"Oh Fuck, Levy Has Asked Me To Lie For Him"
That is the quote that the Beeb is too frit to broadcast.
Coincidentally, Guido is speaking tomorrow at midday at the Westminster Media Forum's Privacy, convergence and content regulation conference sponsored by the British Broadcasting Corporation and Clifford Chance.
So if the Attorney General does want to serve an injunction, you know where to find Guido.
See Iain Dale for more.

At last, a successor to "Oh Fuck, Not Health".
Wow. Can it really be that the Blairite project is breaking up on re-entry the the earth's atmosphere?
This could really be one massive meltdown....
This time though the strange glow in the sky will not be, as somebody once put it, 'a new dawn...'
""Oh Fuck, Levy Has Asked Me To Lie Down For Him"
It could have been worse,
You must be relieved to see they've not selected the graveyard slot for you Guido. Sorry I'll be missing it.
Old and knacked and was unsure about this WWW thingy but after months reading you and Iain..
IT WAS WORTH IT!!!
Keep up the good work!!
What will you be wearing and how will we recognise you?
"That's the quote that the Beeb is too frit to broadcast."
Last week you were complaining that the Beeb was compromising a 'fair trial' by bringing stuff into the public domain which the police were asking to keep quiet.
Make your fucking mind up...
Hitch, on the subject of dodgy apparel, your sexuality can no longer be questioned....viz 'There's only two things come out of Texas, steers and queers, and I don't see any horns on you.'
I have never taken wood from behind or at any other angle and I dont intend to start now.
Apparently Yates is writing a letter to the Public Administration Select Committee with an update on the investigation.
I look forward to reading various snippets over the weekend in the papers!
Not so critical of CC now then?
Hang on... 'the papers' are saying that the police are sending their file to the CPS within the next 233k or so "to stop (any more) leaks".
Is this the leak before the storm?
Thought the police were sending their files to the Commons committee first, in order that Goldsmith can be cross-checked to ensure no compromising of the CPS. According to Yates in yesterday's Telegraph article he knows there hasn't been any big leaks because of the scale of the enquiry.
Sounds like the way I talk to my boss all the time.
PS, whenever one encounters the disgusting Shaun Woodward, as it appears you may tomorrow, I find it is always useful to have Sean Gabb's article about this revolting man to hand. Hope you and Ms Wright can put the bastard back under the stone he slimed his way out from.
Guido you seem to have lost a "Lord" somewhere.
I hope this doesn't mean he has already set off on his travels!
You got the punctuation wrong!!!!
"Oh Fuck! Levy Has Asked Me. To Lie For Him."
Still she can get him for sexual harrassment at work now.
Julian
did you enjoy the woodward
"stay in the closet" line as much as I did?
of course you did (+:
His brother is a six foot six tall transexual (this is true) I have respect for her, at least she is honest and has been prepared to come out of her particular closet.
Good news for Levy!
Up until now it seemed as if Turner had composed some sort of semi-legal document, calmly and thoughtfully laying out her concerns about Levy asking her to 'shape' her evidence to the police. Now, with reference to the expletive and tone of the comment, it would appear that this 'document' is some sort of off-the-cuff scribbled note(?) or diary type entry(?).
If this is the heart of the police case then, frankly, they don't have a case.
SNP wot done it!!
that'll have the ill informed Mikey White of the Groaniard blowing transistors:-)
Knob-Jockey @ 9:14 - 'fraid not:
BBC: "It also emerged on Monday that the document is several pages long and contains more information that is of interest to the police than that which has already been broadcast by the BBC."
I think it more likely it was in the "drafts" folder of her email system where it was copied up onto the server, but never sent
Any graduate or drinker knows that "Oh Fuck" is strictly for the spoken word only. Swearing in prose never works.
Anonymong @ 8.15: Bang on, sir (or madam).
I would pay money to see Lembit Opik and Chris "Help Me Rhondda" "Underpants" Bryant talking publicly about "privacy in the digital age".
mitch 9:27
It still sounds more like, maybe, a running commentary/diary of events once the investigation had been declared rather than a document prepared with her lawyers.
No, what it looks like, is someone transcribing a tape recording.:-)
me
"Oh ****, Lord **** has asked me to lie for him. I'm happy to oblige, of course, but we must all sing from the same hymn sheet. It's no use saying he never came to any of the meetings. They'll never believe that. Let's say he did come, but only to give advice, and character references. That's sort of true, because we did spend a lot of time asking how much more money we could screw out of them."
People do tend to talk to a diary as they would talk out loud to a person.
""Oh ****, Lord **** has asked me to lie for him,"
Oh Jonathan, Lord Levy has asked me to lie for him, just as we thought we would. Silly me, I almost forgot to mention it. For goodness sake don't tell Tony. He's in deep enough as it is..."
etc etc for several pages
There is a distinct smell of cordite in the air...
So Guido, do you reckon that the book's been closed on LL being in chokey by this time next year?
Mitch @9:34 - 'Swearing in prose never works.' Oooh, yes it does. I refer you to the Devil's Kitchen.
Here's what Levy's rabbi said:
'The Anglo-Jewish community takes great pride in such beacons as Lord Levy and continues to stand behind him with full support. I have every confidence in his integrity and believe wholeheartedly that he will prevail.'
Shoulda looked before you leapt, Rabbi.
Guido is surely joking. It seems unlikely that Ruth Turner would write that quote in a document.
You haven't got an exclusive so stop pretending you have.
Bit of a damp squib.
Any guesses how many people, in and around downing street, have been saying "oh fuck".
Guido
For all the suspect drunken drug induced perversions and other highly questionable things you have done in your life Quido. This has to be the one that must take you compleatly behond the pale.
