Police Keeping Close Watch on Levy

There has been some speculation that the CPS could place charges as soon as June, which will coincide nicely with the Blair-Brown handover and the publication of the follow-up Big Red Book of New Labour Sleaze. Guido is also working on another book, with the working title "The Trial of Lord Levy", for publication, on the advice of lawyers, after the verdict.

While researching the latter book it has come to Guido's notice that, somewhat bizarrely for a man on police bail, whenever Sleazy Levy is in public he can invariably be seen being kept under the watchful eye of the Metropolitan Police. Guido understands that they are for his personal protection, not surveillance.

Guido never knew it could be so dangerous in leafy Mill Hill...

What I still can't get my head round is why such a charismatic and succesful man would want to be associated with Blair and his band of dodgy fuckwits.

Yes ! Yes ! Yes ! This is better than morning sex ! This is what the people want !!! Encore...Encore !!

Wonderful stuff, Mr Fawkes...

One imagines that the noble Lord has a few friends who can look after his interests. Remind me, whatever happened to the gangsters who attacked and robbed him a few years ago?

javelin said...

Any photos of (anonymised) plod "protecting" Levy from those people who want to see him "done in" before the trial?

Anonymous said...

My memory is very fuzzy - remind me some more..

Just out of interest, Guido, don't those imbecile fuckwits at the ADL ever try to curb your free speech ?

Keep up the good work..

Don't be so naive, who would want to "XPD" Levy. (Any suggestions on foolscap in small print).
No, the rozzers are there to make sure the little scrote doesn't do a runner for the Israeli embassy and seek asylum, or bunk off to Tel Aviv and avoid extradition.
Shadowing in such fashion is an old KGB trick, intimidatory and one hopes that the victim will do a full canary.

Lord Levy and his wife attacked by 3 robbers at home. Tied up and covered with bleach. Safe was emptied, I think. Very, very traumatic for his Lordship and good lady wife. Never heard of any arrests - were there any?

mitch said...

Preventing him leaving the country would be very easily enforced by the authorities at the airport or wherever. I don't think the police need to physically stare at him to acheive the same.

In any case, has he actually been told not to leave? If not, then he's free to travel.

Ed said...

As much as I hate these twats, I'd rather the police would deal with the people who sell drugs in my stairwell.

Anonymous said...

I can imagine a fictional account of the dodgy lord's friends summarily dealing with the miscreants with the bleach.

Tel Aviv rules, anyone?

Anonymous said...

perhaps they are protecting him because he is no10's middle east envoy and therefore an possible terrorist target.

just a thought.

you tinfoil hat wearing freaks.

ed [11.10] AM. Some policemen take the same view, i.e. they would rather be dealing with "real" villains than seedy political groupies.

But I prefer them to concentrate on Levy & Co.

I am sure the noble Lord has some very efficient friends, when the need arises.

machiavelli said...

Oh yes, it can...

anon 11.19 Bit difficult to do much envoying in the Middle East if you have had your passport taken....

Former envoy, perhaps? If so, what - your saying he gets police protection for life?

Whiffler said...

Prison Service protection for lfe, one hopes

Anonymous said...

Is is to protect him from "friends". Heaven forbid that he should "swallow" 20 co-proxamol and only have the remains of 1/2 a tablet in his stomach.

He should also avoid walks in the country for a while.

Wonder if there's any Olympics or Australian connection?

Is the suggestion here that there may be a Middle East dimension to the peerages biz?

Guido, May be about time to add a 'Where's Levy' google-map feature to the website..?

I think the Met would be failing in their job if he doesn't have protection. I predict that he will be charged during May, spills his guts and brings the whole fucking lot down. He is a potential supergrass, with all that entails. Why else should interviewing Blair under caution be such a small deal.

La La La - fat lady warming up.

Don't worry yourself with those lawyer blokes Guido. Publish now and be buggered. Everyone with a halfpenny amount of sense knows that the blighter's as guilty as sin. The only ? is will he sing or wont he. If he don't run away before the trial, he'll sing for sure. Little cosher grub in the scrubs I'm told.

As our nicks are well supplied with devotees of the Islamic faith , no doubt Blairs middle eastern envoy will be assured of warm welcome on the wings.
Kosher food is available as is halal , the muzzies get decent curries , not sure if gefiltte fish and matzo soup is on the menu though.

Yep, Levy to serve his time in the jihadic wing of Belmarsh ... he should fit in with all the Koran quoting heroin dealers. And his jeans are nowhere near as good as when I was a lad. That's what I like Guido ... a bit of informed debate ... but would you buy a used peerage from this man?

"So, to borrow the phrase Tony Blair used about himself during the first row over New Labour's funding, I regard Lord Levy as 'a pretty straight sort of guy'." -- Dominic Lawson, The Daily Mail, 17th July 2006.

We were greeted by Jane Hogarth and taken to meet Lord Levy. He was like an animated cartoon, with large gestures and an overbearing personality. ... Lord Levy was taking a call when the Prime Minister walked over to him and started to speak. Lord Levy held up his hand and said, "Not now, Tony," and went back to his phone call. The Prime Minister turned to walk away and Lord Levy said, "Tony, wait, I need to speak to you."

I thought, "My God, what a way to talk to a Prime Minister." But Mr Blair stood there like a puppet on a string while Levy continued his phone call for at least a couple of minutes. Then he turned to the Prime Minister without apology for keeping him waiting and launched into a conversation about the importance of the evening. Here was the leader of your Government being treated like a child. Jane Hogarth, Lord Levy and Tony Blair all acted like this was normal. -- The Daily Mail, 24th March 2007.

Politics is just like a merry-go-round
With all the fun in the air
One day I'm feeling down on the ground
Then I'm up in the air
Are you leading me on?
Tomorrow will you be gone?

I wonder if one day that, you'll say that, you care
If you love me madly, I'll gladly, be there
Like a puppet on a string

I may win on the roundabout
Then I'll lose on the swings
In or out, there is never a doubt
Just who's pulling the strings
I'm all tied up to you
But where's it leading me to?

I wonder if one day that, you'll say that, you care
If you say you love me madly, I'll gladly, be there
Like a puppet on a string

Like a puppet on a..... string.

I must apologize for mike's boring post as 'a gathering of pensioner impersonators', the doctor said he's a sociopath, every day he dribbles with excitement at the prospect of finding a website he doesn't like and abusing people, he does get so lonely and he says it's the only way he can get an erection, mind you when the new Mental Health Bill goes through we'll have to keep him sedated and locked in a cage. Anyway sorry everyone!

Not quite sure which calendar you are operating to but there appears to be a major accuracy deficiency in YOUR post.

I would rest more than your case.

Actually, it seems you are correct for once. Calling Guido a liar for skim reading a Google alert that arrived (late) this morning seems a little harsh.

A correction will be made.

You are still a granny killer, that can't be corrected so easily.
