Gordon Has Bottled It

The author of a book on Courage, the genius tactician, has bottled it. Gordon marched his troops to the top of the hill, and then he ran away. The Brownies* will claim that they are "getting on with the job" but they have done nothing but electioneer, they are not governing, they are campaigning and spinning non-stop. They are more focused on good headlines than good governance.
Oh well, Guido has taken quite a few quid off those betting on an early election and that "Tories to be the biggest party" bet looks a lot better now.

Gordon's judgement, to not simply squash the speculation, will be in question and his authority much reduced after this, Cameron called him on it without reservation. Dave didn't flinch, Gordon just blinked...
*No longer will Guido use the macho sounding term Brownites, these are the Brownies. Compared to the Blairites, we really are dealing with the B-team.

All Yellow
Brown has done an exclusive interview with Andrew Marr who came out onto the steps of Number 10 afterwards as if he was his press spokesman. Apparently Brown was brought information by his advisers, it was his duty to look at this information and, having looked at it, he decided against going ahead.
If Marr lets him off with that in the interview he should be sacked. The other media outlets are furious at an exclusive being granted to Marr and are describing him as a "pet interviewer" among other things.
Brown may come to regret not including the Murdoch press though!
I've seen a clip of that Andrew Marr interview and Brown looks very tired and ill. Everyone seems to be commenting on it, even BBC news presenters say he looked tired during his visit to Iraq.
Is he unwell? We really ought to be told.
Trevor Kavanagh has just made a pretty damning and devastating critique of Gordon on News 24. Brown's signed his own death warrant.
Scotland the brave? In your dreams, wind-bag. You're a disgrace to this nation. A corrupt, fecking loser.
Indecision like this can only lead to bad judgement. Brown's finished.
Stephen Ladyman sounds like Comical Ali, this will cause the Conservatives to implode. Yeah like hell.

Apparently, he suffers from Yellow fever.
Wow! Anyone else hear Trevor Kavanagh on the BBC ? He throughly and magnificently excoriated Brown and his disastrous track record in Government . Gordon's not gonna recover from this.
Listening to Ladyman I feel sorry for his constituents who just lost their chance to get rid of the smug twat this year.
Murdoch's contempt...
Kavanagh's criticism of Brown must have been catastrophic for the Brownies to hear . Bye Bye Gordon! (and that's no hyperbole)
This direct from Nick Robinson...
What I think we have learnt from this is that there was clearly, as demonstrated in the polls, approval for Gordon Brown's performance in the early weeks as prime minister.
Even in defeat Robinson is still plugging the Gordon line...where is the unbiased political comment we pay for but never get from the BBC.
Somebody please start a petition to switch the licence fee to ITV.
It now seems kinnocks gloating comment at the Labour conference has come back and bit him on the arse.He was a twat as leader and still is now.
A defining moment in our History, New Liebour is finished, Brown is a lame duck, it'll just be a slow and painful death.
England beating Australia as well.. it'll be my best bottle of Margaux tonight.
Unlike Cameron, who came out and spoke straight to camera on the news breaking, the Brown gobshite had to do a scripted 'interview' with his pet monkey, sorry Andrew Marr on the Downing Street 'set'.
What a loser. What's that? The sound of knives being sharpened? Mind your back, snot gobbler.
Don't think he'll last long after this lot.
What're the odds on him losing a 'No Confidence' vote? Maybe on an EU 'Treaty' referendum?
That'd really put the icing on the cake.
Somebody tell me which constituency Marr is MP of? Or is he a Government spokesman perhaps?
Brown is unbelievable. He can't even announce his own decisions.
He will now do his McCavity act. Disappear like the Cheshire Cat leaving the young inexperienced groupies that he surrounds himself with to take the blame.
Brown, you are a coward.
Challenge me!
Gordon Brown's a chicken!
Gordon Brown's a chicken!
La la la la, la la la la.
On the bright side, now New Labour will have to deal with their self-created economic and political mess, instead of an opposition party getting it in the neck to clear up New Labour mess.
The grand old queen of kircaldy
He had ten thousand spads
He marched them up to the brink of an election
But he called it off again
And when it was on we were spun
And when it was off we were spun
And all we know is the BBC lied thru their arse
Where's your Balls today, Gordon?
He may like it up 'im in one way but not this, the craven, mendacious, perverted snot-gobbler.
Gaffe after gaffe after gaffe.
What an incompetent shambles, no wonder Brown looks ill.
Labour need a fresh face and a new start, and come to think of it so does the country. If he limps on much longer Labour are finished.
The latest YouGov poll is putting the Tories 3% ahead of Labour.
I am jizzing in my pants, all over the desk, and up the walls.
So obvious, the man's a coward.
And to all you Aussies. Hah, hah.
Brown is obviously the New Yellow!
I can't help feeling that a nuclear stunt is in the offing to turn this around.
What odds on the Clucking Fist and Mrs Fist in a mercy dash to St Thomas's, all blues'n'twos and oxygen mask for the wee'un?
Brownies! I have to take my hat off to you, Guido, for that brilliant spark of inspiration.
It sickens me to think that this incompetent, cowardly bastard Brown and his team of arse-lickers plotted and schemed until they succeeded in getting rid of Tony Blair.
The useless incompetent prick Brown has now reduced the Labour Government to a laughing stock around the world and has opened the door to a Tory landslide at the next election.
Labour's only hope is to get rid of the pathetic Brown and get in someone of gravitas.
Forget the silly, gurning boy, Miliband. Jack Straw has to take over at some stage within the next two years othewise the Tories will keep us out of power for a generation.
Moves are already afoot within our constituency party to kick Brown out and replace him with someone of stature though it may take some time to achieve this.
The fact is, however, that Brown is now dead man walking, a spent force, a figure to be despised and ridiculed.
chicken gordon
make your own:

