Brown's "Lemming Bounce" Confirmed

The Indy headline says it all - Brown's 'bounce' fails to materialise as Tories take five-point lead. The somewhat deranged voices who think Brown will be the electoral saviour of the Labour party will be terribly disappointed.

Guido predicted the Lemming effect - they are going to miss three times election winning Blair when he is gone. Wait and see...

Apparently we are getting a political collossus as PM, a man of unique political vision and insight, a intellectual giant amongst dwarves etc etc.

The same political giant who poured money into unreformed public services to little effect, most of which has been used on increased salaries. The same collossus who created Tax Credits as his mechanism for redistribution, but implemented it so imcompetently that he has caused real hardship amongst the poorest members of society yet pays out to families earning £60,000pa (Note: Vote Labour to keep the cash...). The same political visionary that massively ramped up PFI investments, but structured them in such a way as to give massive profits to private sector partners and moving massive public sector debts off-balance-sheet Enron style, which will have to be repaid over years. And finally the financial wizard who flogged off our gold at the bottom of the market.

He's such a political master, he and his record will be an invaluable political asset....to the Tories!

Fantastic. Now what will Broon's Goons do? I can see votes for 16 year olds as a way out of the demographic nightmare of having older folk with memories of Broon's fuck-ups. After all teenagers are not interested in pensions, are they?

Just watch the cunt wriggle. Expect the First 100 fuck-ups to promote the one party state of New Slavour.

Dear Uncle Sam - Broon must have known something about BAE - haul the bastard in.

Surely the legal challenge group idea you floated a few weeks ago woulod be ideal for the EU treaty issue. How could the blatant lies being told by bliar pass muster in a court of law? His performance yesterday was as criminal as ever seen by a british politician.

come on

Just watch Broon disappear now that action is required post floods .

Any difficult questions about flood defences- ask someone else , the Bogeyman is too important to deal with those!

What a prize c**t.

I wonder what Broon thinks of Tone getting a nice little earner for the Yanks as an envoy for them?

George: "Yo Tone, you are really interested in the middle east, whereas I could not give a **** ?"

Tone: "Oh yes o master", can I lick your boots?

George: "Well you just scamper off and make gestures that you are doing something about it. It'll give me time to do something more interesting"

Did anyone read the " personal" interview with the Fist yesterday? Blethering on in an attempt to seem normal cf season ticket holder, chuckle chuckle - YEECCHHH!
BTW, I seem to remember there was a martial arts film called Fist of Fury.I don't see Broon like that at all - rather more like the cat in Shrek, which is extremely fierce - except when he is being a coward, at which point he become endearing and pathetic

Guido you're making yourself seem a bit silly these days.

Surely the correct analysis is that the polls are all over the place, & the probable reality is that the electorate are undecided as to whether Brown is the right man.
What will you say when the sunday polls find Brown well ahead?

Get exercised over this in 6 months, if Labour are 5 points behind then, we may indeed be on for a hung Parliament.

I suspect however it will all be over in six/nine months, Labour will be firmly ahead, enough to wipe out the 20 odd seats they are losing under boundary changes, & leader number 47 will be required for the Tories.

You qualify with 'wait and see', but its obvious what your firm belief is.

I am hoping desperately charges are brought in the Cash for Honours enquiry.
However if they not why would the average joe schmo need to bother himself further with this site?
Happily all the noises are that two people are in the frame good n' proper.

Remind me again why Cameron is actually going to be a good Conservative Party leader?

History will judge DC and the henrietta's and toby's he surrounds himself with made a huge strategic mistake when they allowed the political vacuum of Jan '07-June '07, to pass without setting out their vision.
From now until October the Conservatives will be seen merely reacting to events and pronouncements.

32 points in the polls is beckoning with all its predictable familiarity.

If the Conservatives dont achieve a hung parliament in '09, expect a faction to begin a new party.

I ad that currie bint once

Complete Pants, John Major's pants!
One, very unrepresentative poll, gave Brown a lead at the weekend, almost every other poll has given Cameron a healthy lead since October and even now, after weeks of Brownite propaganda in the MSM, he is still 5 points behind. Do you think the bad news will stop for this shower? Gordon is synonomous with the last ten years, almost as much as Blair. The difference is, he hasn't got the personality to bullshit his way through it, like Blair. Cameron is rightly pacing the Tories, through what will probably be a 5 year parliament.

If Brown thinks the best way to commence his Premiership is to endorse and support Bliars broken promise to hold a referendum on the EU Constitution, ooops sorry TREATY - then he is a fool.

The British people are getting fed up with being treated as figures of contempt, fit only to be ignored and overtaxed!

It is our country after all.

A bit naive I fear, modern politics is all about getting up on the greasy pole, clinging on for as long as possible, and taking as much out of the system in pay, perks, and pensions as you can.

Forget about any belief that they are working for you!

But didn't NULab claim they were going to be whiter that white, purer than pure, and set new standards for behaviour in Public Office?

