Yippee Aye-Ay
Outriders coming... If you believe all that guff about Milburn and Clarke having a friendly chat with Brown about the "need for a debate" and emailing the PLP for just that reason, you'll believe the tooth fairy took all the WMD in Iraq away. Them darn Outriders is gettin' themselves a possee together tomorrow...

I'm gonna make them an offer they can't refuse.
But will Milburn accept the draft?
This is all just negative campaigning from the British Conservative Party. Blogging is dangerous and corrosive.
Fill your hands, you sons of bitches.
Those two nasty men have made me fill my nappy with a plop plop
It's "posse", dear boy.
possums clearly , ,
Bloggins is dangerous and corrosive.......Hmmm, Methinks replace the word Blogging with Labour for a more accurate picture...
Postman Pat and TB keep Brown off the headlines - whilst Clarke and Milburn gather the villagers and pitch forks. Yep there's a conspiracy .... Question is will the Clunking Fist get his retaliation in first (no if past form is anything to go by ).
Don't goad the Gord, man, he don't take that shit - he'll run them pussy boys right out the hood.
Guido,
When talking of NuLabour, Bruce Willis instructs us that we should hail them not by "Yippee Aye-Ay", but rather by the term "Yippie-kay-yay".
Invariably followed, of course, by "motherfucker" - and a lift-shaft full of C4. So much more portable than barrels of gunpowder...
you'll believe the tooth fairy took all the WMD in Iraq away.
I do believe that basically , I think they hid them or sneaked them off on boats or did something with them.
Otherwise why not let the inspectors inspect. Blair was right to go in with the US in Iraq and this coutry`s respect in the world ,in as much as it has some, is directly attributable to that.
It is the only good thing he did but at least he did it
um what was the post about ?
But Blair invented intelligence to back his case up and frightened us into thinking that Iraq could launch missile at the UK, and failed to plan for what would happen once Saddam was toppled.
It may be the only good thing Blair did (in your book) but he made a pretty bad hash even at that.
Meanwhile Gordon and the rest of Labour don't have the balls to get rid of him even though they don't agree with a word that he says!
" Blogging is dangerous and corrosive"
To Gordon and his ego ?
newmania,
The reason you don't let inspectors inspect is excatly because you DON'T have weapons of mass destruction - but with a neighbour to your east with whom you have fought heel-to-toe for eight years who may well invade you if HE doesn't think you still have them, you have to keep up appearences.
Saddam Hussain as Hyacinth Bucket. Discuss. Use both sides of the paper...
"...we believe the critical thing is to develop an open process for ideas and views to be aired. Many colleagues have suggested that such a process would provide the opportunity not just of addressing the Party - important though that is - but of engaging with the wider public..."
A new Wiki, perhaps ? hurrah bloody hurrah, can't wait
Fowler,
Not the first time Guido has had an extra "e". It sounds more Wild West.

Dear Senor Guido
My Weasel friends wish to protest most vehementally at your specie-ism in suggesting that Weasels support NeuLabour
Weasels (stoats & tree octopodia) repudiate such animositous suggestions - they have much higher political standards

You might find that they are ferrets, old boy...

Your spelling is Elizabethan, but as you were born in 1570 that's only to be expected.
Carry on.
Milburn and Clarke invite PLP to mass debate over Gordon Brown ?
Are you saying that some Labour MPs are plotting to stop McBroon taking over from Blair? Have I got that right?
Would this be the same Clarke who is in danger of losing his seat at the next generals....?
Quite a statement of how keen Team Blair is to winkle out of Broon exactly what he has up his sleeve - for purposes of ridicule and/or pre-emption.
The only things that can take Blair down are his own decision, personal disaster, the British army, or the Commons.
As all MPs see facing the electorate as something to be avoided at all costs all this discussion of the Labour party, its practices, and its peculiar denizens is dull.
From time to time Blair gets the Opposition to support him when the PLP is stupid enough to threaten causing electorate-facing.
The whole House supports Blair in having no interference from the electorate for another 3 years.
Brown, as ever, doesn't understand about rules and practice. He's weird.
yes, but who are these 'blairite outriders' going to install as PM ?
Clearly not Clarke - damaged goods.
Clearly not Milburn - out of the loop for far too long.
Clearly not Byers, the other Blairite 'outrider' - he's just incompetent.
Surely they aren't desperate enough to be looking at Milibandwidth ??
No, far more likely that they will be looking to 'Sheriff' Reid to give them their 'deputy' badges...
As John Cleese sang all those years ago;
'I've got a ferret sticking up my nose'!
Nothing changes does it.
anon 8.30 Blair
hg - ??
anon. 8.36 Blair did goodbye Labour six months ago. He is PM till he chooses to go or is taken down by force.
I couldn't care less about Labour and its leader-choosing.
Sorry, I’ve had a crap day today worrying about the problems I have with council wasters and spongers.
Note from the TPA.
“The taxpayer is also paying over £284,000 a year into Mr Prescott’s pocket... made up of his ministerial salary of £133,997, an estimated £35,911 towards his gold-plated pension fund and £115,000 for his MP allowances, including payments towards council tax and mortgage interest on his home in Hull."
Cry in hell?
anyone else notice that Gordon Brown has today tried to out-BNP the BNP?

