LibDems: "Corruption is a Crime"

“We can cut crime” – that’s the message from the Liberal Democrats’ spring conference in Harrogate, they even launched two new websites last night: a special blog to keep tabs on the multiple failures at the Home Office (www.homeofficewatch.com) and an online petition calling for a full inquiry into corruption allegations.

Excellent news. Perhaps they will now repay the defrauded £2.4m they got from their crooked backer who languishes in jail? Strangely nowhere on www.corruptionisacrime.com is Michael Brown mentioned...

Typical of the holier than thou Lib-Dems, everyone elser is corrupt but they are as pure as the driven snow.
The Lib-Dems in Richmond upon Thames have left a trail of slime over their 25 years of rule.
They are not immune to the old adage of power and corruption.

Is it true the residents of Richmond upon Thames have an unwritten rule not to sell their homes to non-whites.

I want to see the LDems 'policy' on crime. SERIOUSLY! For example:- how alcholism affects the crime statistics; how prostitution is linked to crime. I can think of two Ldems who could comment on those questions.....

Really Simon? Thank God there are no alcholic Tory MPs who habitually use prostitutes and talk about a "hard line" on these rather complex issues...

Off topic..

Guy Fawkes, when will you realise that just like MSM, you have a front page and to displace a hot story at the top of your blog with a lame story about a lame party that nobody cares about, is insanity.

You take advertising, so I guess you're in it for the money. You really need someone to manage the online side for you as you don't seem to have much of a clue except as a keen amatuer.

The Blog is looking dated and tired.

Why not host your own using Wordpress? Out of the box it would be a startling contrast to your misaligned dotted lines and mixture of bizarre colours and confusion of ad messages.

This site needs a mid-life kicker before it falls too far behind.

All the best,

Tom

Tom,

This blog has been going downhill since day two Guido has consistently been told by people with unsuccessful blogs.

Yet, somehow it just keeps getting more and more popular. Content is king.

Perhaps the Lib Dems might like to comment on the hijacking of the joseph Rowntree Reform Trust, a company that was formed to benefit social reform movements long before the Lib dems existed, and was explicitly established to assist groups other than established political parties.

Ah yes, "complex issues" - a term used by those to try and defend peoples' bad behaviour. 9 times out of 10 there's nothing remotely "complex" about it, someone has simply chosen freely to do something generally considered wrong or stupid.

Lol Guido,
How long is it that political parties get to decide whether to return a donation? Is it 28 days or something like that?
Just one question, how has it taken for in-depth investigations and court hearings to determine that Michael Brown was dodgy? And he stood to gain nothing from the donation.
I mean it's not like they put pressure on a law enforcement agency to drop an investigation

Tom,

Can you actually read, or do you just look at the squiggly patterns? Guido has mentioned that the whole look of his blog is being changed, he was asking for any assistance some while back ... but, of course, if you can't read that would have passed you by :-)

Those who have nothing to offer themselves are always the first to be critical of another's shortcomings. Strange that Guido has such a huge, growing audience, with such a terrible site!

To be fair to the Lib Dem's, it's not as though he bought anything with it. I'd much rather our politicians were living off the laundered money of minor criminals than taking my hard-earned. Or having policies and tax cuts and advertising ban exceptions and lordships bought.

Say what you like about the lib dems they don't (can't) peddle influence.

Agree with the first bit.

However I would not underestimate the influence that having controll between 15-20% or the voting public has over what type of government this country has. How many people vote Lib/Dem and from which of the other main parties they take their votes from has decided all elections since WW2.

Therefore inspite of our electorial system the Lib/dems should take almost as much responsibility as any other party.

You can tell the lib dems are blogging here having to defend ming campbell or as he is called in scotland menglish ceam beul the translation for campbell two words crooked and mouth says it all

Mr Brown is no more of a criminal type than you or I Mr Fawkes, we are both "criminals", as no doubt 99.99% of the people that read your blog are.
The difference is that Brown is insane, why else would anybody pony up a single £1 to the Lib dems let alone the price of a half decent boat or three Bugatti Veyrons or hoards of six feet tall eastern european "models" (yayo included) To a bunch of sexual misfits, drunks and liars who have no more chance of achieving power than I have of shagging Jennifer Lopez on airforce one.
Clear case of diminished responsibility.

Please kindly also sign this Online Downing Street Petition about General Medical Council (GMC) Racism :

If we don't get the message across to the GMC now , then Eastern European Doctors are going to be doomed as well - in addition to those many thousands of African and Asian Doctors who have already suffered such rabid discrimination by the GMC.
