Miliband Favourite Son

Guido's prophecy and Gordon's nightmare are pictured above. David Miliband is now the hot second favourite (an astonishingly short 8/1) to takeover from Blair - Brown still being the bookies favourite. Guido has laid Brown, and put a little on Ruth Kelly @ 250 / 1 - in order to profit from the prayed for re-Catholicisation of England. Guido seems to recall David and Ruth were once rumoured to be an item. Some say Miliband's oratory is Labour's answer to John Redwood, has anyone seen him singing the Welsh national anthem?

Will Milliband call himself the "heir to Cameron" or would that just be too obvious?

The David and Ruth thing was also alleged on PoliticalBetting earlier this week (when the server was working!).

If you want a good bet get some money on Douglas Alexander now. Once Brown is out of the picture he will become the choice of the party faithful.

Alexander would be the choice of the Brownites in the absence of Brown, but unless he grows a personality there is no hope with the voters - would be John Major plus....

If Jabba is not PM by Easter he never will be. The public now see his economic 'miracle' for the sham it really is. It could take a generation to put things right.

I reckon he can hold the scam together until 2008. If he gets in before then he will call an immediate general election.
