Big Media Blog Little Red Book

Sky's blogging Adam Boulton has some nice things to say about The Little Red Book of New Labour Sleaze and Hugo Rifkind the Times' blogging diarist and occasional comment maker on here blatantly plugs that we posted Tony a copy in a "whiter than white" envelope. In return let Guido plug Hugo's blog site - go make comments - he does need the traffic.

Alas, Iain Dale vetoed Guido's plan to hand out hundreds of copies of the book to MPs to wave at PMQs today. Typical, none of Guido's plans to disrupt parliament ever seem to meet with success.

That's a shame, it sounds like a great idea. If it's the financial side that is a slight problem with that, I'm sure most MPs would buy a copy to wave a PMQs...

Way back lost in the mists of time the Spectator ran a scheme whereby subscribers were invited to buy at cost subscriptions to the mag to send to Eastern Europe etc. Maybe you and Iain could run a similar scheme to provide copies of the LRB to MPs?

The little red book of sleaze, £7.99

Signed by Cherie & Alistair, £400

Embarrassment factor at PMQs, priceless!

Sounds like you're downsizing your plans anyway Guido...

The one with the gunpowder and the KABOOM! was a much better one.

Give the scandals now erupting on an almost daily basis from the Labour side of the house, dare I suggest that the next run of The Little Red Book of New Labour Sleaze be done in ring-binder format?
