GuyNews : Blair's Speech

After his barnstorming party conference speech maybe Guido's expectations were too high. A whimper rather than a bang?

The speech he should have given is on GuyNews.TV.

He's finally realised that his legacy will not be 'education education education' but 'Iraq Iraq Iraq'..

Worse than that, he has singularly failed to 'Keep Gordon Out'..

Anonymous said...

It was what I expected... his most loyal sycophants surrounding him like a herd of applauding seals. I wish he'd become Archbishop of Canterbury instead of PM. I do hope that our next PM will be an atheist.

Tamburlaine said...

At least he mentioned Iraq. A couple of hundred thousand civilians dead in Iraq/Afghanistan, but that's ok because Tony, hand on his heart, thought it was the right thing to do. Besides this is the greatest country around and we are leaders, not followers, so the Middle East should step into line...

Ed said...

What made him give up the fight against Gordon? We're f*cked now.

George Street said...

Blair to resign? Golly, that's a surprise. My money's on that nice Mr Prescott as next PM. What do you lot think?

Julian H said...

"What made him give up the fight against Gordon?"

No alternative candidate being prepared to stand.

Do you follow politics?

Earnest N. Utters said...

as I said under the other thread, Blair's speech reminded of Wilde's remark about the death of Little Nell: it would take a heart of stone not to laugh.

I was hoping he'd do a 'SurAllen' and say something like 'Brown, you're fired!' -- that would have been interesting.

Regrets I've had a few, but then again too few to mention...

Should have had Sid Vicious playing in the back ground as he got out a gun and shot some Iraqi's.

What an inheritance for Mr Charisma-Free. Rising interest rates, shambolic tax collection, disaffected muslim yoofs, increasing unemployment, no clear strategy for Iraq, Iran or North Korea.

No wonder that miserable bugger Broon looked so clapped out and puffy faced yesterday, and no wonder noone sighted him in public from Thursday to Wednesday?

They've all followed Blair to Narnia, Martha Kearney's Radio 4 hagiography is doing a classic soft interrogation of the Blair years, allowing the dead scientist involved tabloid pornographer about 4 times the airtime of Hague or Kennedy (apparently sober but has nothing sensible or intelligent to say) and just posing the usual criticisms in order for them to be rebutted, or 'debunked' as the BBC probably see it.

And where was the joke usually on the cover of Private Eye this week?

Ten more years and then some. said...

Let me get this right then, last week you said Reid would be standing against Gordon and that proved to be incorrect.A couple of days ago You said Blair would not resign but stay, wrong again then. You did however make a complete arse of yourself on the telly, and your posters are a foul mouthed bunch of yobs who give not a fig about politics they just drop in to throw obscenities at one another.Do you see where I am going with this Guido ? I believe you are in the wrong job, perhaps a career in waste management would be more in keeping with your past performance. The new wheeled bins make the job much more attractive I'm told, and the tips at Christmas provide the icing on the cake.No rush but give it some thought, time for a change perhaps, time to move on ?

So British "democracy" allows our next Prime Minister a Coronation eh?

The man who has encouraged a debt-fuelled boom which is leading to inevitable recession and financial misery for millions just walks into the job he has coveted for years.

No wonder millions of decent hard-working Britons are leaving the country in despair and disgust while millions from the corrupt, decaying, poverty-stricken third-world queue to get in.

Our degenerate, decaying, debt-soaked, banana republic will soon be a home from home for those millions of recent arrivals.

BTW Don't forget the demo against Brown in Brighton this Sunday at 2.30pm

Do the people of Sedgefield realise they are laughed at throughout the land. Has a constituency EVER contained such a huge number of suck up sychophants. The way they drool over OUR TONE makes for a vomitous sight. On Sky news even the local vicar was sticking up for bombing the hell out of Iraq!!!

Thankfully on June 26, the place will sink back to oblivion, but at least they can say they lapped up the attention for all its worth.

Of course if you want a more rounded view of what UK people think of Blair, rather than ask a bunch of pit village clones check out BBC have your say, click most recommended then get a cuppa and read page after page after page of scathing opinion on his 'legacy'.

The most interesting feature of modern theatre is the audience. Indeed the modern play is all about the audience.

For how long has the Sedgefield Labour Party been preparing for this? Yet the media portray the events as somehow newsworthy, somehow spontaneous.

How else could Blair engineer enthusiastic applause from "ordinary people", on cue for the Corporate Media.

"Poll shows he will leave with voters' respect" says the Guardian.

It's all a montage for the suckers.

See on the BBC website Andrew Roberts has compared Bliar with Churchill as a war leader ('Some chicken, some neck' springs to mind) and goes on: 'In Britain a vicious and disgraceful campaign began, attempting, on the flimsiest of evidence taken wildly out of context, to accuse Blair of deliberately lying in order to take the country to war.' Well, blow me.

You have to admire the way Tony Blair, despite having spent 10 years fucking up both this country and the rest of the world, on Tuesday, still managed to derive such intense pleasure from his success in aiding the Northern Ireland peace process - although this peace is more probably attributable to the fact that, on beholding the monumental performance of new-boys Al Quaida on 9/11, the IRA realized they were getting a bit old for the 'terrorism' game and decided to pack up shop in order to enjoy retirement.

He will always be remembered as a truly optimistic murdering CUNT of the first order.

Blair doesn't give a shit about the people in Ireland. The fact is that Ireland remains the greatest bone of contention between the United States of America and the United Kingdom.

"Solving the conflict" was the prerequisite to a de facto merging of the two.
