Just a thought.
If you cannot afford the mortgage on your house, and use the sell and rent back option,
will it be included in the repossession count, if not should it?

What about "Labour isn't working" with true unemployment at around 3.5Mn, and endemic in may areas labour really isn't working.

Economic stability, longest period of growth since the jurassic period, low inflation, record investment (public spending)...all lies, what a sick joke

With a retail recession on the way and unemployment forecast to take off there's only one way for reposssesions to go and that's up, up, and away!!

"UK unemployment likely to rise by 700,000 by end of 2009 - Capital Economics

"LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Unemployment in the UK is likely to rise by 700,000 by the end of next year, according to Capital Economics....."

and that's a very conservative estimate IMO.

Gordon doesn't know the meaning of being "hostage to fortune", except this downturn will have nothing to do with misfortune, and everything to do with the economic (in)competence of one Gordon Brown MP - who never was much good at maths haha.

With the economy up shit creek and getting worse, how is it that there IS still money to be wasted for the £22bn (and growing in cost) failed NHS computer, the £20bn ID card system, and £20bn Olympic "games"?

When you're up shit creek you cut the spending on crap, but New Labour just push spending up and up. At least the New Labour MP's will keep their inflation proof pensions.

The economic situation at the moment reminds me of the first hour or so after the Titanic struck the iceberg - nobody but those in charge knew how badly damaged the ship was, the slight list and lowering of the bow belying the seriousness of the situation. Wait til it's almost vertical in the water and breaks its back - no brief glimpse of Kate Winslet's bloomers as she stands on the rail before jumping will compensate for the serious shit to follow.

Wife Doesn't Know I Put On Nappies When She Goes Out

Feb 14 2008 Joan Burnie

Q I DON'T know how this started but I was bored and looking up silly stuff on the internet and found a website about men who wear nappies.

It excited me and I don't know why. I didn't want to buy nappies but I went into a chemist's and bought a packet of incontinence pads and said they were for my grandfather.

I usually wear them when my wife is out with friends and I'm home alone.

I'm an otherwise normal man in his thirties, with a couple of kids. If my wife knew the truth, she'd throw me out but I can't stop doing it.

A SINCE you've already found out about your fairly minor kink via the internet, there's not an awful lot more I can tell you.

It comes down to whether you want to carry on or if you genuinely wish to stop.

If it's the latter, talk to your GP and ask to be referred to someone who specialises in this area. If you don't, it's not harming anyone and I'm sure you can ensure it remains a very secret pleasure.

A Bonus for an MP crook....The disgraced conservative sleazy bastard crooked embezzler MP Derek Conway will keep his place among a group of MPs paid a £13,000-a-year bonus for chairing parliamentary proceedings. His political career looked like it was in ruined when he was suspended from the Commons after he was blasted for employing his son as a researcher. But Mr Conway has retained a prestigious and lucrative position as a member of the "chairman's pane" appointed by the Speaker Michael Martin to oversee detailed debates on Bills.

Members of the committee get £13,107 on top of their £61,000 MP's salary to reflect their extra status and workload chairing standing committees. But fellow MPs were furious that the former Government whip had kept the coveted job despite being stripped of the Tory whip, suspended from the Commons and forced to announce that he will stand down at the next election. Panel membership is regarded as a high honour which is reserved for respected members of the Parliamentary establishment.

MPs who are selected by the Speaker [ah, so now we know why!!]carry out the vital task of keeping order in standing committees which carry out line-by-line debates on Bills.

A Commons spokeswoman confirmed that Mr Conway is still a member. He is now listed on the parliamentary website as "independent conservative" after David Cameron withdrew the whip last month.

He is joint chairman of the Commons committee that scrutinised the Health and Social Care Bill, due to have its report stage in the Commons next week.

But Norman Baker, Liberal Democrat MP for Lewes said: "I find it very surprising he is still in that position and nobody has seen fit to question it."

And Alan Simpson, the Labour MP for Nottingham South, said: "Being part of the Speaker's panel embodies a degree of trust and respect about being an upholder of the rules and standards that Parliament sets for itself.

