The Darbyshires Again
Surely they must be the blog product of the mind of a drug crazed LibDem satirist?
Simon Hughes. We're not supposed to comment in detail. But the truth is out now. All I want to say is we've guessed a long time. The rumour mill was always going. His staff and colleagues used to say he was just a private person, too busy to meet a woman or that he'd been seen out with both men and women. But when someone puts their arms around the two of you and looks chuffed to be able to do so you know they like both flavours!
There is more, so much more, Leah Darbyshire's letter to Burger King complaining at their lack of vegetarian offerings is surreal. Guido is addicted.

Oh, my! What's the URL of the spoof Darbyshires site they are on about?!?
And how great that they still link to Leah's Vox Pop in the Indy after the 2005 Lib Dem conference:
'This was a euphoric end to conference. It has given us real momentum. The future is good for us and we have done well against Labour. Charles is the best leader in British politics and we are keen to go back and continue the work.'
'tis no more.
But the real deal is superior.
Don't know about superior - more like surreal
"He asked me if there was a single one of us that didn't have a sexual deviance. I protested 'well I'm definitely not gay!!'"
Not very PC to accept that homosexuality is a deviance
Reading that, I've cringed so hard that my skin has slithered off and gone to wimper in a dark corner. Every day the Internet makes me realise that the world is an infinitely stranger place than I ever imagined.
Leah, Robin, if by any chance you are reading this, please, please, please keep on with the blog. It is quite the funniest thing I have ever come across, and you are providing a valuable service in distracting Guido from the other 'attractions' in your party.
Meandering though "Leah"'s inane rambles about the lib dems when I clicked on the independent article listed on the side bar. Amused to see the headline "Lib Dems in Blackpoo" - too much Guinness? (or many that is just my puerile sense of humour?!)

Keep up the good work - love reading your blog.
Thank heavens for Google cache:

Truth is very much stranger than fiction now . . .