It's nothing to do with me. it's all Douglas Alexander's fault.
It wasn't me who pushed for an election it was that stupid prick Ed Miliband.
I'm not carrying the fuckin can for this. It wasn't me it was that dead-eyed scotch turd Dougie Alexander
You're both fuckin sacked
Alright, here's the truth. It was all Gordon's idea to have an election when we were 10 points ahead in the polls. But after he got caught out spinning over Iraq, the Tories had a successful conference, and we went behind in the polls, he shit his kecks and called it off. Now the two-faced, one-eyed turd is trying to get off with it by stitching us up.
Well, Gordon is finished. His only friend is that big-eared, arse-licking nonentity, Andy "Pandy" Marr.
Lab was Blair, nothing more. Without him we are lost. The Blairites always knew this... 'You'll miss him when he's gone' they warned.
It's all unravelling now. Fools!
Beown is no Tony Blair

High profile outing of Gaylord Gordon within 3 months I hear.
The Blairites WILL have their revenge.
(While he seemed to be doing well they may have decided to hold off. But now?)
Rumours circling that Tom Watson is about to resign from government again.
I bet Gordon is skulking in Freemasons' Hall meantime, now he's been outed.
Tom Watson's resigning again? It's like Groundhog Day. Are they going to try and airbrush Gordon out of recent history as well as Blair now too?
Skulking no
Skulling yes. Its an act that involves the erect male sex organ and the open eye socket of a human skull. Not too amusing for normal people, but these types find it strangely soothing. Stops them getting excited and start pocking out there tongues in their usual slippery way.
So I understand.
BTW
It seems that in the picture of G on Guido's previous thread, G has not been with his Lodge for sometime, and is feeling very agitated listless and a bit lonely.
I think a long holiday in the SUN for G, would do him good, he needs a little time to 'warm the blue blood' as they say.
Isn't BOTTLE rhyming slang - bottle and glass = ass (or arse, those London types do strangle the language) and doesn't it actually refer to an overwhelming terror accompanied by a loosening of the sphincter and a deluge of hot, wet, faeces cascading down the inside ot the trousers ? It does seem most improper for the gentlemen and slags of the media to be throwing this word around with such gay abandon. For Mr Brown to have "bottled it" is just another way of saying that the prime minister of the UK, considering holding a general election, instead, shit himself. Oh, yes, now I understand, in manurum veritas, as we say in Cracow.
Is copraphilia, yes ? Innit?
"The fact is, however, that Brown is now dead man walking,"
If that dosn't disqualify him from office what odds on Robin Cook as next Labour leader?
rednotdead
Ah yes Robin Cook the man that did a John Smith at an equally very convenient time for G and his side kick Blair.
See tuscantony.blogspot.com for "the Tale of Sir Gordon"
word verify: ujkeksg (soggy keks?)
on the plus side - when the credit crunch (and recession) really starts to bite next year at least the Tories can't be blamed for it.
"Forget the silly, gurning boy, Miliband. Jack Straw has to take over at some stage within the next two years othewise the Tories will keep us out of power for a generation."
Jack Straw? not a chance. he's too busy sucking up to the Islamists in his Blackburn constituency.
i'd bet on Alan Johnson. thoroughly English, working class background, no silver spoon. Populist vote winner in that man i'd say.

John, you havn't been paying attention, everything New Labour stuff up is the fault of something or other the Tories did when many voters were still in Primary School.Brown's big problem is that he can't blame the county's precarious financial situation on anyone else, his "reputation" was gained on the back of Ken Clark's acumen,so when the Blair hits the fan he can't blame anyone else....which for this government is like tightrope-walking without a safety net
I know someone in DFID and apparently Douglas Alexander hasn't done a stroke of work as International Development Secretary yet, he's been too busy planning this election we're now not going to have. Public funds well spent!
A bit late, what with an overgrown garden, the rugby result and a good DVD last night, I missed the news.
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, Ten years of hurt never stopped me dreaming.
Aneurin Bevin, Clem Atlee, Wilson, Challaghan, Foot, Kinnock, Smith, Blair and Brown.
You guys took one hell of a beating.
Call me Dave and the Tories stepped up the plate and gave you a masterclass in courage, tenacity and good popular policies. No spin, charisma and passion.
It's all over for Gordon. ALL OVER!
Labour, all of you really are fucking crap ... how much more do we have to endure?
He never did write the book - Courage. He got other people to do it, just like in his politically career. It's time everyone saw Gorgon for what he is - and that's definitely not a leader.
The pouting sphincter of Downing Street, Go On Down Brown, is the only unelected leader in the EU. At least the last (national) Socialist dictator, Hitler, stood for election, before utterly destroying his country. Oh, and another leftie, Stalin, was also elected with similar results.
