A-listers Scramble for Seats

Tomorrow notice of the second tranche of seats is due to be e-mailed to Tory A-listers. Expect numerous mess ups and people left off the list by CCHQ, just like the previous times. No doubt ConservativeHome.com will publish the list of seats immediately. The deadline for the A-listers to apply for these seats is expected to be mid-October. As the polls improve competition is becoming ever more fierce.

Starting to lose my respect for the man, especially when he advised watching V for Vendetta in an earlier blog which was a pile of ostrich turd.

I tend the find the A List only becomes interesting when it features candidates with a colourful history. Let us hope the Tories produce plenty!

Yea like, I've 'eard that this Cameron bloke want's to sort of 'ave a load of MP's that kind of reflect society as it is today, like.

The Labour part'ee look a bit finished to me, like and my mate, reckons the Tories are the biz for next time.

So, if this Cameron geezer is serious about gettin' some real people in his party who represent the real workin' class, (although some us can't be arsed to actually work,) then I reckon I might have a go at this A list shit an' that.

My main platform will be "bring back hanging" for most crimes against the person and "throw away the key" for the rest. Oh and abolish Council Tax, nice one!

I'll wear me best hoodie and me big knuckleduster ring at the selection meeting.

How can I fail?

Count Graplecard,
It is rumoured that Piers Morgan has a perverse interest in the extraction of semantic information from monolingual and multilingual corpora. A truly depraved mind at work, obviously.

Viz:that A-list fiasco, I expect Louise Bagshawe will resurface, alas.

What's all this about Ruth Turner being questioned by the police? It's on the Beeb this morning.

Any juicy details, Guido?

"Mr Miliband, meanwhile, would be a good match for David Cameron. Clever, young and engaging, he represents the generational shift that many in the country yearn for."

Whoa, Mary Ann! Two "columns" in a week. Tepid generalisations from start to finish, but still, congrats!

What is all this about fingering sticky ends? I come here for the detailed policy debates and the boring Tory a-list (a vague play on the Aurora Borealis, if you've had a few drinks first).

Not many Northern lights on that list, I see.

Oh dear.

non-story guido - labour will win next time

electoral system is incredibly pro labour and antitory

Labour got 98 or 99 more seats in England than Conservatives with FEWER VOTES last time round

almost zero chance of tories getting a working majority

While we're on the subject of Star Wars, has anyone else noticed the resemblance of golden boy David Cameron to the courtesy droid C-3PO?

It's not just the mannerisms; even their voices are virtually indistinguishable. They both move rather awkwardly and are obsessively anxious not to offend. They even share the same wide-eyed gawp and flappy armed way of making absolutely no point whatsoever.

Keep up the good work.

Bolloxed that one up. That's the other fella.

Dear Senor Guido

Can we be spared Mr Morgan's Secret/s - it can't be that secret if Mr Hitchens knows about it (or them)

Inspired by Captain Sparrow of the Black Pearl, we come here for Freedom & Entertainment

.... and for you to tell us all about the Police fingering [interviewing] Ruth Kelly (an adviser to our Dear Leader at no 10)

Alles Gute

I have been tipped off that I am not on the (B) "A" list.

World Domination and Tyranny just doesn't resonate with nu tories.

Take care of Meester Cameron. See that some harm comes to him.

Muuwaahahahaha!

Evil of dron,
Despair not. You could always apply to the Ukip A-List. They're always on the look out for your type.
