Today's Picture Caption Contest

Like many sweating photo editors Guido would like to use a picture of David Abrahams and Gordon Brown today for his regular Friday competition. We know they were both at the April Board of Deputies event at which Gordon spoke, with Abrahams sitting next to Mendelsohn (they probably talked about the weather). But if you do have a photo, send it to the usual email. It is nearly Christmas, and Guido has been a good boy.

Can Santa send me his list of naughty girls pls?

AntiCitizenOne said...

If Santa has outsourced his list to Crapita then I'll save them some time by coming up with..

SELECT *
FROM GiftRecipients
WHERE Sex='f'
AND DOB < 01/01/1980
AND Been_Good = 0

or just mail me the whole DB on a few CDs. It's what the Govt would do.

Don't send it to Guido, send it too me. I asked first dammit!

A spokesman for the Board of Deputies apparently said it was an amazing coincidence that Mendelsohn and Abrahams were seated together. I for one am convinced that this is a reasonable explanation.

Abrahams: "If I bunged you £600,000 would you wave through my planning application?"

Brown {winking): "I couldn't possibly say."

Guido - don't bother with the picture.

Nelson: I see no ships

Brown: I see nothing wrong

Gordon isn't winking in that picture - he's only got one eye and he suffers from a debilitating condition of the facial muscles. That's why only the elect can perceive his magnificent smile.

In any case, the picture doesn't exist.

I do have an exclusive photo showing the toll the past week has taken on Gordon:

as you can see he still has one close friend clasped to his chest as he grimly 'rides ahead' with the business of government.

Anonymous 10:54, a couple of unfortunate facts getting in the way - the Highways Agency removed its objection to planning permission for Durham Green in 2006before the April 2007 Dinner - the planning authority that gave permission was Lib-Dem controlled Durham City Council.

You should have seen the wedding seating plan. Ai yi yi yi.

The Lib-Dems broke an almost 60-year uninterrupted Labour rule in Durham City because the taint of corruption attaching to the Labour administration got so reeky even the locals felt they should do something about it. the Lib-Dems are now into their second consecutive administration there. For researchers, look up Tony Martin, the Durham City Cobbler, for more insights.

You're getting desperate.

Abrahams campaign of bungs to Labour started after his initial planning application was blocked by the Highways Agency. £400,000 later the HA (prop: Douglas Alexander) made a nifty u-turn. There was much to celebrate at that April 2007 meeting.

Chris Paul said...

Durham City Council Lib Dem group are obviously being bankrolled by Baroness Lollipop Lady. Or Guido is again utterly wrong about a property developer of whatever hue getting some planning permission.

This is how Guido "breaks stories". He simply blogs stuff that is mostly untrue or at best unproven. It's called defamation. And although Guido is himself writ happy no-one bothers to sue him. He's not worth it.

The Lib Dems probably don't bother to put in any returns at all. No income tax, no VAT etc etc

Brown: "You recall that disappearing stunt Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt pulled off at Cheviot Beach in 1967 with the help of the Chinks? Can your lot arrange something similar?"

Israeli Spook: "My life, so soon! Show me the shekels."

Chris Paul
You are clutching at straws mate. Just look at the trends in PMs of recent history
Margaret Thatcher, Conservative, not investigated by the police
John Major, Conservative, not invetsigated by the police
Tony Blair, Labour, Questioned (twice) in connection with allegations of corruption and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice
Gordon Brown, Labour, To be questioned in connection with a number of offences under PPERA 2000 (that he has already admitted)

Chris, can you please also explain why Labour was never prosecuted for false accounting on its 2004 accounts that never mentioned the "loans"? It's totally bang to rights on that one

There's a bit of a trend here....
Conservative = Legal
Labour = Bent

keith dovkunts said...

Brown: "I might need to get away on the hurry up. What's the going rate for an Israeli passport?"

Abrahams: "Just a snip."

I've read Melanie Phillips' rant about Guido's blog on the Spectator website, and it's really upleasant the way she's detailed comment after comment left on this blog - like a witch hunt. If all these dodgy Labour donors had turned out to be Muslims, I'm sure Ms Philips would have had plenty to say about it and would have been avidly protesting the freedom of the press to do likewise.

Oh and I almost forgot - Labour's answer to losing Durham City Council is to abolish it next year under the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 and absorb it into the very firmly Labour controlled Durham County Council - despite overwhelming public opposition in a local referedum

Made a rocking horse for my grandchild in 1992.
Three grandchildren later they have all great fun with it.
I notice the crack across the grain on the head.
Same thing happened with mine.

Altogether now...

Two little boys
Had two little toys
Each had a rocking horse
Gayly they play
Each working day
Embezzling both of course
One uncut chap then had a mishap
The call came while giving head...

(I'll get my coat...)

Couldn't you just photoshop one and then issue a public statement that this had been done without your permission and that if anyone had bothered to ask, you would have said no.

The Durham Green Business Park development was chosen to be included in the ODPM's pilot project for Planning Delivery Agreements. This project was seemingly under the stewardship of Mrs. Ed Balls.

Perhaps strangely, the report into the PDA project lists the developer/agent of the Durham Green site as being "Naylors/Drawbridge Securities/Alistair Grills Assoc".

No mention of Abrahams or his companies.

Anonymous said...

Gareth, if I am not mistaken the development you refer to is another Logistics Centre Business Park development at Newton Aycliffe, also off the A1 in Durham but further south, which also got the go-ahead after the Highways Agency lifted its objections at the same time as the Durham Green Development. The Newton Aycliffe development has not connection with Abrahams to the best of my knowledge.

and so on and so on . . . for ever.

Guido, would you like to borrow my photo of Gordon Brown sitting on a rocking horse, wearing a nappy, and sucking a toffee apple?

so, guido, do you think all this anti-semitism makes your blog look serious?

Take it Guido that you have seen the Harriet Harman photos on Reuters.

Tamburlaine said...

Could the crack on the grain on Gordon's horse be related to excessive riding and insufficient use of a saddle (a nappy just doesn't redistribute the weight as well...)?
