Get Guido's Headlines by Text Message - Free

As part of Guido's aim to be ubiquitous on all new media platforms he has partnered with the Twitter service to provide headlines in real-time to your mobile via SMS. Guido won't charge you a penny* wherever you are in the world.

The text message will contain the headline, followed by a clickable link which (on web-enabled phones) will take you to the full blog story. Guido has been testing it for a few weeks with 20 subscribers and it seems to work well. Subscribe here.

You're either in front of Guido or behind...

*For now.

Oi! Guido old fruit! The glorious, impartial, non-commercial!, National Broadcaster, Pravda, I mean BBC! has a banner ad on your blog trying to flog me old Yes Minister DVDs? Yeah, I know you don't choose the ads, but it looks like Al Beeb are trying to suck up to the anti-socialist blogasphere, does that mean you are now getting Telly Tax money, and are on the BBC's payroll? Oh God! say it isn't so??
I think the BBC are run by Michael Corleone:
"Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer."

Is there no escape from the influence of these bastards!!!

"[M] platforms...partnered with...real-time...mobile via SMS...text...clickable link...web-enabled..."

Gosh, all this new-fangled techno-speak is far too much for a decrepit old thirtysomething like me, Guido. You young people have a language all of your own. I bet you even have one of those new record player things and have one of those Raspberry devices.

I find that a good old fountain pen and an abacus work perfectly well, thank you very much. I have no need to use those computer thingies - in fact, I never been near one, never mind 'posted' on a 'weblog'.

Well done, Mr Guido...or should I say: congrts mr g u r a legend innit.

Forgive this pedant but it is either 'free' or 'for nothing'.

It can never be 'for for nothing'.

It's all very well to boast of your cutting edge distribution mechanisms but I've still got the tin held tightly to my ear, with the string very taut, and I still can't hear you old chap.....

Coming soon, Guido on the Pony Express?!! All power to your elbow. Pip pip!

Superb. All you need now is a list generator (copyright Mrs Dale) and you can be a proper blogger.

i note that newsnight tonight devoted a rather longish portion of its broadcast to the weighty issue of gay porn.

is the bbc trying to tell us something?

that we the british public have been royally stuffed up the arse by the parliament today?

I'll sign up - but only for comments - or more specifically, Stanislav's comments.

never heard of you, never read your blog, never pick my bogies in front of the entire membership of the supreme legislative assembly of the united kingdom of great britain and northern ireland (then chew them, savouring their subtle individual flavours, textures and bouquets, before enjoying the subslime satisfaction of swallowing them down, more often than not getting a stiffy in the process), not telling who i am either said...

SMS to Guido Fawkes esq:

no I do NOT want your subversive shit popping up on my phone thank you very much mr fawkes.
