When I think how the Tories were castigated for their sleaze in the 1990s... but back then it was just a few rogue ministers shagging their secretaries, brown envelopes for pointless questions, etc. Oh how Blair made the most of it and how the media played along.

Anne Darwin has at least the moral defence because she did lose her husband in a sense. She is also not a public servant or a politician so is not in a position of trust.
Harman however has the morals of a she devil. The responsibility of a drunken tart, and the ordinary human values of an SS officer.
The damage these people are deliberately doing to the constitution of the United Kingdom is truly wicked, and forever unforgivable.
I complained to the BBC News website that they were leading yet again on Canoe-gate while practically ignoring multiple government corruption stories. What do you suppose the response will be?
Now we know that canoe-woman knew her husband was alive before the inquest which declared him dead, so how on earth can she say she accepted the insurance money in good faith? Hopefully the newspapers will want their money back, and then some - why should they pay for a made-up story?
Surely there's no comparison between the two women depicted - one is a toothy fraudulent old cow with pretensions to a wealthy lifestyle at the expense of others, who was given a lot of money on false pretences and whose useless husband disappeared from public view several years ago and has been doing very little since - and the other is....Ah, well, yes, I can see there might be similarities after all.
