If the collar fits... thought Brown may need a little policy liposuction on his flabby neck/big government tendencies... is that an analogy too far?

Other then that, I agree with every word except the bit about the EU becoming like the USSR. Personally, although in many ways its a mute point, the EU is all but an incarnation of something closer to Hitlers heart.
I have more bad news. The good thing for us about communism is that it was shown to not work in anyway whatsoever and on any level.
However National Socialism was NOT shown to not work because of the combined power of American Russian and Allied forces.
You cant bomb an ideology to death and expect it to just go away because the BBC keeps telling us it has. By giving us the impression that all Nazis still walkaround in jack-boots goose-stepping.
