Traffic Surprise
Two surprises in fact - last month saw an unprecedented dip in traffic to this blog. Excluding the summer and Christmas holidays (when Guido stops posting) this blog has had a year-on-year, month-on-month trend of rising audience numbers. Today sees the end of that trend. Traffic dipped some 20% down to a mere 368,401 page-views, below even January's 404,427 page-views. Guido presumes that last month's website re-design and re-location of the hosting from 5thNovember.blogspot.com to www.Order-Order.com was a factor.
The second surprise was that Tom Watson MP has replaced Iain Dale as the top referring website, an indication that perhaps his traffic is either eclipsing Iain's or that he writes about Guido more. Hard to say.

Im not surprised they're coming from Tom "Brown's fuckwit" Watson's blog. You've been getting quite a few Brownite trolls on here recently. A sign that Brown and his stooges are starting to shit themselves.
Perhaps Gay Gordo's anonymongs would like to explain why their master always goes into hiding whenever there's a tricky situation, like the Iranian hostages for instance.
Brown poses as PM-in-waiting but acts like the hostage situation is nothing to do with him and instead goes off to hector a load of kids in a TV studio.
Not only is he a crook, a spiv, and a charlatan, but he's also a coward.
Not Prime Ministerial material at all.
Gordon Brown is today exposed as a conman who is prepared to wreck the future financial security of Britain in order to buy his way into the Prime Ministers job.
How long are we prepared to tolerate our economy being trashed to feed one man's obsessive political ambitions?

Has Gordon Brown got any backbone at all? He hasn't demonstrated any to me in his ten years at the top of politics. Perhaps his acolytes could post us some real examples - try and actually win us over about why the man is fit for the job, despite a mountain of evidence to the contrary.

The redesign of iaindale means it is much harder to find the link to Guido (or anyone else) and now takes two clicks not one, unless I have missed something

page views down, mmm. Guido, I've had some very irksome connection problems that have preveneted me tuning in every day, but I think that might not be the full reason for the fall in numbers.
I reckon the reason might be fewer pics of political totty.

Switch over relocation maybe lost 50% of a day I guess- & therewas another day when an error message kept coming up about access - ongoing don't think it effects as I'm a lazy sod & Bookmark is still to 5th etc & still gets through.

Tim Ireland's blog's transcript of Newsnight shows it actually went downhill when Guido successfully put Michael 'Liar' Shyte on the spot about Prescott, Paxman then immediately weighed in as his accomplice with the 'you make things up because you're not worth suing' line and so it went straight to 2 against 1 playground mudslinging by Paxo and Shyte disguised as debate. Good old BBC.
The idea that even the less corrupt areas of the 'professional journalist' MSM produces accurate reports on most topics is ridiculous, always has been and always will be.

Get a listing on Drudgereport.. he drives a lot of traffic to politcal blogs. Register your feeds with syndicators.. there are dozens that will drive traffic..

Roy, as an ex-editor of the Mirror ;-) and someone close to the Party I'm sure you remember those rather fuzzy photocopies doing the rounds of some local Labour Party branches (Reading for instance) back in the late 80's of photos of someone alleged to be Brown but too unclear to make out, in a nappy on a rocking horse. There were other figures in the pics aswell but too smudged to clearly discern who they were though we had an idea. We all had a good laugh at em though and believed it must have involved some senior party figures.

I agree with Mike - up to a point. I've been not been at Guido's blog so often in the past month or so because the obscene comments and swearing have got out of hand - as have the unnecessarily aggressive comments of some people. I'm not talking about every day Anglo Saxon swear words which are part of our national culture, I mean the really obscene stuff.
