Labour Were Thinking What The Tories Were Thinking
Immigration minister Liam Byrne told BBC News this morning that the Australian immigration control model had been closely examined by the British government: "I think that people want to know that only those who we need to come to Britain should be allowed to come and I think a points system has worked extremely well in Australia so we have studied that hard, we think it would work well in this country."
The 2005 Conservative Party Manifesto promised "We will introduce a points-based system for work permits similar to the one used in Australia. This will give priority to people with the skills Britain needs."Remember how the Labour Party made a huge issue of the policy and campaign posters, outrageously condemning the commitment as a racist dog-whistle policy. Less than three years later Labour is implementing the same policy.
UPDATE : Gordon describes himself as a Daily Mail reader in the paper this morning when backing their campaign against plastic bags. So he is actually thinking what Paul Dacre is thinking.

Scum rises to the top, and this shows how the nulab project has conned the public for so long.
Where does that leave John Bercow?

Liam Byrne looks like Captain Mainwaring with a masturbation habit.
You're missing the point, Guido.
It's not *what* they're thinking, it's *who* is thinking it.
Since Cons are nasty racists, anything they say can be dismissed as xenophobic ranting. But when NuLab come to the same conclusion it's the result of a deeply caring and compassionate ideology. Besides, those immigrants/asylum seekers who aren't here yet don't get to vote and so don't matter, whereas those that are here will be re-assured by giving lots of the necessary 'points' for relatives.
It all helps in getting out the block vote.
lies lies and more lies is Labours only policy on immigration.
they have been 'planning to implememnt' this plan for 2 years and all the while the floodgates remain wide open.
this will be introduced eventually and then ignored in practice.
liam byrne is the biggest LIAR in the government by far, and that is saying something
Rearrange the following words: stable, door, horse & bolted. Of course, every time Nulab try to 'triangulate', they only get themselves deeper in the mire. If this policy actually does get implemented, it will make little difference to immigration, thanks to our subservience to Brussels...
Following this damascene conversion, look for Keith Vaz to adopt the Green's population reduction policy and suggest a programme of repatriation for hundreds of thousands of Pakistani economic migrants who have signally failed to integrate into society here.
nulab = Serially incompetent
Criminally corrupt
Parliament battered by ongoing sleaze stories, two ill-advised foreign buccaneering expeditions going nowhere while people die every day,the country's finances in a dire condition, schools, the Health service and just about everything else needing investment and joined-up thinking, street crime and murder rampant e.t.c.,e.t.c. and what's Gordo's answer? Sorting out the carrier bag "problem".
Shame on the Mail for even giving the idiot space to try an deflect from his abject failure at everything else.
Based on past experience of this gang, there'll be enough trapdoors, cop-outs and exceptions to make the whole thing about as practical in the reduction of traffic as the Florence car limitation zone.
as long as the immigrants vote labour and 80% do, then there will be no change worth a damn and the EU wont let us control OUR borders. thisnk it is bad now wait until the EU get total control and Muslim Turkey are allowed in!
Gordon describes himself as a Daily Mail reader
Is anyone surprised? Authoritarian, hectoring, luddite, presbyterian, hypocritical, pious and anti-intellectual...
And, let's face it, more than a whiff of lavender in the closet.
So lets get this straight:
1) Labour are ditching the promises they made in their manifesto - on the basis that nobody should have thought they were telling the truth.
2) The are implementing Michael Howard's polices they stood against at the last election - branding them racist. (Immigration, welfare reform, boarder police etc )
Surely someone at trading standards should have something to say about this ?
Creep Brown will read, do, say anything if he thinks it will do his crap reputation any good - I used to read the Mail before Dacre got his slimy hands on it
Alex [9.45]
Bercow wasn't alone in spouting this multi-culti 'guff' back then - indeed, many in NuLab still continue to do so. Just another sign that the Government sees the writing on the wall and are grasping at any straw they can...
"So he is actually thinking what Paul Dacre is thinking."
Gordo knows how to bag a headline.