I hope to see a national poster camgaign with Brown as MacBeth or Richard iii (Friday's caption contest).

Did Broon ever consider how the NuLab funds were being raised, or was he just overseeing ruining the country and voters' pensions?

Incidently isn't Broon responsibile for not providing funds for properly functioning kit - Landrovers, SA80 rifles/Appaches/Nimrods etc in Iraq/Afganistan/etc.

Could there be anyone more delectable than Miss Scott?, fabulous, cracking, superfine, beautiful figure, extremely mega-cute face, and a big brain.
I wonder if she's into watersports

When we have some sort of disaster like the flooding the troops are usually called in to sort it out. Brown is going to have to explain to all those homeless sodden Yorkshiremen that Tony's sent the Royal Engineers to Iraq so UK citizens will just have to put up with four foot water levels and no gas and electricity in their houses.

Wait until the forthcoming Channel 4 Dispatches programme reveals more, hitherto unseen, lies and sleaze pertaining to Brown.

He will be electoral toast after that.

Some people still seem to think that there will be a next election.

If this European Constitution gets ratified, then the idea of elections, letting the people decide, will to our new European masters become an outdated burden to be done away with.

A 'new kind of politics' I seem to recall Brown calling it.

Just see how everything centres around 2009.
The Constitution.
The installation of European President.
The installation of European foreign minister.
The ID Cards
The elevation of the Regional Governments.
The Data sharing.
The Interpol access to our Police databases.
The Europe wide health record data sharing.

All are due for completion by 2009.

Just before a UK general election, and before the European Parliamenary Elections.

Assuming any certainty of a Tory win based on a PM's unpopular policies is pretty precarious, just ask Neil Kinnock (who also had lots of favourable survey results prior to the election). Moral is, if the opposition are not appealing enough, it almost doesn't matter how bad a job the government of the day are doing, they will likely get re-elected. This is why so many politicians continue to use "dirty/smear campaigns" as its a more effective way of reducing votes for the opposition.
But what would I know.....

Off topic but the FT running a story about foreign holdings of US treasuries. Why doe sthe UK appear to own 100bn+ of these toxic instruments?

The USD has been collpasing for ages, interest rates are destined to go higher in the US and these bonds have lost anywhere between 2 and 8% in the last month or so (depending on maturity).

another case of our economic genius Mr Brown at work????

Anyone see that arse licking Nick Robinson having a cosy chat with Brown last night. The sucking up to this dysfunctional, lying, cheating, sexually repressed PM in waiting is truly appalling.

When is someone, anyone, going to ask him relevant direct questions about his disastrous decisions made when he was Chancellor?

It seems these so called journalists inhabit a different World to the rest of us.

Funny how as a socialist you get so turned on by a programme which delights in the excitement of free market commerce and enterprise. However, although a tory, I have to admit that the smash and grab socialism of Dale's Supermarket Sweep used to leave my knob sore as hell.

Charges in the 'cash for labour', sometimes called the 'cash for honours' affair were said to be deferred until Blair steps down.

As a Middle East envoy he won't actually step down.

Unfortunately he will never appear in court, nor will his accomplices. How can he when one of his accomplices is the new PM?
So please don't hold your breath, don't expect justice. This is the real world.

Nick Robinson lost the right to call himself a journalist some considerable time ago.

The only thing more sickening than watching Nick Robinson interviewing Brown is when another BBC 'journalist' pulls out all the 'originality' stops and interviews.....Nick Robinson.

Gordimmo has been duped yet again after ten years of waiting. As much as I hate Bliar, you have to admire his skill at handing over the reigns just before it all goes horribly wrong. Brown is going to have about one minute of glory and then realise it has all turned to shit.

Ha ha ha

Quite amusing. A single dodgy poll gave the twat the impression he was popular and should call an early erection. Suddenly the Indy pulls out a poll saying, basically "No! Don't do it! Actually you'd lose!". Just goes to show the dangers of faking poll results.

Anyway, the fat twat hasn't actually done anything yet - he's still in his honeymoon period. Wait till he's embarassing the nation right left and centre.

Quentin Davies is against ID Cards; against foundation hospitals; against Labour's terror laws; against the fox hunting ban; and against gay rights. How does that qualify him as a Labour MP?

It is curious timing. But if McCharisma-Free Broon can pull off stunts like this, Camoron is going to have his work cut out dealing with McStalin's NuLab machine.

Do Labour really not realise how dreadful Gordon Brown is? Every time he appears on TV he gives the country the creeps.

Anonymous said...

The trouble is Gordon has all the power. The Tories should spend more time reminding the electorate of Browns bad mistakes by being a REAL OPPOSITION and not just people looking to win the election. I seem to remember before Labour won in 1997 that they were a pretty good opposition and they built up a momentum.

Cameron has some good ideas but a few more blows on these criminals would be a good idea. Otherwise Brown looks stronger. Cameron needs someone really strong as Treasury shadow as well as people worry about the money in their pockets and the Tories need to reassure them on this.

There are so many open goals why aren't the Tories going for them?
