Mike Smithson over at PoliticalBetting.com alerts us to fact that Wiliam Hill have opened a book on Ming going before the General Election. His position is clearly weakened by the squeeze suffered by the LibDems nationally. The very real possibility of the LibDems finding themselves near-bankrupted by the necessity of paying back the millions from their fraudster backer adds to the pressure. He could very easily suffer health problems that force him to stand down. Such as a knife protruding from his back...

When you look at the state of the Labour and Libdem leaderships you have to feel a bit sorry for them but not a lot.
As with everything else you need competent and ruthless judgement and implementation, and you only get that from the tories.
I just don't think that either the Labour or Libdem parties have the bottle to sort out their leadership issues with the long term good of their party being No 1 priority instead of the personal ambitions of the "ones who think they have earned a divine right to the crown".
I really believe that some in the Labour party think that it has to be Brown because "can you imagine the explosion if he does not get it", with visions of political Armageddon within the party from him if he is thwarted.

There is a real bash of wits on this subject over on Liberal Democat voice with bloggers taunted by Tory Lady , with libs agreeing that Ming should go.
I know the Lib Dims had a few rent-boy associated problems and general sexual deviancy issues with the front-runners, during their last leadership race, but picking Clive Dunne (or John Laurie might be more apt!) to be their leader seemed a ridiculous move.
