Bah, humbug. I had a pony on with Betfair that it would top out in the range £ 450-£500

Its The Hitch who's winning by the way...

Nice to see you trying to profit from charity Mr T , thats cynical even for me.
What next , betting on an African child making it through a sprint across a minefield?
Actually that has given me an idea for a televison program

Mr Mutley I havent made a bid , I shall be handing some money to the Royal British legion in the next few days , far better cause than buying a goat for a foreigner.

Hmm - looks like a chick has won, and there was me expecting that some middle aged saddo would pay through the nose for a night of drooling over KTR. Perhaps you'll strike it lucky instead Guido? only down side is that she appears to have kids - note otehr recent ebay purchases http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170076518720 and http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170079228474 . Even so, I hope Mrs Fawkes doesn't get overly jealous...

I've just received an email from eBay informing me my bid was not successful. I am sure however that Guido will be pleased to hear that I have been offered a list of "similar items on eBay" which includes, inter alia a "Morphy Richards Play Iron with lead and plug"

I've managed to hack Ebay and have found that the winning bidder was someone who calls himself "Guido 2.0"

Who he?

If we accept that "victoria" is a chick....could be Margaret Beckett.
