Miliblogger Sulking, De-linking
Miliband has, in an incredibly revealing fit of pique, now removed his link to this blog from his blog-roll, (he only added Guido to his blog-roll a month ago for some blogospheric street cred). This follows the New Statesman recently removing their blog link last month after Guido criticised them for not covering the Smith Institute scandal, despite them sharing an office with the Sith. Is Guido bovvered? This proves Guido's oft made point about politicians and their alleged desire for an interactive online conversation with the public, they only want agreement and consent, not dissent. How enjoyably childish of Miliband.

How much will it have cost us taxpayers for him to do that?
Ask Milliband if Blair is Catholic
He has been to Rome to see Pope
Only the Pope can convert in secret apparently...
any constitutional consequences ??
Why is David Militant allowed to spend taxpayers' money on an overtly party political web site? Is there not a body that oversees expenditure like this?
Your posters are a foul mouthed bunch, your blog was enjoyed by many but is now a hangout for the silly folk.Who in their right mind would want to link to it or even read it anymore ?
Mike, You're David Millibland and I claim my £10. Now fuck off you NuLab moron.
You can see the thinking behind this decision I feel, obscenity is a requirement of the comments page, does Dave link to your site I wonder ? If not why not ? If he does indeed link to it then I will drop in and ask him what he thinks to some of the comments posted.
Guido's blog is the best of the bunch and may even take the eventual accolade of destroying Gordon Brown's leadership ambitions following Guido's exposure of "BogeyGate".
It's the talk of Westminster right now and is turning Brown into an object of both mirth and repulsion.
The fact is there's not many MP's and political journos who don't take a regular peek at what's on Guido's blog!

The majority of the voters don't even know what a blog is.
12:59 PM You may be right about a "foul mouthed bunch" on Guido's blog ,but please stop and read through the swearing ,there are a lot of angry voters here who are fed up with the way this country is governed ,be they left ,right or centre,it's the only place they can come to ,to find out what's happening ,the tv and paper's are rubbish or biased.
Mike, who said anything about "the majority of the voters"?
I often suspect that you Brownites are on a different planet to the rest of us.
I think it's worth pointing out that there were plenty of people saying fuck shit and cunt on here before miliband ever linked to guido, there were plenty of people saying fuck shit and cunt on here after he put guido on his "blog roll" and there are still plenty of people saying fuck shit and cunt here now.
That suggests there may, just may, NOT be a causal relationship between offensive comments and the removal of the link.
I think Guido has inspired the cover of next week's Private Eye:
Pic of Gordo in full frontal, bogey chewing action.
vindictive?
Wait till the Bogeyman becomes PM and deports you back to Eire as a highly undesirable alien.

The majority of the voters don't even know what a blog is
Mike has the world passed you by there a lot's of people who know what's blogs are and use them, checkout the figures for people who have Broadband, even us trash oldies know what a blog is.
I am not usually foul-mouthed in print although years of unasked exposure to Labour-supporting "celebrities" may have led to my spoken English standards slipping.
I feel that the comments by "mike" and the "happy pensioner " are appreciated by the blog reading public.I thought the "happy pensioner" who bravely posted his appreciation of Gordons budget on another thread on this blog and was then mercilessly attacked by your obscene followers for his views was unforgivable.I know he was upset,an aged person who was berated by the mob who hang out here, not acceptable, you hooligans I feel this blog should be closed down, shame on you all.
The trouble is that if you keep taunting him Guido, Millipede might get livid and stop bloging. Then it'll be a new pencil case on the tax payer!
It's been a distrous week for Gordon Brown. He's going to have to keep his nose clean from now on if he's to have any chance of becoming Prime Minister.
The awful thing is I'm such a saddo I can't imagine life without Guido and Iain Dale now.
Happy Pensioner/Retired and happy.
You will not be so happy when you need to use the NL. NHS. Although perhaps you like to go private like most of the NL. government and their families.
If happy pensioner etc are remotely genuine OAPs, I bet they are among the extremely well off elderly who are disproportionately advantaged by the current tax arrangements when compared to younger tax-payers with much lower incomes and assets.
Why should people over 65 be assumed to be universally poor? Gordon doesn't apply this reasoning to any other group.
If you are the crowd that thinks your puerile postings are going to affect the future re-election of a Labour government you are delusional. We do not fear you bloggers, you will be too busy composing your naff comments to actually get out and vote, how many of you brave chappies has ever been out canvassing for your party ? No you sit in front of your computer and convince yourself that your soon to be posted comment will change the world, what a load of clowns you really are to be sure.