"The difficulty about Derek Conway's position is that it seems a flagrant breach of the rules."

Mr Conway was given a place on the chairmen's panel in 2001. He was once regarded as a future contender for the job of Speaker. Well, he's no worse than gorbalsmick so he MUST stay and be paid his bonus. Come ON Cameron, get him booted out and have a bye-election!!

I just cannot believe this situation. I really do not know how as complete a fuckwit, as fucking fuck head Mc FuckingBean is, and his scamming self serving predessor as prime minister was, ever got themselves elected.

The population must be endemically stupid or universally gullible to ever believe the 'third way' nonsense they originally spun.

We've been here before so many times before after bouts of Socialist tax and spend social re-engineering 'projects'. Surely to God enough people read enough history to realise that it is just not possible to spend and spend and tax and tax as McFuckingBean has done and get away with it.

Why don't the bloody opposition get on his case big time? Get some serious stats and start in on him. Prove his lies. Make him squirm. Give him no mercy at all.

Attack! Attack!

I want the bastard destoyed. I want his reputation shredded. I want him personally impoverished for what he and his lying scheming worthless minions have done to the economy. I want him despised and I want him to know that he is fucking useless and that everyone else knows it. And I want history to judge him as the worst most hopeless Chancellor we have ever had.

And I want it done now. Why? Because every day matters in turning round this wasted economy. Every day that fuckhead is there is another day wasted. Another day until someone even vaguely sensible can get in there and stop this nonsense. Someone who can start to control costs and stop spending money worthlessly. And yes, it will mean state employees being made redundant - probably big time. But I for one will shed no tears over the odd unemployed five a day co-ordinator.

And yes I know that they being unemployed will add to the dole costs, but unless something is done, NOW, we are mega fucked.

In one way I do agree with you about big business. It does try and dictate terms to all of us. So please explain why nuliebour cosies up to them? Oh yes, they want 'contributions'. And also explain why when nuliebour is in power monopolies get stronger? Oh yes, of course, it's the payback for the contributions - hah! Extortion more like. surely the point of capitalism is to yield a profit.
if the private sector and especially those at the lower end of the earning scale make no profit, even from their labour, because they are funding an inefficient carefree state, then the whole thing becomes a farce.
if at the same time those at the top end find it easier to make profit then the hidden costs pose a serious danger to the cohesion of society.
if wages were based on modal averages instead of mean ones the true picture of wage levels for those outside of and financing the public sector would indicate not just a lack of profit but insolvency.
under new labour work has for many people become uneconomical.
tax credits merely mask this anomaly. the only profiteers from this situation are state employees and rich individuals. the people who work to create the wealth are left out in the cold.
it is essential for the state's wreckless behaviour to be restricted and then reversed. new labour is a highly anti social organization that is causing great political and economic damage to this country. every day under this government is a wasted one that takes the country in the completely wrong direction.
there are no individuals on the labour front or backbenches of sufficient calibre to correct this misdirection.

The truly sad thing is that our minorities (if indeed they still are in London) fall for this Uncle Tom bullshit. You'd think that they'd know by now that when Grasper and his Nigerian aides rob them all blind, that actually it's just business for them, no different than peddling crack on the street corner, and treat them with the contempt they deserve, but they seem not to have reached that level of self-confidence yet.

I honestly think that Maggie's biggest mistake was actually publishing the true unemplyment figures at 3M+. If she'd taken 20% off because they'd been on Jobseekers allowance for more than six weeks, put another 20% into job creation programs and 'new-deal' schemes regardless of whether they turn up or not and then removed people on long-term sickness she could have had unemployment under a million.

Bogeyman said...

Amen to that, 45gvt. Unfortunately many people on this forum seem to live in curious places like Stockport and fail to realise that Leninshit is in charge of London, the nation's engine room. He is (as I may have said before) far more dangerous that the Hains, Wee Wendies and Conways multiplied by ten.

He is a master at pouring petrol on lightly smouldering embers to arouse the anger of people whom he and his henchmen have carefully imported to London and then primed with embitterment.

