We have been conned by Brown on a breathtaking scale and the person conned most of all is Vince Cable who has been calling loudly for nationalisation without knowing the actual state of NR's accounts.
Is Cable now having second thoughts or is he going to try to bluff his way out of this?

Looks like Red Ken was advised by Tony Robinson, as the "cunning little plan" has come unstuck.
But, at least Red Ken has been masterful and prompt in suspending Jasper prior to his tete a tete with the GLA.

This was known with 2 or 3 days of the NR collapse. The extraordinary thing is that it was NOT taken into account when Brown decided to nationalise NR. So that's £40 billion of OUR money totally unsecured by anything. Granite must be pissing themselves laughing.
Jasper's suspension doesn't mean he cannot appear before the London Assembly next week. 10.00am next Wednesday at City Hall, London SE1 - could be worth a laugh.
Anyway now the Old Bill have cleared Jasper, surely Ken should allow Lee back in to City Hall so he can carry onn with his £120,000 year job don'tcha think?
