Blears' SpAd is on Holiday

Paul Richards is a strange lad. He chooses to spend his holidays working on the boss' deputy leadership campaign and ringing Guido to tell him he was on leave yesterday and today "in accordance with the Code of Conduct". Wonder why he panicked and bothered changing his Facebook entry this morning, after Guido's story, in that case?

It will be September by the time the campaign is over - if he is going to help the boss and stick to the Code of Conduct, he better take unpaid leave. The co-conspirators will be watching...

If you see any other greasy pole climbing SpAds helping their principal's campaign at the taxpayer's expense, email Guido. Photos especially welcome.

Is he spinning at 78 RPM since Guido's observations?

None of the SpAds will be able to stick to the code of conduct, its a physical impossibilty.
If Hazel discusses her campaign in the office, as part of a general conversation then he's in the shit.
We may as well report the lot now, and have done with.

I think you are missing the point, he is probably some kind of wannabe sex slave to La Blears , No doubt he dreams of running his tongue along her 5 inch heels whilst she sternly lectures him about social justice.
This is why he spends his holidays working for her.
I may be wrong.

Just a thought, John McTernan is a SpAd for Blair...yet he is leading up the backroom Labour campaign for the Scottish Parliament. Is he allowed to do this as a SpAd?

PM's SpAds have different rules - guido thinks they can waste the taxpayers money on party business.

I always appreciate the irony that 'spad' is also an acronym on the rail ways for 'Signal Passed At Danger' - an accident waiting to happen, in other words...

If NuLab weren't in the shits financially, perhaps they'd be able to hire researchers to do their party work instead of using public money to hire these gimps.

As a tory I really want Hazel for deputy. I almost said PM but I think she may out fuck up the country more than the gay gordon

What? Like legal aid solicitors etc? Wonder if Ruth Turner reversed the charges to call her brief.

no one wants an inquiry into whose staff are doing what. its against the rules for all MPs staff to assist in campaigning.

Wonder what Cameron's staff were up to during his leadership campaign? sure they were probably all on official leave, and everytime they answered a message of support they logged those 5 minutes, totted them all up and asked them tobe dedeucted from their wages.

come on. this is standard practice across all parties, nothing to do with NuLab.