They thrive on provocation. Their "Boris is a hard-line racist" campaign is built on three words that should have been left to lie harmlessly in a witty book. To resurrect them was provocative. The very act of building a Stephen Lawrence memorial centre is provocative. Everything they do is designed to tweak, irritate and arouse hostility among the average Joe while attracting the grateful vote of the gullible class he has set up as "victims".

Fortunately I moved out of London some years ago, but my son lives there now. I asked him to think of one good thing Ken has done for the place. He struggled, eventually coming up with "improving the bus service". Well, I'll tell you what, son, my mate Bob who works for the local council could have improved the fucking buses without turning the place into a fucking socialist republic.

Son then conducted an experiment while travelling on one of Ken's wonderful bendy jobs - watching how many people actually paid their fare. He reckons it was about 5 out of every 50. Good on you Ken! You impress the world with your generosity and vision by letting kids travel free when no fucker pays anyway. Typical.

Leninslime is without doubt the most devious, slippery politican in Britain, with more than a whiff of corruption thrown in. He is a dictator who ignores the opinions of those who pay his substantial wages, and keeps himself in power by massaging the egos and playing to the grudges of a large underclass he himself has created and nurtured.

The Commission for Racial Inflammation, or whatever they call themselves today, are now screaming that racism should be pushed to the top of the agenda again as a result of the Stephen Lawrence bricking. Wrong. It should not be even half way up the agenda. Racism should be banished completely. Boris must push this message - we do not do racism in London.

Smashed the Stephen Lawrence windows? Piss off you idiots, whoever you are. That's not the way it works around here.

As for the Anti Racist Forum Pathfinder Initiative League Collective and your troublesome brethren, you can fuck off too. Go away. You, Leninshit and Grasper are just not needed any more.

tapestry Most of the failures are those who should have never been granted a mortgage in the first place - plus those who kept refinancing as their properties rose in appraised value.

Banks took great heat over the years for "redlining" - not giving mortgages to bad risks, which frequently translated to minorities. Banks were told to find a way, so they did. Hence most of the mess. You should also realise that it's mostly in certain parts of the country; around here we just wobble up & down with inflation etc for the most part.

Mortgage terms, for fixed loans, are typically for 30years. ARMs - adjustable rate mortgages, often reset after five years - even "balloon" into balance due then. The typical 30yr mortgage has no prepayment penalty, hence the orgy of refinancings, it was cheap to do so, relatively speaking.

Me ? I just paid mine off, owe nothing :)

I thought people had enough with Labour in the 60s. Here we go again, why do people support them.

Does anybody think the country is any better than when they came to power, as I think it is much worse.

They have bribed people to vote for them with the tax credit mess

Ha ha! Couldn't be happier, me. I opted out of the mortgage treadmill 10 years ago in my early 20's, rented somewhere relatively inexpensive, and pissed my money up against the wall on beer, recreational badness and womenwho wear inappropriate clothing.

In a few years, we'll ALL be living in rented accomodation when they take all your homes away, but at least i've had a laugh for a decade.

Yes.

Now you understand why politicians lie so much.

We do not vote for the ones that tell the truth.

Its also why the bastard always gets the nicest pussy. But then if you are a man you already know this.

Problem with Thatcher was she did not, for obvious reasons.

Therefore she thought that showing a bit of leg and looking like she enjoyed spanking public school-boy establishment masonic bottoms, was all she needed to do.

It helped of course. But she forgot to keep the negatives so the bastards simply stabbed her in the back, and carried on sucking each others cocks.

Atlas shrugged, held his nose and went down.

By the way can people get an education before they start bullshitting about what capitalism is.

Just for your information

CAPITALISM is not LIBERTARIANISM

ALL and I DO mean ALL capitalism is. Is a method by which spare wealth is moved from a place where it is creating little or no wealth to a place were it can be used to create investment and therefore extra wealth.

In short it means 3 things.

Liquidity liquidity liquidity

What you do with the power of that liquidity is what matters.

Thats why you cant blame capitalism for anything, only the bastards that misuse it.

