An uncontrolled and unmanaged system of immigration is causing misery to the lives of thousands of people on the ground.
I work as a social worker and I spend half of my time dealing with people who have housing issues / Home Office issues / etc... and it is very frustrating. Labours open door policy is causing chaos on an industrial scale. Therefore, David Cameron is right to address this as an issue.
And to half the people (my guess is they are three to four uneducated, unintelligent lefties leaving childish comments under several different names) above, go and do some social or voluntary work and see for yourself the problems which are being caused, instead of screaming 'your all racists' at the mere hint of a debate on immigration. Making false accusations of racism (as Julie Etchingham has done) is about as low as you can get.

If the conservatives want power back, they would be better placed looking at what NuLab did right (ie party discipline, unified messaging, not letting the egos of former leaders / grandees get in the way of modernisation.)
