Vince Cable : "From Stalin to Mr Bean"

It has come to something when even the LibDems are taking the piss out of Gordon's competence at PMQs. Vince has been very impressive on Northern Rock, military funding, the economy and slapping down Gordon. Some may wonder if the the LibDems have the best choice before them...

Indeed, vince cable is a country mile ahead of the 'Tom and jerry' act which are pitching for the top job..

The transcriber for Hansard must be going nuts over listening to Brown.

To take away the stuttering or leave it in.............

Brown strikes me as the sort who cannot bear to be made to look ridiculous.I think Cable has scored a bullseye. It's now up to the opposition to continue to mock him at all times. He will not be able to cope.

Love or hate Vince, he was really on the money. Even Pinocchio Straw was laughing - there is clearly dissension in the Brown camp.

Cable has been consistantly effective against Brown at PMQs. A great shame he only gets two punches and Cameron gets six.

Cameron missed a sitting target today.

He is clearly a man of taste

Gordon has just said Hariet knew nothing until Saturday yet HH said on camera that she knew on Friday?

Cable's lethal. Brown's now farcical, dead PM walking.

Curly said...

Should we call him "High Voltage Cable"?

Brown needs to be roughed up every Wednesday, he looked as though he rode this one out, Cameron could have steamed in a bit stronger today.

Last weeks PMQ Brown said "In the last 10 years we have had the lowest interest rates and the the lowest inflation rates in any decade."
This weeks PMQ Brown said" We have had the lowest interest rates and the lowest inflation rates for a generation"
His he losing the plot.

Gordo blanked Harridan at PMQ

Anonymous said...

Are interest rates the lowest for a generation? We can't trust him so we have to questions everything he says.

Inflation is low if you ignore housing costs and council tax - which is exactly what Gordo does...

Brown has claimed that his campaign did not take Abrahams’ money because his campaign only took money from those who were known to him. But Brown also admitted at his press conference yesterday that he had met Abrahams on several occasions.

Brown contradicts his own explanation, implying that his campaign knew there was something wrong with Abrahams’ money.

I was looking forward to seeing Cameron give Gordo a good beating, but Dave's performance in PMQ's has flatlined recently in my opinion. Theres something that doesn't work with his voice, it's always angry...he would be much more effective if he mixed it up a bit more, something tells me Osborne would do a better job, I loved his "get a grip" rant at Darling...

what the hell is the daily politics doing, with some feature about body image... surely today isn't the day...

You forgot Sauid Arabia.

The BBC's Nick Robinson on the Daily Politics did his best to minimise this scandal. By the end of the programme he and Brownite twit Ben Bradshaw were deep in a private conversation.

It's clear to all and sundry that Robinson is a propagandist for Labour and Adam Boulton on Sky isn't much better. Perhaps he should stop socialising with Mendelsohn and other labour apparatchiks.

"If the donations are to be paid back, surely the cheques have to be made out to the actual donor, not Abrahams. They of course are quite entitled to keep it, as it was gifted to them."

What a splendid notion! The couple who have "always" supported the Conservatives will be thrilled!

Inflation is only low if you focus on imported goods from china.

food up 10% this year.
Petrol up 10-15% since September.
Trains up 5% (minimum) in January

Hahahahaha!

Iain Dale has yellow carded DES.

I wonder if one of the reasons was the following post timed a minute before PMQs started!

Jacqui Smith must be so pleased. The staff meeting forgot she was a cookery teacher. And GNVQ co-ordinator. Till she became Home Sec.

And Jack Straw ran student voice.

And Peter Hain was groundsman. i/c lawnmower.

Seeing the Great Clunking Calamity squirm is undoubtedly a great pleasure and substantial contribution to the gaiety of the nation, but it's disingenuous to ignore the fact the reason Lord Snooty tanked so weedily at PMQs is directly related to the murkily similar way he and his Pal's run their own tuck-shop. Glass houses? Stones anyone?

What sad little socalist you really are!

But hey you never know, your name might end up in the grubby hands of some headchopper because of your fucking glorious leader incompetance......

Cable was quite good today-not as though it was a challenge to score points off that sick old man.

HOWEVER I would start to wonder about the mental stability of Huhne after loosing his rag with some Nu Lairbour fuckwit.

He did the same with Cleggy as well.

Is he becoming the Howard Dean of British politics?

Cable may have some dotty policies, but that "Stalin to Mr Bean" had me laughing. Cable is a man with whom you can disagree without feeling that you have been dealing with a f**kwit apparachnik.

Whether Huhne or Clegg will be as good is indeed an interesting question.

Cameron took the right line with McBroon.

Whilst it would be wonderful to see the mendacious cunt - our shameful excuse for a Prime Monkey (sorry, Minister) - destroyed at the dispatch box, we all have to accept that every party does have funding problems and that they can throw the same comments back and forth about who is/isn't acceptable.

The difference is, absolutely, quite clearly that Nu-Liebour under Bliar and McBroon have broken the law not once, not twice but on multiple occasions and they still can't keep their fucking house in order despite being caught out selling honours and taking monies from crooks and for favours.

That's why Cameron repeatedly called for the involvement of the police. It would be much more damning for a prosecution to come about that any number of names successfully thrown over the ballot box at that nose-picking, socially disfunctional fucktard.

Therefore, we can safely leave the name calling to political never-will-bes like Vince Cable and any other Limp Dums who care to raise their voices.

Perhaps as importantly on this issue making public consciousness, as the governing party, Nu-Liebour are showing over and over again that they can't be trusted with the public accounts when they can't be trusted with their own.

Just watched Kay Birley give Charlie Whelan a hard time on SKY.

Three times she asked the same question, intermixed, after the second time with others (good technique), namely NuLab had stated that only one person knew and he had resigned. How come at least two others knew.....?

Needless to say, no real answer...

Whelan said that Brown was a man with total integrity, more than any other politician he had known.

I'm going to get a glass of wine....I just can't stand it...

Whoever said that Brown cannot take ridicule is right. The man was clearly losing his temper today and sat down with what I would describe as a petulant flounce. I am beginning to agree with the girly boy theorists....

And here is the proof

Gordon Bean

btw - this is the UN's definition of money laundering:

"Money laundering is a process which disguises illegal profits without compromising the criminals who wish to benefit from the proceeds. It is a dynamic three-stage process that requires: first, moving the funds from direct association with the crime; second, disguising the trail to foil pursuit; and third, making the money available to the criminal once again with the occupational and geographic origins hidden from view"

Today's Mr Bean soundbite from the acting leader of the Liberals is going to be the only thing anyone ever remembers about him. It was an absolute copper bottomed cracker of a put down, a total exocet. Top marks there. Brown had a face like thunder, about to explode, and each one of the "cabinet of all the nobodys" went white! BUT who made that one up? And who told Cable to say it? That's what I want to know. That Cable guy has all the wit and personality of a plank of wood, no way he could have come up with that belter. So who? And why aren't they Prime Minister?

gruntfuttock said...

Not the first time Vince Cable has seriously rattled Brown,as any regular listener of PMQs will know.Dave should find an excuse to be elsewhere for a couple of weeks and let Hague at Brown,he'd demolish the poor fool.Cable's comment might just be the tipping point for Brown,he appears unstable and obviously can't take ridicule, something the press are increasingly heaping on him....including rupert's rags.