Anyone hear Liam Byrne on Today this morning? Talk about slippery and weasel words - asked whether there were too many immigrants here, could only stutter he thinks "in some places there may have been too much of a change". What is that supposed to mean? He was asked the same question several times, intoned the same mantra every time, refused to say what this actually meant.
If he thought he was convincing anyone - he's wrong. No, I'm unjust - he did convince everyone listening he was a slippery lying toad, an achievemant of a sort I guess.
Slightly off topic but Gordon will be trying to deflect attention from the pseudo negative equity position that arises from the recent changes in the rules for people getting new or renewing mortgages.
The abolition of the 125% loan and its replacement by a 10 to 20% deposit regime means that people who took out 125% mortgages and whose house price has not risen to that 125% level cannot sell their property without incurring the debt difference. Moreover they will now need to find a 20% deposit from somewhere.
The result is a whole group of people who cannot move house without going bust.
NuLab have at last woken up to a few truths we've been telling them for 10 years. Immigration, crime, welfare, NHS making more use of the private sector... see how they've turned turtle after condemning any idea which didn't fit their dogma.
As Anon 9:58 says, anything that doesn't come from the NuLab machine is the spawn of the devil until, as now, it suddenly meets with their approval, upon which it becomes a work of Christlike rectitude.
Of course, in their hearts, they still disapprove of these measures but are forced to pay lip service to them because, if they don't, they might end up with a few riots on their hands. And that's not good for votes.
There is no vision or committment behind Byrne's "getting tough on immigration" so it will fail, along with everything else these cunts have dreamt up along the way.
will this be as effective as Browns last statement.
`British jobs for British people`
which he later admited was a LIE and that he couldnt do it even if he wanted to as the EU pointed out to him!
yes the EU tells us what we can and cannot do on such fundermental issues, and this ain`t something as petty or trivia as a fucking curved bannana story!
if our goverment wants to fart it has to ask the EU first. soon if the goverment wants to just think about farting it will have to ask the EU first.
Well what a load of bollo*ks from Byrne- what ELSE did you expect. 'Britain' probably has around 2-3 million illegal immigrants all allowed in with the consent of the government- not the people. What is usually said is that immigration is 'good' for the country's economy- which is debateable. My guess is that the looming pensions crisis is much WORSE than expected- and the govt wants AS MANY people as POSSIBLE in the country (under the presumption that most will work, and not drain benefits-cough...)to try and avoid possible pensions collapse. We all know what will happen, the majority of 'british' people will continue to ignore and move away from immigrant communities (mainly the black and asian type). Immigrant communities will naturally band together reinforcing seperation. If anybody thinks you are going to EVER get cultural cohesion in this country mow between differing ethnic groups in this country- good luck!
Still no sign that they've noticed the last line
"IT'S TIME FOR ACTION"
For 10 Fookin years, Brown was plotting to be PM. The only thing Original thing he has done since getting into Office is to focus on plastic carrier bags, a policy any five year old could have put together. By the way, what business is it of him if a shop wants to give me a free bag?
Nothing will happen.
Cashpoint fines, 24-hr drinking reform, banning prossies, cutting red tape, sacking bureaucrats... and now clamping doen in immigration.
NOTHING EVER HAPPENS.
We don't have a Govt, we have a PR machine. Surely we ALL know that by now?
Liam Byrne's excuse for driving and using a mobile phone went along the lines of I was dealing with an important immigration appeal case...
Gordon's vision pinch someelse's idea and claim that it is his own.
Perhaps the next Friday competition is to describe Gordon's vision in less than 200 words, but I doubt that it will ever be set to music.
The greatest source of non-EEC immigration is through the arranged marriage scam. What is the government planning to do about this? Nothing, of course. A whole new generation of non-English speaking unskilled labourers arrive here, hand over their postal votes to 'community leaders', and settle in comfortably on the dole. We're the idiots who pay for it all. If anyone thinks this isn't true, why are all the signs in our local benefits centre bilingual in English and Urdu?
Bloody Freaks
What do they know about control? Snotty can't even control his own bowel movements so dumps all over the kingdom.
It is time......Time for a change....(no not that).......Time for the GBP to rise up and lock this slimy bunch in the tower for treason and crimes against humanity.