//

Shunting UB40s onto Incap to drop the unemployment figures was Maggie's wheeze. My ex worked at a job center (or whatever they were call way back) during her reign, and they got a monthly target for the numbers to be moved over.

So there's two reasons why we have so many on incap. One, Thatcher's deviousness, and two, New Labour's refusal to do anything about it, even though they knew this was the case. So it suited them as much as the tories, whatever the DWP may say now.

House of Lords authorities were last night facing calls for an official inquiry into claims that former Cabinet minister Jack Cunningham failed to properly declare consultancy work he was carrying out for the City of London.

A spokesman for the City of London Corporation confirmed a report on a news-paper website that it was paying Lord Cunningham - now a member of the House of Lords - £36,000 a year as a public affairs adviser. His work was said to involve "occasionally" helping to set up meetings with government ministers.

Although Lord Cunningham declared his consultancy company Brinkburn Associates - through which the fees were paid - in House of Lords Register of Financial Interests, he made no mention of his work for the City. Liberal Democrat frontbencher Norman Lamb said that he had now written to the Registrar of Lords' Interests asking him to investigate.

Some people just can't break their thieving habits can they!!

jim murphy is obviously stupid, he backs a chancellor that cant add up , backs an illigitimate treaty that is not wanted by over two thirds of the UK electorate , too shit scared to even allow it to be debated properly , or let the public disagree .

things can change mr murphy , just look whats happening to labour they look more crap as each day passes.
read jeff randles article in the times , the city now thinks they are utter fakes .

gordons in wales today for the welsh labour party conference , kinnochio will be there no doubt , hope when he the curse of broon arrives they pinpoiint the source to him.
hes going to launch cash for not being on unemployed stats , which basically means he preping for manipulating the figs when were all queing outside the soup van.

45gov i agree kens a racist , and weve been shat on .

see now some truths come out on multiculturalism , and gordon wants to legg us into more of it immigration by lisbon treaty , let alone with being locked into any euro ecnomic recovery plan .

even the barmaid (who rarely comments) said she thought "gordon isnt doing anything about it" , everyones suffering , nothings gone right since tony left (who she thought was nice man)

but that puzzles me now did tony know or realise that gordons so called chancellor genius was actually a poniz pyramid scheme requiring increased borrowing to make it work,

come to think of it that jeff randle article is pretty heavy wade in . recommended!!

The most important story today, Friday, and the BBC buries it on its web site in the Politics section. Labour incompetence threatens our security:-

"The UK's security is at risk because of a national loss of self-confidence, a leading defence think tank says.

The Royal United Services Institute says Britain has become a "soft touch" because of divisions over its national aims, values and political identity.

Rusi attacks "misplaced deference to 'multiculturalism'" and failure to "lay down the line" to immigrants."

Yup!

That sounds about right.......but all it goes to prove is that New Labour & New Tory are simply two sides to the same coin.

The coin of BIG GOVERNMENT, in thrall to BIG BUSINESS.

We are sleepwalking into authoritarian state control of ALL aspects of our lives.

Perhaps we should all take a lead from the excellent film "Network"........throw open our windows and shout out....

"I'M AS MAD AS HELL ABOUT THIS, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!"

I d0n't get it , wheres the punchline?

Do you have to write your own one or is this the start of a promising skit like the Monty Pythons Watney's Red Barrel ..

Or is it simply another twat wanking in envy at the misfortune of others.

The difference between someone who lived in a good house for 5yrs and ended up in a squat, and someone who lives in a squat is the fist one didn't live in a squat for years.

And if you need to put [comedian]after your name you may need to try another line of work.

"... Really? An engineering degree usually takes three years but you normally have at least one year of work experience. And you are saying that just after a year of that initial training you are doing something that justifies your salary in full?"

After graduation, 2 years professional practice to get Chartered Civil Engineer status. Then into the first real job, where conditions are likely to be tougher than you ever experience later in your career especially if you are on site. The pay in that first real job will be low, reflecting your lack of experience, but you are still able to make a major contribution to your project. Your pay will be fully justified. With experience you move on to managerial posts with appropriately higher pay.
