On todays Guardian Comment Is Free, Tom Bower comes very close to outing Gordon Brown as a thoroughly screwed up homosexual according to the following post.
With several similiar articles and comments from various pudits like Quentin Letts, Andrew Neil, and Matthew Parish recently it seems to me that one of them is very close to outing Brown publicly:
"It seems to me that Bower is hinting at a deep-rooted psychological malaise within Gordon Brown, describing its symptoms but not actually speculating as to what it is - why not?
He drops hints - masterful father, rebukes at home, confessions of wrongdoing, missing the progression from teenager to adult, all very Freudian, and then he uses the word stonewalling.
Is this perhaps a coded description of a homosexual?
At the time I thought it was disgraceful when Sue Lawley practically accused Brown of being homosexual on Desert Island Discs, but possibly Bower is ploughing the same furrow."

Much as I disagree with a lot of Vince's policies - I must congratulate him on that famous one-liner, it summed Brown up to a tee. If Brown ever felt he had lost it, it must have been then hearing all the laughing. Stormy times ahead for Mr Bean with the 28 day extension, the EU treaty humiliation and Stagflation.
Really, who gives a stuff if GB has doubts about (or even certainties about) some latent homosexuality? What's the big deal? And is it really fair to give him such a public pummeling over it? It must be very difficult both for him and his family. Do him for his political failures - there are plenty to go at - but please, leave his sexuality out of it.
Vince the Mince has many admirable qualities but before everyone gets too enthusiastic, the Stalin/Mr. Bean line actually was coined several weeks previously by journalist Leo McKinstry at the Daily Express.

He said on Newsnight he 'd thought up this hilarious joke while in the bath. He then decided to try it out on a few of his colleagues, it appears they all fell about in convulsions at his brilliance. He then practiced his delivery until at last his many years as an M.P. came to fruition. That's what we've got for an opposition a Toff and a bloody comedian, just what we need.