"Labour were thinking..."
Which part of this statement is untrue?
Gordon brown reads the Daily Hate Mail as it caters to two of his special interests , the environment and nappies.
www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?
I bet there is no chance of him threatening a ban on disposable nappies like he is with plastic bags.
The fat hypocritical Cunt!
hat tip to Stanislav for the word "CUNT"
I havent lately been using nearly as much as I should.
The 'government' can issue points and points and points until it runs out of pencil pushing civil servants to issue them. It does not fucking matter as the door is wide open to every 'EU national' who wants to come.
Let's face it we don't need educated Indian or African doctors, they can go fuck themselves and beg to get into this fine country , what we need is some more fucking eastern european big issuer sellers, child prostitute smugglers, beggars and dope mules - yes no points needed for those highly fuckihg skilled jobs thanks to the poxy EU and our subservience to it.
Comical to say the least.
Labour, pinched a Tory idea.
Perhaps Labour should pinch the Tory way of losing elections, and then the Tories will win one.
Come to think of it, they would lose as well.
So it makes some sense not to copy anyone's ideas, just in case they fail.
Dave 'heir to Blair', be warned,
Gary
NOTHING EVER HAPPENS says Anon.
Oh yes it has - the ban on smoking in pubs. How they loved that little ruse, a perfect opportunity to recruit a new army of state gestapo and bully decent people. Not an ash-tray left unturned, not a pensioner left unhounded.
Having destroyed our pubs by refusing to allow a smoking room, which wouldn't have bothered anyone, could La Flint now show me a single life that has been saved?
And NuLab's tame propagandists at the BBC pushed the "Racist Tory" card for all it was worth in the2005 election - Radio 4 Today programme at the fore. "Aren't you just playing the race card Mr Howard?"
Stephen
Can't someone arrange to tie a non-biodegradable plastic bag firmly over McStalin's glowering control-freak fizzog? This would have benefits both aesthetic, in the sense of concealing a depressing eyesore, and environmental, in reducing air pollution and pointless noise emission.
I have long said that if the Tories did not attempt to make more of the problems caused by the never-ending flood of immigrants, both illegal and by foolish aceptance of those from EE, NuLiebor would do so as it was the only way left for them to win another GE.
Lo, and it came to pass.

Ah, wotta pleasure, a visit from Stoke's finest. Gary, be a good chap and pop over to the previous thread or so, Stanislav has written an essay about you under the heading "CUNT".
He needs the plastic bags for his own dirty linen to be wrapped up in. In fact he needs so many he can't afford to have them to be paid for.
Cunt is nice, Labour are not nice, ergo not cunts.
Aresholes, definitely!
I don't think it was "outrageous" of the Labour Party to condemn the Tory commitment as a racist dog-whistle policy: I think that's exactly what it was, and Labour were absolutely right to say so. Which makes it all the worse that they are now implementing the policy in government.
So, Nero fiddles about with plastic bags while Britain burns!
Sounds just about right for that pillock!
Boris did plastic bags in November last year.
Labour can forget it. As soon as they start talking about limiting immigration the LimpDems will find some poor old dear that had her vag cut off in Somalia and the floating voters will all go "oh how sad, poor dear never mind, we can find room for you" and before you no it we will be looking for space to house the other 3bn people living in god-awful countries of their own creation because we Brits are all just so nice and fair and stuff.
Fuck off the lot of you and sort out your own countries rather than coming here to pollute Britain with your crackpot ideas. We'll even show you how to do it if you're not too ignorant or brainwashed to listen.
" A whole new generation of non-English speaking unskilled labourers arrive here, hand over their postal votes to 'community leaders', and settle in comfortably on the dole."
They don't go on the dole. They visit Dr Mohammed and he registers them as disabled. Haven't you noticed that Asian men over the age of 40 have a tendency to walk with a limp? Now you now why the government will freely admit that 90% of the disabled are capable of work. Its because if they forced these tossers to work they'd lose the Asian vote overnight.
This policy was on page 52 of the Labour manifesto headlined "a points system for immigration". Labour's compalint was that the Tory policy on asylum was nonsense (and Cameron eveidently agrees because he has scrapped it) and about the way that certain Tories told lies about immigration to get votes by exploiting fears.
