The Silent Trials and Tribunals of Peter Hain
People forget that Hain already has a criminal conviction for conspiracy. It was this experience that presumably provided the basis for his 1984 book, Political Trials in Britain (still available on Amazon.)During his conspiracy trial Hain elected not to give evidence, Lord Justice Roskill finding him guilty emphasised "He gave no explanation of his part over the incidents with which he was charged."
In another legal case, Donna Easter, a 32 year-old single mother of two who worked in Mr Hain's constituency office in Neath, took him to an industrial tribunal - she allegedly was paid £35 for supposedly a 15-hour week. There were allegations floating around at the time that she was also paid from petty cash to allow her to continue claiming benefits. Hain was not at the hearing in Cardiff, despite his desk at the Welsh Office being only 300 yards way.
Rachel Davies, the tribunal chairwoman, said: "It is unfortunate that Mr Hain is not present today to put his side of the case". The tribunal found unanimously in her favour and she was awarded compensation of £2,746 and £299 holiday pay. Similarly today Hain once again stays silent when he is in the shit, as speculation grows that the police will be called in...

Aquarians normally keep schtum when the shit hits the fan.
When a politician says "what I want to be perfectly clear about", you know he/she's shovelling bullshit. The words clear and open in the context of Tangoman is prima facie evidence of smoke being blown up your ass.
The gay snot-gobbler is stalling, presumably because the Orange cunt has the goods on him and may out him and he is employing the usual Nu-Lab "we'll have an enquiry, and by then your mind will be on football again".
I have little confidence in plod, because the PC Pc will be involved and have his markers called in for Gay Gorgon's support. Move along please, nothing to see here.
It's not even a banana republic any more FFS, it's the fucking Congo.
So he's a "conviction politician" as well, LOL...
Is this that South African shit?
No wonder he fits in so well with the Labour Gang, maybe if the CPS aren't bought off this time he could write a new book?

Hi yes I need £25,000 quickly ! You can great, yes its for a family emergency I have to get back to South Africa, yes a Tesco bag will be fine.
once upon a time in the mysterious world of gordon brown, there was bear called peter , there was also a crab called peter but we will stick with the bear for now.
now peter the bear liked PR agencies indeed they were like honey for him.
he liked morgan quite alot they seemed to find him honey all over the place, there was tescos honey, trev honey and even GMB honey. so much honey that he was having difficulty stashing it in the legal places he was supposed to , so that everyone knew that his honey stash was from clean sources.
then along came chris grayling he was blue with rage , and asked peter the bear to explain how come so much honey had arrived to him through a non legal source.
hain the bear decided to go back to his cave until grayling had pissed off.
but grayling would wait as he heard that another PR company had been supplying hain the bear with honey.
this story will be continued on thurs !! night night everyone
Bit of background: one may work up to 16 hours a week and still claim Jobseeker's Allowance so long as the Job Centre is informed and a form completed showing hours worked and payslips is handed over every fortnight when signing on. JSA is reduced on a £-for-£ basis. But paying £35 for 15 hours a week surely falls foul of minimum wage law; no ifs, no buts. The Sec of State for W&P would know about things like this, surely, unless he relies on the "I'm so effing stupid and hopeless" defence.
the beginning of the very end.
machiavelli, how can I be disappointed when I am more machiavellian than thee?
That just about sums this bunch of cunts up; a government minister whose dabs are on record at the Yard. How long before his DNA joins them?
Sane people will find nothing unusual in this; the man is vile. The surprising thing though is the way in which the Bolshevic Broadcasting Corporation go easy on the little gobshite - can you imagine the racket they'd make if a Tory goverment appointed a minister with such an unsavoury past? They'd have sent half the country deaf with their shrill liberal screeching.
Is Mr Peter Hain classified as a confirmed bachelor? Like so many of his parliamentarian colleagues, Mrs Hain hasn't come to his defence either. Is she, too, pissed off by his persistent duplicity, his constant braggadocio, his foul smirk when facing a camera whilst crouching forward in mock modesty, and his oily hair. Myself? I think he's a creep. Can't stand hypocritical people with shoulders like a champagne bottle, and who never leaves footprints in the sand. This ' oppportunist ' of an MP is a serial Turn-Coat. On any well ordered estate the Guns would have eliminated this corrupt animal by now.
I see that the little South African problem has been resolved.
Not a mention on the newspaper round-up on Today this morning.
On my screen he appears to be glowing brightly, like a heroine in a bodice-ripper; has he just dismounted from something or someone?

