Lunch with Thatcher
Just got back from lunch. On the table next to me was a denim clad Carol Thatcher. Obviously Guido listened in to her conversation. She was drinking rosé with a younger Latino, possibly South American guy, bemoaning the tax man. "No the money in Switzerland is in my own name" was the tone of the conversation. Out of respect for her mother and a shared loathing for the Inland Revenue, Guido will leave it at that. She definitely has no luck with men - she split the bill...

His name wasn't Reinaldo was it ?
In which case, I'd be careful what I say...
How do I get money in Switzerland? Any advice gratefully received.
I think what you meant was "at the table next to me.."
"on the table next to me" conjures mind-boggling visions distressing to those of a delicate disposition.
This is more like it Guido, next mission, should you choose to accept it, is to disguise yourself as a rent boy and go for the ultimate scoop
The "ultimate scoop" of what?
She having all that money in Switzerland, I can't understand why he should pay the bill. She's probably wealthier.
To me Carol has always seemed a really game girl, a GSOH sport; had she been an only child, unhampered by her brother, she'd have already made her fortune and added greatly to the gaiety of the nation.

Why do you need to be a rentboy to get a scoop of Rum & Raisin??
Of course, Guido, as wankers like you would say 'Only the little people pay taxes'. Arsehole.
I was at a table on the other side of Carole and I definitely heard her say: "Mummy's in Switzerland and she's on the game".
I'm not even a Tory and I wouldn't have revealed what I overheard Carole Thatcher say. Why would you?
"A shared loathning for the Inland Revenue" I do hope you don't do anything as slimy as Thatcher and all those bastards who live here but think they are better than the rest of us in needing to pay their taxes.
