwick from June 2003 to 2004. Previously he was editor of the Channel 4 political programme Powerhouse from 1996 to 2003, and worked at the BBC from the late 1970s to early 1980s.]
Links with nuclear power industry
Another controversial issue was the link between Brown's brother Andrew and one of the main nuclear lobbyists, EDF Energy, given the finding that the government did not carry a proper public consultation on the use of nuclear power in its 2006 Energy Review. Attention has also been drawn to the fact that the father-in-law of Brown's closest adviser Ed Balls, Tony Cooper (father of the Labour minister Yvette Cooper) has close links with the nuclear industry. Cooper was described as an "articulate, persuasive and well-informed advocate of nuclear power over the last ten years" by the Nuclear Industry Association on his appointment as Chairman of the British Nuclear Industry Forum in June 2002. He is also a member of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and was appointed to the Energy Advisory Panel by the previous Conservative administration.

Thank you Merle. Ed has insisted upon engaging in a thorough programme of constitutonal research with a view to appreciating those subtle aromas which delicately diffuse from some of the more mature European issues.
"So we have to stump up billions to buy Frog power stations in exchange for what?"
Electricity.
We've fucked up our own industry so badly, it is probably this or the lights going out in the not too diostant future.
The accounting year ends next week and Nick Clegg has said he will publish his expenses by the week after.
Compared to the speed at which companies gather together all their final bills, check all the paperwork and then close their accounts that seems pretty quick to me.
Well it's well beyond the week after next and I can't recall him publishing his expenses.
