Levy's Consolation Prize

The was a touching scene the night before last in Albert Square, Manchester. Lord Levy was consoling a very worried man. Sleazy Levy had one hand on the man's shoulder and the other gripping his elbow as a taxi waited. They must have had the meter on the taxi running for ages since they were having a very animated discussion about something. Levy was quite chipper whereas his friend was disgruntled and worried. "Don't worry; it'll all be all right; don't worry" Levy assured the troubled man.

So far nothing that you have not read already on Iain Dale's blog earlier. Guido believes that the weepy man was none other than Nick Bowes, formerly the Labour Party's Head of High Value Fundraising. Nick is a reader of this blog from his desk at the metal bashers and widget makers trade association the EEF, he is up in Manchester on their behalf.

Guido has emailed Nick to corroborate this piece but has as yet no reply to his questions. Let us hope the detectives got more answers out of him...

Probably got nice soft skin , yes he will go down very nicely indeed on "the wing" no doubt he will find a "daddy" to look after him and keep him as his cell joey.

Another one of TB's sacrificial lambs due for a carving up.Yes, I fancy he will forge some thick and fast intimacies on the "inside" - if it turns out he is guilty.

The most likely of outcomes of this smelly episode are as follows;

Plod will cock it up.
Humpy will smudge it over.
An inter party détente

The trail doubtless leads to all sorts of big fish who aren’t about to take a hot poker up the botty from anyone.

Anyway, lots can and will happen to distract those who want a result.

Events dear boy!

This reminds me of the treachery surrounding Fingers Forceps, the tea-leaf tea-thief from Tintwistle. He was found to be funnelling farthings from his fathers farm in Farnborough into an illegal tea smuggling business all along the south coast. Corner shops across the Home Counties just couldn't compete with the illegal street blends. It put thousands of family businesses out of the family business, selling their children to the Labour party in return for extra council bin bags.

When will all this democratically elected tyranny end ? The collective weeping of the nation is deafening. Who now can save us....

I'm still worried that underlings will take the rap on behalf of their masters. Like Watergate, this must be taken right to the top.

the people of this country should downsize/cancel their monthly sky subscription and pay it instead to an agency that will investigate this labour regime.....an investigatioon that goes on for years and shines light into their very darkest corners.

Well I had a look at Iain's blog the scoop was there now it has gone ?? found the following an interesting read a few weeks back-http://www.transparency.org.uk/TI_UK_Loans_for_Peerages_note.pdf

What baffles me is why people think TB, Levy et al will ever be in the dock over this stuff.

It never works like that. During the inquiry there are always plenty of stories about how the investigators are really going to throw the book, etc.

Then the punchline is something like the Hutton report.

Mind you the guy who's a nobody is possibly quite right to be worried.

Folks I wouldnt get to carried away this investigation is being carried out by the Metropolitan Police, who have are also setting up a committee of muslims to warn them and get their approval of any future terrorist arrests.....

perhaps they could set up a committee of brainwashed Sedgefield Bingo Players who can be told of any possible arrests of their Tone??!!

Dear Jones The Winger,

I do hope someone will read this out to you. You have it all wrong. Fingers Forceps wasn’t the tea-leaf tea-thief from Tintwistle. He was the cunning courageous cad of a coffee crook from Carlisle. He as also found fencing his father’s farm in Farnborough for forty farthings frequently. His ultimate downfall is that he advertised his beans as slow roast, and the bugger fast roasted them. The DTI will not be having that me old china!

Are the people still weeping? I thought the New Labour tax on tears which they spend on drugs, sex and rock-n-roll had stopped all that. What a dastardly lot these red buggers are, I can’t wait for the salvation of the blue lot < /sarcasm >

Unfortunately, anonymong 1:57 has it right. The Code for Crown Prosecutors sets a high bar in terms of evidence, and I'm sure that those atop have taken steps to cover their trails .... by blaming it on low and middle tiers such as 'Cellmate' Nick Bowes. The CPS will doubtless have plenty of circumstantial dirt, which isn't enough to lay charges but is enough to be highly embarrassing. Let's hope they do their usual leaky sieve impression.

Poor Nick Bowes
Hew will already be convinced to take the hit. He will believe himself to blame and be a bad guy. He will be told and now believe that his societal end will be worth it to save the bigger fish Levy and Blair.
The man must see out of the mental cage and not be constrained by the wishes of former masters. He owes them nothing where as they owe him far more.

Look at a similar situation. The Menezes report was promised before last Christmas. It probably won't be out until next year. This is a deliberate attempt to defuse the genuine anger over what happened. Gradually, slowly, the story loses its impact.

Ah yes - well he made a cardinal mistake; going for a walk in the woods. More true now than ever, going for walks in the woods is bad news for anyone who might damage Tone.

Stick to the road Bowes.

Eileen 12:46 has it right. This is too serious to be allowed to succeed. Losers like Aitken and Archer can be banged up, but when it involves the top boys it's time for some files to get 'lost' or some memories to fail.

could replace the bbc for sky there.
£3 billion was it?

and what could that be spent on?

Suggestions
ageing population
realistic pensions for all given the above reality
nhs overhaul ditto
public transport investment to tackle congestion and what's referred to as global warming
