Michael White is a twat, it's a simple as that.
Guido might have come across as a bit on an idiot on NEwsnight, granted.
But it was nothing compared to Michael White's performance. To steal the Liberal Demoprats' description of the PM today, it was just 'wrong and simplistic'.

"Sir" Michael White says that bloggers don't check their facts and are cavalier with the truth. This is the same Michael White, I presume, who on April 3 wrote a "Guardian" article defending Gordon Brown against charges of pension grabbing in which he stated that Equitable Life had gone bust. The next day "The Guardian" printed a correction that Equitable Life had closed to new business but was still trading.
It's good to see that "Sir" Michael practices such high standards of checking his facts, unlike bloggers.

I've said it before, and I'll probably say it again, but a chap such as Mr White who punches Alistair Campbell deserves at least some respect.

For the unenlightened among us, could you tell us why that prophesy of house-price-crash-doom is any different to the crash-predictions we've been having for years on the subject?

The UK now has a huge debt fuelled house price bubble massively out of sync with all long term economic fundamentals. That bubble has grown over the past 5 years, before that prices were more in line with incomes.
Prices are already crashing in the US but the figures suggest it's going to be much worse over here.

He told the TV interviewer that he didn't know anything about the naval hostages selling their stories to the papers until Sunday.
That has now revealed to be a lie. The news was all over the media on Friday, so is Blair seriously saying he was the only person in Britain who hadn't heard it?

Mike, you believe you're entitled to your own opinion and of course that's right and fair. However you are clearly a socialist and therefore I suspect you also believe that your are entitled without asking to take my hard earned (not inherited) cashmoney which is neither right nor fair. I may or may not be funny, but at least I pay my own way and dip my hand into my own pocket when something needs doing. Name a socialist policy that proscribes that philosophy, my young padawan.
