Prime Minister Tony Blair has said he feels "deep sorrow" for Britain's role in the slave trade ... probably because he reckons we should never have abolished it!
However, he doesn't give a f*** about the kids he is responsible for slaughtering in Iraq now.

On the 200th anniversary of a law passed in the UK to abolish slavery...the first and leading law of its kind in the world...we should celebrate and be thanked, not contemplating an apology.

Blair apologising about slavery is meaningless nonsense. This sort of thing could only come from New Labour, a party so devoid of ideas and common sense it's almost comical.
How about he apologises to the people of Iraq and the lies he told before becoming Bush's lapdog. How about apologising to the tens of thousands of pensioners who have lost their entire retirement income after following Government advice. How about apologising for misleading the entire British public in 1997 before his band of thieves were elected. Of course student grants would be safe, no more boom and bust, no more sleaze, no more mixed wards, the NHS is safe under Labour... ad nauseam.

I sure that he is the cultural minister who has been responsible for cutting grants to lots of local organisations on the grounds that they are not doing enough for ethnic minorities. I know of one local chamber orchestra whose grant has been cut on these grounds, despite the fact that they perform in local hospices, old people's homes, etc.
If you live in a village which is all white your village hall won't be getting any more grants either from the Government or the lottery fund.

We should not apologise for the slave trade. What system of morality can hold me morally culpable for actions that were not my own but were those of people who have been dead for 200 years? It would not only be illogical for me to apologise, it would also be immoral. And for someone to apologise, without my permission, on my behalf, would be utterly reprehensible.
