The Whole Truth and Nothing But...

Named Day Written question to: Prime Minister for answer on 02/05/2006:
To ask the Prime Minister how many members of his private office have been interviewed by the Metropolitan Police Specialist Crimes Directorate in connection with investigations relating to the Honours (Prevention of Abuses) Act 1925 and will he make a statement?
The quietly industrious Stewart Jackson MP is asking interesting questions, Growling Chris Grayling and Nigel Evans also keep at it. The PM just says "no running commentary". What he means is "no one is on the run", yet.

Going off topic but its interesting to note the Labour party website have failed to remove the "check against delivery" from their report on Clarke's statement.

Should it not "check we're saying the same lies as him"

Police investigations into NuLabour's fundraising etc?

A key ally of the PM on the ropes because of his department's incompetence?

The Labour 2i/c exposed for having at least one extramarital affair?

Local elections in a week's time?

A really dumb Labour election campaign video?

Where are the attack dogs? Why isn't Dave sending the troops to get mediaeval on Tony's ass?

My God! Fate has given the Opposition so many gifts here even Charlie Kennedy on the morning after a bender could make something of it.

Sod this aversion for Punch and Judy politics; we peasants want bread and circuses. Think lions and Christians. Think public executions. We want NuLabour blood flowing in the gutters!

Come on Dave, give the boys and girls something better than a glacier to cheer about.

RM - you might also have mentioned...

Every university and college lecturer taking industrial action

Every nurse in daily expectation of a P45

Petrol at £1 a litre

God this is exciting...takes me back to '79.

Islingtonian, some similarities with '79 but not as visibly bad yet,(wait for the economy to go properly tits up), the Tories though seem to be lead by someone with the attack instinct of a lettuce leaf.

So we're agreed he's green today.

Dont you know that Dave has bigger worries, Polar Bears, stick insects and whether or not Sir Paul McCartney will approve of the leather seats in his new Lexus (paid for by you and me)
New Conservatives.. New Lexus.

If Dave can't do it, then somebody else should take the initiative.

Apparently Ming blew it at PMQ's this arvie. Does that mean we freeborn Englishmen have got to rely on the SNP again? Or do we wait for the BNP to get into parliament?

Shit! Won't one of our parliamentarians show some balls? It's not like they've even got to work for it. Labour's handing it to them on a plate at the moment.

the real RM,couldn't agree more.it very much feels like we're sitting here watching the turning point at waterloo and wellingtons fucked off for afternoon tea in the middle of the action.

Industrious is the operative word for Stewart Jackson.

He's evidently trying to boost his profile to shore up his majority. A corpse with a blue rosette pinned to it could have beaten Helen Clarke in Peterborough last year. Jackson only marginally managed to do it.

I find him opportunistic but understand why he's doing it and why you're supporting him Guido.

Rigger,

Then we need a Picton to lead the final charge that drives the enemy from the field.

If memory serves right Picton's troops included the Guards and the 52nd Light Infantry (later Ox and Bucks). A marvelous analogy for the victory of class and shires over a jumped up nouveau who thinks too much of himself and yet has neither breeding nor honour.