WHO FUNDED her £3000 pay off?
On current form , it is not likely to have come out of Pensioner's pocket.
Neath moles, dig for Guido.
And don't forget, Gordon "Courage" Brown has also gone AWOL.
You don't have to be charged or criticised by a third party to be sacked by the PM. The PM simply has to conclude that you are not up to the job.
Hain was "too busy" to obey the rules, yet sought yet another job. COME OUT AND SACK HIM GORDON.
We trust that Hain's "previous" will betaken into account if and when he is sentenced.
Entertaining Ian Lucas MP, is backing Pensioner to the hilt!. Ian sees no reason why Pensioner should not remain in his offices, even if the police are carrying investigating Phain's donation irregularities. Perhaps wannabe Welshman Ian's indifference to the plods may not be unrelated to his being called a Ned Ludd by his local(and Welsh) head Bobby.
How long can Hain keep going? Anyone taking bets on whether he makes it to Friday?
The longer it goes on the better.........
From permatan to permafrost
Fucking magic!!
Excuse me 45 Govt. FFS its like the bloody Congo
I left the Congo in good nick when I was abducted by Mobutu in 1966. The Sino/Russia backed army had been defeated, the gold and diamond mines commenced production and the future looked bright. Unfortunately I was terminated but I still feel the pain of your slur.
Could you not compare UK with say Cuba or Australia(an English speaking banana republic)
WTF was Lucas MP on about last night on Newsnight.
According to the unfortunate Lucas, Hain volunteered all this info freely.
Yet I distinctly recall Guido and others having to extract the info from Pain like a fiver from a Yorkshireman's wallet.
It's bad enough being offered by the spinmeisters as a low-rent stooge for Newsnight - but to talk such utter bollox and be asked to keep a straight face must be beyond endurance.
Hain is no doubt on his knees praying for Northern Rock to be nationalised to-day in the hope that the "proverbial" will be directed at Brown and Darling for their mishandling of that fiasco. Let's face it £185,000 is small beer compared to £60 Billion of taxpayer's money "invested" in saving "The Rock".
He's still "toast" however and is finished careerwise
1)Neath Labour Party office and phone number are apparently the same as Hain's constituency office and phone number.
2)Hain's parliamentary expenses are amongst the highest.
How are the office expenses, overheads and staff costs shared between Hain and his local Party organisation? What exactly does Hain claim Parliamentary expenses for?
Dig, Guido, dig!
Round of applause for Francis Bennion who personally funded the early criminal charge against Hain, which cost him £40,000 in 1970. He managed to make one charge stick, but the technicalities of a conspiracy case made it difficult for the jury to reach a decision on the other charges.
Over the years Bennion has made no bones about his opinion of Hain and has only wondered why this viper has been cuddled to the bosom of the body politic when they have been warned time and time again, and not only by Bennion, what Hain is like.
In 2005 Bennion received an email from a victim of a bombing in South Africa which sums up the reasons why Hain is such a malign figure.
Bennion can himself be a blustering caricature. This does not automatically mean he is wrong, although the MSM have often dismissed his political views on that basis alone. Unfortunately, the later prosecution for the bank robbery gave Hain a spurious respectability. Fun though it would be to re-run that trial, the bank robber was supposed to have dropped the stolen money when challenged. That doesn't sound much like Hain's characteristic behaviour.
G Brown once again by his support of criminal actions demonstrates his unfitness to govern Gt Britain.

Yes, Moral Compass Goes AWOL is quite right. Guido, what about reviving your "Where's Gordon?" thing?
The last I heard were some sepulchral utterances, issued from deep below Downing Street, on a report issued by the Burke & Hare Thinktank.
P.S. This Hain business is the mutt's nuts!
The banner ad flashing above the Grauniad's leader on Hain today is for
The Criminal Justice Summit 2008, with keynote speaker Jack Straw.
Hope he can update them on Hain's impending conviction!

