Prezza Muddles Up Mistresses

There is a rumour going around in press circles that Prezza, alerted in advance by a journalist that he was going to be exposed, confessed to Pauline about the wrong mistress. He mangles the English language, so muddling up his mistresses would be no surprise.

I'm waiting for the speech from Hewitt, telling us how prezza and his wife are having their best weekend ever, then we'll really know the games up.

Hahah, please let this be true!

Now the question is, was the affair he confessed to the 2nd one in which case that is going to come out sometime soon anyway, or perhaps a 3rd lady who wasn't so rosy?

Which other mistress? The one in the Mirror or the other one? Taking the Bissett, or feeling Rosie with embarassment?

Am I the only one who recalls Fiona Jones' (former Labour MP for Newark) allegations about the DPM? In many respects her 'sex for favours' accusations are far more weighty than the current scandal. She hints that some women ministers were not promoted on political merit.

And am I alone in thinking that the BBC appears anxious to downgrade the Prescott affair? Instead of considering other charges of adultery and sexual harrassment levelled at the DPM in today's press they endlessly rehash the same general facts published in last weeks Mirror. We are then solemnly told by every presenter that this is a 'private matter.'

Funny how the BBC hasn't figured out why sex scandals have become 'private matters' under New Labour...

John Prescott was only trying to be fun and hearty
when he whipped out his cock at the staff christmas party
he staggered around
before falling to the ground
and ended up shagging something quite tarty

John Reids Dealer should remember that Prescott is Welsh and middle class not Yorkshire working class..........................how easily you are taken in................must be another Londoner who thinks Harrogate is on the coast !

Luckily Prescott has friends he can turn to.

This from yesterday's Timesonline:

Mr Prescott has taken advice from friends such as Rosie Winterton, the Health Minister;

I wonder if she is qualified to give advice.

Anonymous re: Fiona Jones - so which female ministers in (presumably) DETR are you thinking of?

Well of course not all of them are promoted on merit. Politicians of either sex are rarely promoted on merit. Duh.

Cronyism, old school networks, "need one of them for the photo ops," ability to toady, willingness to take a bullet for the crappiest policies while asserting the glorious leader is a genius...all of these are reasons politicians get ahead. Does anyone really believe politics is a meritocracy?

Sunday Times:
Allegations are circulating on the internet that further mistresses will be exposed. Within Westminster circles, a junior Labour minister has been named as having an affair with Prescott.

Whoever can they mean? Anyone know?

Where are these wicked allegations circulating?

Its tempting to say that Patricia Hewitt was obviously not picked for her managerial talents but then again.....no not even Prezza would.

Anonymous, when have you ever known the BBC to investigate political sex scandals? It never has. Cecil Parkinson/Piers Merchant/Robin Cook/Mark Oaten were all dug up by the tabloids. When someone stands up what's in the tabloids, it's reported by the BBC. Followed by a response from Prescott himself (whose office has constantly said "it's a private matter"). It's not a conspiracy, it's just being fair and balanced, which is what the BBC does. Grow up please.

bj - surely it's more "scared of the lawyers" rather than "fair and balanced"?

Yes. And when it's licence-payers' cash, rather than News International shareholders' cash, potentially disappearing into the pockets of m'learned friends, don't you think it's good to have a healthy respect for the lawyers?