Hi ratty nice to see you again, well I trust.
Milliband childish and petulant? Yes well he's very young isn't he?
Give him a few years and he may turn into something worth considering, but he's got a long way to go yet.
Miliband may become Prime Minister yet though I have a sneaking feeling it's going to be Jack Straw who eventually takes it as a "unity candidate" following a bitter election between BogeyMan Brown and a Blairite.
Astute comment here from someone on politicalbetting.com:
"The unsavoury Gordon Brown nasal incident must also not be forgotten, unfotunately. In case anyone missed it on the net, it got a full half page in yesterday’s Metro - the free paper - with a series of photos and accompanying text.
Terrible terrible publicity for Brown. Just the sheer Yuk factor. And then he wipes it on his necktie. Crikey.
I’m sorry to drag everyone through this Ugh moment again, but I actually think it will have an effect. Metro is read by millions of people - so millions of people - ordinary workers and commuters - have seen the Nasal Probe photos. And millions of people will now always associate Brown with this, and wince.
Such apparently trivial embarrassments can be political death. Kinnock’s triumphant We’arrrrright! That US politician’s absurd yelping and shouting (I forget his name, you know the one I mean). Redwood’s Welsh Anthem singing. Hague’s abominable baseball cap. And now Gordon’s nasodigital disaster.
I think Nick Palmer is right, there’s simply no-one to oppose Brown, and the mechanics aren’t there to assist any challenger. Brown will will get the leadership almost by default.
But Nick Palmer is wrong, as usual, on everything else. He thought the Budget went down well - what bollox. There’s been relentless bad publicity ever since, even excluding the nose thing. The Budget tanked, because Brown is a bad salesman with an increasingly poor image.
Labour are therefore stuck with a leader who will lose against Cameron."
Where I disagree with the above comment is that it will be a coronation for Brown. With Mandelson back on the case and working alongside Milburn, Clarke (and Blair!) to stop Brown succeeding I think it's still all to play for.
Sorry if that upsets you Tories. I know you're keen to see the BogeyMan take over as Cameron will wipe the floor with him in a GE.
Golden oldie/Happy pensioner/Retired and happy
You really are very transparent. Me thinks that if you are brave enough to go out canvassing for this bunch of gangsters then you may find yourself getting lynched by your core voters.

Milibrain didn't do very well on the Daily Politics phone-in survey on Friday. But then again neither did that 'propeller-head wonk' Cameron.
If somebody in Tone's Cabinet actually gets sufficent backbone to stand against the nazal-one then the next General Election could be 'interesting'
As much as I love this blog (and I do), it can be a LITTLE tiring scrolling through all the "fucks" and "nuLabs". When you take out the angry Tories and the "astro-turfers" (I don't quite get that - are they supposed to be people who work for the Labour Party or Labour supporters??) there are always some interesting or witty comments left, it's just finding them....
Let's not speculate too far into the future. The good Mr Yates may bring the whole NL house down!

Good luck to you, so's my pensioner dad, he does it because his mother did, but if you ask him why, his left eye starts twitching like Herbert Lom as Chief Inspector Dreyfuss on a bad day. I suspect most of Lab's (and Tory) votes are garnered in this way, out of unthinking and generally muffinheaded misty-eyed backward glances - one of the downsides of democracy I fear.

So THATS what "socialists" do on a Saturday, probably much the same thing as during their state funded week - they're so rare to find in my world of private and meaningful employment. Regrettably I won't be heading over to return the favour on one of the "plethora" of socialist blogs, as Mrs. Tuscan's been painting today and I need to watch the stuff dry for a little longer.