'Hain the Pain' isn't very good at Maths. 35 divided by 15 = 2.3333333
What is the minimum wage ??
Who paid the £200 fine for theCriminal Conviction Pensioner.
Surely not pro Apartheid supporter ( and 2007 Hain benefactor)Isaac Kaye.
Where's Gordon?
Its not just gordo who has lost his moral compass. bbc has a nulab stooge on, saying 'of course hain concealing his pocketed donations through a slush fund , isn't nearly as serious as the nasty Tories,' and then he used the A word. Cue beeboid hack saying quite, there, there !
Let us hope that Richard Caborn MP and Gordo's World Cup 2018 ambassador, will not be so unkind as to remind his boss of Caborn's previous characterisation of Pensioner Phain as being STUPID.
I'm never been a member of ANY political organisation but I reckon Gordo's setting sleazy Hain up to get nicked. Hain enjoys the trappings of power too much, so Gordo knows that Hain will never resign of his own accord. After all why should he - Hain's not the only lying corrupt bastard in the cabinet. Gordo knows that were he to sack Hain this would run the risk of upsetting the tribalist element of his party and give Hain the opportunity to dish the dirt on Gordo himself. Gordo hasn't got the balls for that. However, if PC Plod were to feel Hain's collar, Hain will have to go. In such circumstances any allegations Hain may wish to throw at Brown can be conveniently dismissed as the bitter rantings of a disgruntled ex-minister, a criminal suspect to boot, enabling Gordo to play the 'I feel let down 'cos he betrayed our trust' card! I reckon Gordon and his mates are probably on the blower to PC Plod as we speak! If I were Hain I'd pack my toothbrush, a spare pair of clean underpants and a jar of vaseline as he'll be needing these where he's going...
Hain has 'no immediate plans' to pay Labour £16,000 he owes
Time to pass around the cap again?
I see that the conviction was for direct action against the 1970 South African cricket tour in the UK. Not as serious as his current behaviour but it does show that he is (or at least was) prepared to deliberately go against the law of the land when it suited him.
If it came to ID cards, I have to say I might be prepared, passively, to oppose the law like (and I shudder to admit the comparison) Calamity Clegg. BUT, if interviewed on that topic, how could Peter Hain oppose Clegg's stance against the law - a Cabinet Minister simply cannot sustain such a view and must go!
This is what Dominic Lawson, in the Indy, thinks:
"Besides – and despite the impression you might have received – it was Mr Hain himself who revealed that his campaign had been grossly late in declaring the true extent and sources of its funding. It was not a case of brilliant investigative journalists discovering something which Hain had attempted to suppress. The story came in the form of an unprompted press release, accompanied by an outright apology."
Really?
Just shows you can fool some of the people some of the time.
Why is Lawson so partial to Pensioner? Is there a Daff connection?
Pale rider - were the orange weasel to appear in front of our line, it would be to hell with the "no ground game rule", twould be fire at will, and well. I always prefer to shoot the vermin over the game.
A quick perusal of the online Daily Browngraph today reveals no mention on the TangerineMan, just reference to Osborne being investigated. WTF...somebody should start an independent paper - oh, silly me.
Pensioner's PPS Mrs Jess(ica) Morden MP., has not voiced her support for her boss. Promotion on the way?
Silverware endorsements anyone?
I'm going to enjoy dancing on his political grave as much as anyone, but to use his previous conviction against him is a bit low. It was for interfering with a tour of Sth African sports teams, arguably justified as a protest against apartheid
Hain was also arrested for robbing Barclays Bank many years ago - he recently did an interview about it. At least that's good old fashioned honest thievery.
Will Harriet Harperson's hubby and Labour treasurer Mr Jack " I was told nothing" Dromey-Harperson send the bailiffs into Pensioner's gaff for the £16000 due by him to the Red brothers and sisters?.
I am pretty sure I read that the puritanical spirit of the old afrikanna led him to get a porn shop shut down which was too near his constituency. Obviously a case of The Joy of Hypocrisy rather than The Joy of Sex.
Sorry, that should have read: too near his constituency office.
Bennion, who is a reactionary's reactionary, doesn't count. Some of the tactics may have gone too far, but history has surely justified the "Stop the South African tours" campaigns.
Aberavon & Neath Lib.Dem said:

No it has not, look at the state of the country now!
WELL DONE now please finish the rest of the job and get rid of this nasty enemy of England in our midst. ASAP and thank BRITANNIA RADIO'S Harry Hoffman for urging the issue be made public in the first place. Your blog is good amongst many - Britannia radio is the ONLY BRITISH INTERNET RADIO STATION - Why not put a link on your site to it???

Rumours all over the House tonight that Hain resigns tomorrow.
The key question that Brown should ask Hain is why are many of the donors telling all and sundry that they were asked personally by Hain for a donation. If they don't try to mislead the investigations then Hain is sunk. Brown should realise that he is being damaged by the whole affair. It is yet another example of his indecisive personality. More Mr. Bean than Stalin again it seems
molotov
The two month delay between Hain being rumbled (by Guido) and last week's declaration was so that Hain could organise the conspirators' stories. WTF else do you think he was doing in that time - counting 17 donations?
Peter Grimes
Ungrateful Welsh bitch! Hain used to get a dozen blacks working around the house in South Africa for less than this per month. Can't wait for him to be sent back as there are a few comrades keen to re-make his acquaintance