Funny how your liberatrianism ends when it comes to this issue.
More from the friday Flint Flyers.
1] Shops to be banned from selling plastic macs [say .. three hundred billion go into landfill each year.. no one knows the figures anyway.. nerds also use plastic sandwich boxes and clingfilm.. this government to revist the whole approach to trainspotters in the UK]
2] DEFRA to insit livestock passports contain biometric data and actual photos of each animal.
[holiday snaps are acceptable]
3] Announce THERE WILL BE NO THIRD RUNWAY AT HEATHROW
[small print..announce a very long straight, wide, well lit road leading from terminal 5 to Colnbrook that will not be open to regular traffic]
4] Barcoding of children so they can be scanned into the morning register.
Messages for Gordon.
Peerages on Ebay ..they said yes as long as it goes in the politics/collectable/fraud/sleeze/ section.
Matt Groening has changed his email so no reply.
Mel Gibson is quite keen on your script for Braveheart 2.
He thinks the cutting off of King EdBlair's head and putting it on a spike is a good strong scene. However he has concerns that the McBrown character is rather unlikeable and a bit weird and the audience will be unable to empathise with him sufficently.
Also he asks, what is his motivation? Just terminall hatred and an unjustified sense of betrayal, coupled with a naked lust for power seem a bit far fetched to allow this man to carry the throne .A rewrite may be required.

Gordon describes himself as a Daily Mail reader in the paper this morning
I might say that someone like Brown can not afford to pick and choose, but unfortunately with this Prime Minister such a phrase has a different interpretation.
You know the daily mirror is shit and out of touch when even the commies they support stop reading it!
Liam Bryne was able to say with confidence that immigrants have paid six billion pounds in tax(over what period?) and these same immigrants have cost far less in terms of using services!
Where did he get that figure? when he does not know how many immigrants are in the UK!
How does he know that immigrants cost the UK far less in services than they pay in tax?
The Toady show let him gat away with these statements without comment!
I did like the bit where Bryne slipped up by saying yes to the question of are there too many imigrants and then he backtracked as he realised what a booboo he had just made!
I can just see Brown laying into him 'big styly'!
@Cassandra: yes, that's a NuLiebour favourite isn't it. And they never tell you that the immigrants he is talking about are Jewish-American investment bankers, employees of big Anglo-American and Anglo-European companies and Japanese heads of car companies paying VAT on luxury goods.
Conveniently forgets that the unemployment rate amongst Asians is 3x the unemployment rate amongst whites. Not quite sure how much of a contribution they can be making. Are they going to be the next JK Rowling whilst writing novels on the dole perhaps? Or the next Oasis writing left-leaning pop songs?
The next lie they love to come out with is that the NHS is dependent on foreign employees. This is readily exposed as back in 1950 when the NHS was set up there were only white doctors and nurses working in it and it worked very well too. No AIDs or MRSA or neo-TB to contend with either. Importing 3rd world doctors gave us a 3rd world health service with 3rd world diseases. No big surprise there surely.
brown said'we have to accept our own responsibility for ending the environmental damage we are causing".
when will he accept his responsibility for selling our gold at the bottom, spunking £110 billion on n crock,100 stealth taxes, millions of immigrants(legal and illegal),changing constituency boundaries, pissing away all the oil money and generally making us all poor except the super rich and anyone working for the government????oh yea and giving the eu billions...lying in manifestos ...........what a turd
bofl
Dear Mr Bloke
First find out what most libertarians think on the matter of immigration before you display your own utter ignorance.
Yes
Libertarians do believe in open borders.
However only in the absence of almost the entire welfare state.
(and many other changes to our current system of buggering everything up as much as possible.)
In a libertarian paradise you can't have both. For reasons that should be self apparent even to someone as obviously thick as yourself.
Got it now?
Well, that does not surprise me, your type never do.
ATLAS shrugged
Liam Byrne manages to look exactly like Lavrenti Beria, but without any of his charm or warmth. The ideal NuLabor pod person.