"He said he believed his earlier call for immigrants to be required to be able to speak English to be granted citizenship was now widely accepted"
funny how the one-eyed Cyclops forgets about Welsh, Scottish ,Manx, Cornish and Irish gaelic languages, which are also languages of the UK.
Not to mention the fluent French of Norman descended aristocracy.
Does that mean therefore that Russian billionaires will now have to do English language lessons and community service? Or those Saudi princes in London?
Or it is more of a case of pointing the finger at brown skinned people?
(and at the end of the day - who really gives a shit if you dont speak English? most people just get on with it and learn the damn thing without any government help)
Substitute "Gordon Brown" for "Nick Griffin" in that BBC report and i really would be hard pressed to tell the difference.
Now imagine if George Bush had proposed the exact same thing in the U.S. - you can bet your life that the BBC would all aghast and up in arms about it , throwing the word "racism" around.
Funny how the "racist" tag isnt being hurled at the one eyed robbing bastard from Scotland.
Mania
I know for a fact that you are highly intelligent, but some times you do come out with the most outrageous bollocks, I assume that you were joking when you said Saddam (may he rest in peace) tucked away a few WMDs or shipped them elsewhere?
and meanwhile, here's a party political broadcast from the labour party
http://i9.tinypic.com/2wgronl.jpg
oh wait. no. thats the BBC politics page
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/default.stm
I prefer to see them as fish in a barrel with the electorate holding the gun.
"...we believe the critical thing is to develop an open process for ideas and views to be aired. Many colleagues have suggested that such a process would provide the opportunity not just of addressing the Party - important though that is - but of engaging with the wider public..."
How can people talk such guff without laughing? Why not just say "we want the party and the public to have a debate about certain issues".
The global markets are in meltdown this evening as predicted TO THE EXACT DAY by Martin Armstrong.
Very weird...very spooky.
Breaking News: Police are tonight investigating allegations of vote rigging by Labour supporters by Shrewsbury's Tory MP.
Apparently this is centred on Labour Party members who work for the post office.
Tomorrow's morning meeting (10.30am Wednesday 28th February) at the City Inn hotel, Westminster.
Just in case anyone wants to join in!
Unrest is growing amongst Labour Party members at the prospect of back-stabbing Brown taking over, particularly with the recent polls showing a growing Tory lead and the clear prospect of stories detrimental to Brown being leaked before the GE.
I hear it's now odds on that a viable challenger will emerge who will have Tony's tacit support aswell as the backing of increasing numers of MP's and some leading TU's.
Gordon's chickens are about to come home to roost.
Still not clear what is meant by this - are you saying that these Labour MPs are starting a debate within the Labour Party with the express intention of stopping Gordon McBroon becoming Labour leader because they think he will lose the next election to Call me Dave? Is that it? If so why doesn't anybody just say that? Cripes, when it take the court jester to explain the fucking plot you are in Shakespeare play - I wonder which one it will turn out to be?
Cowardy custard Brown is shitting himself now
Written by Jackie Ashley, last April in the Graun.
At first sight, Alan Milburn's strong hint that he will challenge Gordon Brown for the leadership looks like a kamikaze mission.
'But a combination of business fears and attacks from the Murdoch press could turn public opinion and this is what is crucial to Milburn's calculation. If the 50-plus Labour MPs in marginal seats start to see the polls turning against Brown, they might put their heads before their hearts and vote for the Blairite candidate who could win Middle England, rather than Brown.
It is a long shot. My own view that is that Brown remains unstoppable and rightly so. But Milburn's move, though it looks like madness, has a certain method in it.'
Mmm. Interesting, eh?
But I thought the toothfairy did take the WMDs away?
ann,
no, it was the blairyfairy silly.