I think this last ten years has been a profound shock to many people.
The BBC for 18 years kept up a strongly critical standpoint of the then Tory government on every single issue there was. Given more then ample exposure to left and far left socialism and its most strident proponants.
This behavior by the BBC, although frustrating and annoying was given a pass by many free market libertarians because of our mutual distrust of ALL governments.
However the shock after May 1997 was that the BBC stopped scutinising government, and openly made mad passionate love with it.
Even the disinterested started to see what the BBC always has been. A socialist construct dedicated to its own survival, with an institutional political bias of incureable proportions.
Thank God for the internet otherwise the voice of the common man may have been lost forever from political debate.
Better late then never.
Sites like this one will still be popular and desperately required long after we end up with a Conservative government. This time we will have some voice to ensure David Cameron stays on the 'straight and narrow.'
One thing we can all be safely sure about that the BBC will attack everything a Tory government does, whoever is leading the party, However they will ALWAYS do this from the far left.
The BBCs influence is now a "busted flush" for a generation at least, so can be almost fully discounted for the next 15 years or so.
Never again will the BBC be trusted for honest information or impartiality, by anyone other then socialisms world-wide indoctrinated victims.
This has to be a good thing for the future of everyone in the western world.

There's nothing more ridiculous than supporters of a self-righteous political philosophy based on stealing from the successful and subsidising the moronic. Labour is the party of social outcasts and losers and always will be.
Crisis talks are taking place all weekend in the Brown bunker. Brown himself is said to be in despair, alternating between his monumental tantrums and self-pitying sobbing, followed by occasional delusions of grandeur.

The fight to the finish between Blair and Brown goes up several notches today....
Blair annoints Miliband as his chosen successor:

Meanwhile Brownites leak stories in a desperate effort to get Blair out and Brown in before the BogeyMan's standing deteriorates even further:

Don't underestimate the growing strength of feeling in the Labour Party against Brown and the growing support for David Miliband as the best candidate to take on Cameron at the next GE.
Backstabbing BogeyMan Brown is on the way out. Good riddance.
Hmmmm. This Milliband chappie. The main question for me is not whether he is Liar's anointed successor, but whether he is actually human. I am pretty sure he has been grown in a greenhouse in the garden at Number 10
The Observer/Guardian have got it in for the bogeyman today...
"We should judge Gordon by the company he keeps
......The more salient criticism of Cohen, however, is that his friendship with Brown could lend an impression that private influence protects private equity from proper public scrutiny, saving its practitioners squillions in tax. Cohen is drier than a cactus; no wonder he gets on with prickly Gordon.
But next time we hear the thwack of rubber on catgut in north London, we should ponder this: can Uncle Gordon's connection with comrade Cohen really help the incoming Prime Minister restore our faith in politics?"

"Make no mistake, Scotland Yard was informed that Mr Blair would resign as Prime Minister if he was interviewed under caution," said a source. "They were placed in a very difficult position indeed."
So had Yates' men interviewed him properly then he would have resigned? I doubt he would have. Also, does the fact that he was NOT interviewed under caution give any defence to Levy that deliberate favouritism was shown to the Prime Minister in this case?

Well don't you gullible chappie Brown has not even got a brother.
It looks like the Blair-backed Miliband bandwagon is rolling. This is hot off the presses:
Miliband: PM wants me to challenge Brown for No 10
Secret plans for Environment Secretary David Miliband to launch a last-minute leadership challenge against Gordon Brown have been discussed by senior Labour MPs.
Sources close to Mr Miliband say he is still under pressure from Tony Blair and his allies to take on the Chancellor in spite of warnings by Labour MPs that it could be political suicide for him.
"We have received a clear signal that the PM wants David to have a shot at it," said one.
"David has not ruled it out completely but realises that it is a huge gamble. If he lost badly, it could be ruinous and if he won, it could cause such a violent backlash from Brown that it may not be worth it."
Mr Brown's enemies are considering launching their own 'coup' against the Chancellor when Mr Blair announces he is resigning immediately after the townhall elections on May 3....cont

Good old Peter Kilfoyle, a straight talking honest Merseyside MP like Frank Field:
"...Influential former Labour Minister Peter Kilfoyle, a key figure in Mr Blair's Labour leadership campaign in 1994, stepped up the pressure on Mr Brown last night, echoing former Cabinet Secretary Lord Turnbull's claim that the Chancellor is 'like Stalin'.
Mr Kilfoyle said: "Stalin waited until he had taken over before he began the show trials - but Gordon appears to have killed off all his rivals already."
