Sky News and the Sun are having fun with the LibDems this morning and so, truth be told, is Guido. Now which LibDem leader was Lembit referring to? Do the activists know? Is it another "open secret" at Westminster not fit for the public? Enquiring minds want to know.

Well, he meant Mr Major obviously. He is the only PM to have been publicly outed as having had an affair.

When Mandelson was outed they all said "but everyone knew that". Did most of Parliament know about Hughes too?! I have no problems with gay-ness. Why didn't they tell us. Lying by omission! Haven't we a right to know? How many others are there in the House?
Didn't know anything apart from he is a Lib Dem who often had young men in the house, drove a big yellow taxi(I had that Simon Hughes in the front of a cab once) and smells like a geography teacher...

I'm sure Opik was referring to Major, but there are plenty of other PMs who had affairs, some of them while in office, eg. Asquith/Venetia Stanley, Lloyd-George/Frances Stevenson.