Dont you dare even take a free cup of tea from those mad authoritarian, blood sucking, double speaking, Poll taxing, vermin. Or you will go straight to hell with the entire BBC staff for company.
However if one visit to hell, in two exsistences, is not enough for you Fawkes, then please feel free to drink them right out of Horlicks.
mideastenvoi 11.04 PM.
Shoulda but didna. Oy!
The Hitch said...
What will you be wearing and how will we recognise you?
The Hitch also said...
I hope it's that frilly number with the easy access.
How much cash are you getting from your bitch ho mutter maggie T then guido? It's not like a rightwing knob jockey can survive on your poxy ads alone it is.
Huge pong of burnt goose on this site.
Relax Guido, too fowl to be yours!!!.
PS.
Have you got an invite to the wedding of the year?
I am looking forward to more handbags at dawn twixt Gordo and Dave the Hood.
Guido,
you do appreciate that the conference is all about gagging bloggers! don't you?
If he gets to suck cock he'll go
Good news for Levy!
If this is good news, then he really must be in the shit.
burp:)))))
julian - great article about shaun the sheep... was it you who 'helped' benedict white with his expose, or was that a different julian ?
I'm still not sure why this document had to be kept secret. The BBC are reporting:
"They (the police) were worried that the individuals could have constructed or co-ordinated a response. "
But Turner wrote the document so knows what's in it. If they wanted to co-ordinate a response they already know enough to do so. Why does the document being public make that easier?
Scratch and Sniff uuummm tasty. Munch Munch Burp 0)))
@bruce: "Guido is surely joking. It seems unlikely that Ruth Turner would write that quote in a document.
You haven't got an exclusive so stop pretending you have."
It seems you are wrong on both counts. The Daily Mail today is reporting just such a story in some detail so it seems that Guido scooped the whole of the MSM (although sadly he didn't go into as much detail as the Mail's delicicious story)
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=441860&in_page_id=1770
The BBC seems to have got itself confused over their stock phrase "all involved deny any wrongdoing".
Last week it was also saying "no charges have been brought, no charges may ever be brought" but that's been dropped. Does that mean charges are more likely now? Why don't they stop trying to spin anti-clockwise and drop the whole phrase? It was only invented for this case anyway.
Channel 4 News last night reported that Miss Turner was under such stress that her memo began with the words: "Oh f***!"
The phrase echoed the language used by the Department of Transport's former permanent secretary Sir Richard Mottram in the run-up to the then Transport Secretary's Stephen Byers' resignation in 2002.
The civil servant was famously quoted as telling a colleague: "We're all f*****. I'm f*****. You're f*****. We're all completely f*****."
This is nothing compared to the Mummy Returns 'history'(as fawkes would have it) at iraqdossier.com!!!
Guido, may I suggest you begin with...."You're all f**ked - Thank you and goodbye"
Anonymong 6.55am:
(1) Can't you read Wikipedia? Guido is a man of independant wealth. It's called capitalism.
(2) What the fuck is a NuLab staffer doing up at that ungodly hour? Can I see a cloud of post-midnight oil from my office window? And was it burnt because of an email that began 'Oh fuck'?
Oy vey!
What the fuck is a NuLab staffer doing up at that ungodly hour?
Too much Charlie probably...
I've never risen to the bait before but now I can't resist. Surely even Guido must have winced before writing that "the Beeb was too frit to broadcast" the cash for honours story when we got it first, were legally prevented stopped from broadcasting it and continued the legal battle until we were able yesterday to reveal even more of what was said in that now famous document. Sorry to spoil a running theme that keeps this site boiling.
Ruth Turner has a nightmare:
here
Roof & the silver haired Yid, know how Dr Kelly felt now.
Thrown to the wolves to protect possibly the most dishonest & mendacious PM in British Parliamentary history.
Surely at least one of them will fight Tony rather than collapse under the pressure.
Roofy still has to find job come summertime, so she will be crazy to lie down for the liar/killer/fraudster/ PM
From the Daily Mail website:
Mr Justice Wilkie, who granted the original injunction, said that "there is a substantial element of truth in what the intended BBC broadcast was to say".
He added: "There is a document addressed to Jonathan Powell in the course of which she (Ruth Turner) alleges that Lord Levy had asked her to lie for him."
I would say that this is a considerably firmer statement than what appears on the BBC website, buried on the politics page.
Surely though sleazy Levy has done enough leaking to ensure a trial can't be held?
At least against him.
If the Jew has any balls he will hang Bliar in he press though.
For soneone like Levy the perfect retributiion surely has to be to try preventing Bliar having a lucrative career in the hole known as America
Obviously 'nick robinson' @ 12:48 isn't him. He didn't say: "and yet, and yet" or: "if, and it's a big if".
Well I hope she didn't lie for him, she'll be toast if she did, Levy & co won't lift a finger to help her.
So maybe it was an email or draft
Times on line
An honourable mention
Over from California last week was Victor Limongelli, president of Guidance Software, an IT company, whose kit searches and recovers digital information from computer networks. He was meeting law firms such as DLA Piper to pitch the benefits of the system and to explain how useful it could be when doing discovery on IP cases or fraud. Any examples of its effectiveness? Sure were. Mr Limongelli’s software was used by the Metropolitan Police to track down the e-mail at the heart of last week’s cash-for-honours rumpus. Timing is everything.
If this ever actually gets to court, there is bound to be a film.
Who will play Guido?
Danny de Vito.
Has anyone answered the obvious question in all this, yet?
Has anyone answered the obvious question in all this, yet?
Obviously they have. Twice.
er... sorry. Blame IE on Windoze Mobile.
The question stands....
This is NOT news.
If she had said: "I have been asked to tell the TRUTH".
...it would be news..
Interesting point of view. Discuss
